Hey, could you check out NEWM or Audius?? Web 3 music. I am personally more interested in NEWM but Audius supposedly just signed deals with ALL of the major P.R.O.s Preforming Rights Organizations.
They all suck ... a racket for micro pennies. Two of my records were pulled from Spotify through cdbaby. Because they claim fraudulent spins. I hired someone promo to promote my music. I got 400K streams . Cdbaby paid me $40 bucks. Luckily I still like playing live and writing. The streaming is a waste of money. You will never make enough to fill your gas tank for your next gig. Keep fun strumming and quick picking. Alot more fun.
Bottom line Spotify don’t want to pay independent artists from the overall streaming pool. If they changed to user centric system all this bs would stop
I’m getting offered a publishing deal but they’re saying something about a project tracker? Is that a thing? And does it have to come out of my pocket? Appreciate anyone with input on this
So.... Be my manager.. get me a deal for a million. That's pretty cheap if you ask me. See what I know is your chosen it has nothing to do with talent.. I want to learn the business. Make it a 2 year deal... Then I can get paid to be quiet and by some land.. okay.. I know I will have a billion in ten years.... I can take the loss, the change of environment.. You can be my manager or something
