Love seeing a female officer channel! Just subscribed!! Definitely gonna binge watch your channel...I start the academy in a couple weeks and will need all the help I can get 😂
Well Firstly disinfect your shoes with Antibacterial wipes and let them dry, next step is to use a shoe polish brush, easy to polish or simply use the shoe shinning sponge.👍
Did you just bring them in the house for the video? I dated a cop years ago and she kept a plastic bin in her trunk where she would dump her boots at the end of her shift. She never wore them into her or my house. "You do NOT want to know about what I step in and step on all day", exact quote from her lol.
Oh my gosh Stef!!! You're doing amazing!! So proud of you!! I love watching your videos they are so informative and I WILL be going to Trader Joe's, I love love love pumpkin everything!!! 😊 and that beer!! Might give that a try too!! 🥰🥰
Hey i just graduated and i been wanting to be a police officer sense i was little. now im in college to receive my bachelors in criminal justice. What else can i do at this age to start my police career or get some type of experience from .I need tips and advice from everyone!!!!
So many different ways to shine, once upon a time I served in the military, and one of those duty stations was Honor Guard in northern VA/D.C. We would get the wax warm and apply with wet cotton balls, but in the end it’s all about building up those layers. Be safe out there!
Not a police officer but I have a pair of black boots that I wear to work and I applied the polish with a shoe brush instead of a cloth or t-shirt. Then I just let them dry and used the other side of the brush with a little water to finish them off. Not sure if that is proper but I think they look pretty nice!
What brand are these boots? I need a pair of boots similar to these (they have to be vulcanized and steel toe) for work and im having a hard time finding them for women 😞
I just started Police Academy and I was having a hard time with shining my boots. This method did the trick so well that I am over the moon. Thank you for all you do Stefanie! Keep up the great videos and thank you for all you do!
Hello Stefanie! I am an aspiring police officer! I am currently in college getting my criminal justice degree. It's finals week, and I chose for my final essay to be on discrimination of women in law enforcement. I was wondering if I could do an email interview, or possibly even a zoom call with you to discuss discrimination, and some other things I can get into detail about if your interested.
Stefanie Rose it really means a lot to me because when I grow up I want to be an police officer and I tried to find some vids and shining your boots. Thanks you for everything you do on UA-cam and thanks you for severing the community.
I have the Men's Valsetz RTS 1.5 with Zipper Military and Tactical under armour they are very comfortable they are like boots and sneakers combined go to amazon they have for women's too.
The idea of shiny shoes as part of a uniform standard to maintain discipline is slowly going the way of the dinosaur. Shiny shoes don't make a good cop. In the old days, they used to actually issue better footwear. Police academy shoes came with a full Goodyear welt. Back then, there was a reason to use shoe polish. It conditioned and maintained the leather uppers. That was important. After graduating the academy, and hoping to pass probation, you needed to save your first few paychecks. Most guys, and girls, resoled that first pair of boots, in order to save money. With the glued on soles of those boots, you will throw them away once the soles wear down. But here's the good news. Once you get a few coats of shoe polish on those, you can use "mop & glo" for uniform inspections. Try it. Clean your shoes with "mop & glo". It's a floor cleaner with wax. It will take off your dust, dirt, and mud, and leave a shiny wax coating.
@@Stefanieerose I found this store near me names Code-7 they did a phenomenal job when it came to shining my gear. I always passed my uniform inspection. 😉
Yes. Typically when you get hired with a department they give you a list of things that you need to get. Usually that is paid with your uniform allowance.
Glock and Smith & Wesson (M&P models) dominate the LE market. She is almost certainly carrying one of those. Much of it comes down to personal preference unless you have one of those dysfunctional agencies that issues or mandates a particular make and model. I've shot both; my service weapons have been mostly Glocks (personal G17; issued G21 - boringly reliable). I qualified to carry a 1911 (heavily customized, of course; hated the 3rd gneration S&W we were issued back then; also carried an H&K USP) and did cross train with and carry a revolver. (Yes, I'm old. Thanks for noticing.) My ACADEMY was before Stefanie was born; I did it with a G17. Part of what matters is also what accessories you want to use. A weaponlight is almost mandatory (300U or X being the standard setting model as far as I have seen); red dot sights are really a big help with both speed and placement. Glock 22/23 models (.40 caliber) tend to need a lot of work to be reliable if one has a light on it; the 9mm or .45 are all around better. Every Smith I have seen works great with a light. If I were to go back to some kind of uniformed function, I'm almost certain my main sidearm would be a Smith M&P with a light and RDS. I suppose I should go look for her vest/belt setup vids and see if I can figure it out from the hoilster.
I was terrible at shining my boots in the Navy. We had 4 recruits who excelled at it and the rest of the unit paid them to shine their boots. Guess that will not work whenever I get to the academy lol jk I did shine my own but was still terrible at it
Hi.... Can you make a video how you protect yourself against covid 19. Mouth/facemask etc. Cleaning shoes wash clothes etc. Keeping the social distance when stopping a car Etc. Thx
I have been using Kiwi purple parade gloss and Kiwi Black polish and spit instead of water lol. I also was given a nice tip to use tape so you can get a nice straight line on the top closest to the lases. On average I'm finding it takes me like a hour and a half to shine one new boot. The boots I just got for my academy are Tact Squad brand. They seem pretty comfy so far. So hopefully they stay like that throughout the whole academy. And I loved the little guest appearances from they doggy's. 😊🐾
Lol about 12 13 years ago when my spouse whose military had to shine there boots everyday, showed me how to do it. And man did I do a spitting good job jk I didn’t use my spit. Was so shiny he got counseled one time and after I started doing it they told him good job lol. And I don’t even think he gave me credit. Lol
Stefanie Rose dame technic you used only just used the lighter and water more with a brush. I dint know if they had a shine sponge like what you used at the end. But I had to do the whole boot lol
I remember I was assaulted in my neighborhood a few weeks ago and a female officer showed up. She was very respectful and nice. Unfortunately they didn't find the person who assaulted me.
Ok umm. Do you have inspection like once a month or what. Ha ha you have tiny 🦶🏻. That last sentence may have been a little weird. Stay safe Officer Stef👮🏻
