Hey guys! Its day 2 of our calendar countdown! Today we have an Ipsy Advent Calendar! I was really excited about this but unfortunately I feel like Ipsy put very little effort into this calendar. They could have offered and exclusive Item or two or done something to make the calendar feel special and not just a way to get rid of old glam bag stock! Its not the worst but it could for sure be better! Let me know what you think! Love ya💖
I also have very fine hair and I use one of those mini smoothing brushes, especially when it's humid outside. It really tames the frizzies and fly aways for me.

There were 2 different ipsy callendars
Alexandria I too have unruly hair...It use to be thick and wavy now it's so thin you can see through it😪 I have even tried hair extensions and several brands make them beautifully thick but when I put them in they are very noticeable and they are my exact hair color but they are bumpy...please, if you have ideas or your subscribers please lmk bcuz my self confidence is getting lower and lower. I learned something today, and I thought I would share it with you all in light of Alex's frustration with repeats. With Boxycharm, they apparently keep track of all the items they've ever sent you, and if you receive a duplicate within a rolling 12 month period, they will automatically give you a $6 credit (which makes sense.. 5 items for $30 is $6 each) So you basically get a freebie with every duplicate! Ipsy should take a page from Boxy.
Considering ipsy owns boxycharm you would think it would be easy to do the same

Pro tip for the small alien you feel might erupt from your face on your wedding day! The serum acts as a decongestant, which is great - keep using it. However, if a lump is forming under the skin, start using spot patches at night. If nothing else, it will flatten it and it will be much easier to disguise with concealer/foundation on the day 🙂
Definitely hydrocolloid patches. They bring up everything for me.
Honestly I’m going to say if you aren’t subscribed to Ipsy already, this is a really good advent calendar. I mean, you get a literal electric hair tool that comes inside!!?? Also there’s no stickers, buttons, or paper Christmas ornaments inside. Honestly much better than most advent calendars
They have the ipsy calendars available on the boxy shop ...The only reason I know is cause boxy keeps spamming me with emails about it tryna get me to sign back up

Ipsy lucked out following the annual Sephora shitshow in this year's countdown. It was comparatively such a step up...... Then I remembered they claim this is meant to be $475.64 (!!!!!!!!!??!) Worth of products. SURE JAN 👍

I stopped getting ipsy bags when I kept getting samples on paper, you know the kind where the sample is so small it’s a smudge of something on paper with a foil covering? Yeah that, like not even enough eye cream for both eyes. Lol
Am I the only one that would love to see an office clean up video? I know it's not the normal style but I think it'd be fun, and if it's a video maybe it will be harder to procrastinate. Personally I love cleaning and organizing videos, the bigger the mess the more fun and satisfying.

Get the pimple patches with micro needles in them!! They’re made for under the skin face goblins. There are also post pimple creams so you’ll be good to go before your wedding! Hope it’s the best day ever 😍😍

You can use lipsticks that are too saturated by dabbing it on your lips and then covering with lip balm to sheer it out 😊
Also it’s easy to sanitize lipstick so you could still give it away 😄
Totally agree! I blot my lip colour. Does no-one remember blotting? 😂 I often put a thick even coat of lip product on, leave it for a little while (a lot of them will stain the lips slightly, or maybe the colour just has a chance to sink into the top layer of skin) and then I gently blot until there is very little residue. My lips look defined and pretty, but like I don't have lipstick on.
Feeling bad for Alexandria because I know for a fact that brush is going to be in her boxycharm this month 😂😂

For lip products that are too pigmented, I take a clear chapstick and use it as a base under the pigmented product. This helps to sheer things out and prevents my lips from drying out (which some formulas of lipstick tend to do for me) 😊❤️

I love that tatcha cream... Sephora gave me that same size cream and a small rice face cleanser for free for my birthday so that's crappy it's an item in the calendar...come on ipsy smh 😂

Honestly tho, as a gift (which is what I was raised as advent calendars being-something someone gives you, not that you get yourself), I would be really happy to receive this. …which is not something I ever really associate with Ipsy, so I think that’s pretty good.
Sometimes I wonder about ipsy and the age of their products. I received that purple Jolii lipstick back in March 2019! And the number of items in the flash sales for sale still that I've received way back in 2015 even that I see pop up is crazy. You can't tell me they restock the same items that haven't sold out in years.....😟
I have never bought an advent calendar that wasnt of the chocolate variety intended for small children......but I love watching you open them and I would watch a thousand hours of unboxing for that adorable little scene at the end with your puppers opening their advent calendars too.

Girl as a local Kentuckian (Louisville) my skin has been getting really dry lately too!! But I did just purchase the Tatcha moisturizer and it has honestly helped my skin be hydrated. I will say it feels a little wet / “dewy” on your skin and sometimes leaves a film even if I only use a small amount. Which i guess that’s what the dewy in the name references but it’s not a feeling I like it seems 😂
Gosh the candle and 'punk rock' pallete and at the end killed me. 💀 Punk rock should include black/dark colors and crazy colors.

For the lipstick that's too pigmented - apply clear lip gloss then dab it on over top. Rub your lips together to blend. Apply lipstick to desired pigment. Also works with colored glosses. Works like a charm.

I loooove the Tatcha Dewy cream it's so nice. I haven't had it in so long cuz I just cant afford it, but holy cow I do love that moisturizer so much. You only need the tiniest amount, and it's just so creamy and makes your skin so soft and Dewy. If I could afford it, it would definitely be my favorite moisturizer
