The Ferret Pro 3D Scanner that you can use on your phone, is on sale right now for $350 would highly recommend it, 3D scanning my 914 for a new body printed with 3D printer.

That's super dope. I've been considering trying to do a kinect scan myself, so it's nice to see it works well for something larger (where it completely falls short of the competition on smaller pieces). One suggestion for the future is to get rid of the wheel for the export. It's got insanely complex geometry and you could probably have a lot more detail in the fender without running into your filesize limit.

Finally! as a e36 owner, finally someone develop on the platform and use 3d print. Would love to 3d scan the car and do a simulation to improve the LTW wing

Can you please let us know how to do the Xbox scanner set up, software etc??? I could benefit from that set up. And are you willing to rent out your official scanner in the future.

Hi Sandeep, sorry for taking so long to reply. So the Xbox scanner uses the Scanect software, and we are looking into offering scanning and bodykit design as a service to offer.

Are you going to bodyfill the 3D pieces or use them as moulds for some fibreglass 👀

We will use the 3d print as test pieces and then make a mold to make the fibreglass part😁

My fear is that youre going to cut up the rear fenders of this clean car to make that overfender work and the over fender is going to look too ricey on the car. I hope this is not the case

We knew from the start that we would have to cut into this beauty 😬 luckily with 3d printing, we can change the over fenders until we are happy with them before making any cuts😁

any chance I can toss you a few bucks for the 3d model? I'm also doing an E36 sedan and having an existing design to modify might make it worth taking a stab at...Otherwise i don't think I'm talented enough to get something that fits.

We are in the process of cleaning it all up and making final adjustments now, in preparation of making more kits. We will get in touch if and when we are able to do that👍👍

We’re you able to make the surface profile in line with the scanned surface?? Or did you have to manually make the profile alignments with the scanned file

We only scanned sections, so didn’t stitch it all together. The scan was pretty good and useable for what we needed. We manually aligned it in our cad software

If you are looking for a cheap option the creality k1 is a great option, if you want to spend a bit more the bambulab p1p is also great.
