    Well Michael you are nothing short of a genius ! I'm from the UK and I'm in the Police Service over here and been wanting to shine my boots to impress my sergeant and inspector on my first day in Feb. I've been trying to shine my Force issued steel toe caps and it just wouldn't work ! Until I found your video ! Thank you very much Michael !
    Chris.

    Thank you so much Micheal! I have never shined boots before and you made my very first time a success! Yes! I have under armor boots and they look so sweet with my uniform... Oh, and thanks for that hot towel trick. I've been wearing my boots for about 3 weeks now and they look better than when I first got them.

    Ps You should wear latex gloves when polishing-protects your hands from polish :-) . Love when a cops boots are shined really well. I do see some officers here in Montreal whose boots probably have never been shined since they got them.

    Strip the boots with Dawn soap. Let dry. Dye the leather to restore the color. Apply leather cream to moisturize. Then apply THIN coats of wax and a tiny drop of water with panty hose.

    You’re not making any sense but I appreciate you showing us. I need clarification you said you go back and do the other boot the same way and you said 7 coats for a decent shine….does that mean you are heating it up 7 times with the drier or once with the drier? Then 6 more layers with just polish and no heat? My boots are old danner fort Lewis and I’m having a bitch of a time shining them they are not shining up at all so frustrating. I’m using kiwi parade gloss and I’ve tried the lighter method. The girlfriends hair drier method. I’m doing something wrong.

    What I like to do with new boots, is wear them for a tour or two to break them in, and get the creases in the leather, before spit shining them. That way, the polish does not crack or flake off in those areas. Nice video.

  • @harry9392
    @harry9392 6 років тому

    If you spit on the polish and continue to do circles the boots would gleem but thats the ROYAL IRISH way with out bees wax if my sargent major seen me do that to boots i wouldn't have any arms as he would have beat me with the soggy end if you had kept on doing it with circles it would mirror sine in 15 minutes i had both boots layared and beeswaxed in 1 hour and i was top boot buller i used do do my COs boots if any recruit spent more that an hour on his boots he wold get extra duties
    Check out grenadier guards boot buling it will cut your time in half . your way the first time you stand at ease the polish will fall off your boots just trying to help i seved 27 years british army anti terrorist Royal Irish

    Applies heat to animal skin - expects no problems - do the same to your skin, and you'll feel (and probably see) the effect.
