The immortal who jumped out the window so far is the best character, he’s captured the experience of seeing the MCU wither away right before our very eyes.
And another example in Games of Thrones where Tomen just let himself fall from the window. Every franchise should have a similar moment to at least make me laugh as they die in front of my eyes.
He was the most relatable character in this episode.
@@XodusFTW I'm sorry but I have to disagree with that one, he is far from relateable in this show for he is nothing like what he is in the comics; they degraded him so just to push "men suck, women slay" propaganda; it's just sickening to watch for in the comics he was a funny, loveable but tragic character who despite the losses he suffered and his brief attempts at suicide was still trying to do good and use his abilities to be a hero that's why he gets a bunch of other unconventional misfit super power beings together creating the Great Lakes Avengers!💯😁😉👍
@@vmaninc.761 Yeah they messed up Mr Immortal a lot compared to the comics. I just hope that the next time he shows up it will be for the Great Lake Avengers/Initiative/Champions, and not for a waste of a show like this. Also the guy you were replying to said Mr Immortal was relatable because the guy also wanted to jump out of a window after watching this episode.

I honestly think the writers intended for us to laugh at how ridiculous the guy was, but we actually laughed at it because of how much we relate to his reaction to their nonsense.
I also realized, the one case that would have helped She-Hulk in (this case) wasn’t won by She-Hulk.
The question is, why is anyone still watching? They said this was not for you, so give them what they want and tune out. Oh, they're mad that nobody is watching? They are calling the fans a bunch of manbaby losers? Sure, that will get them to tune in.
What they are really angry about is that women don't care about this crap and aren't watching it. They are busy telling fans about what women find funny. Ok, then why aren't women watching it? Why are women tuning in to the Kardashians and not bothering with your show? And...why exactly is that men's fault?

This means they are aware the show is bad and that makes the show so much worse because that ALSO means that they really really don't care which makes me sad because She-Hulk done right is a fantastic character it just hurts to see her treated with such disrespect
I realized why this show really gets under my skin, and it's a reason I haven't heard anyone else talk about so here goes: It glorifies hustle culture like none other.
Jen's CAREER is extremely important to her. In fact, she rarely talks about anything other than her CAREER. I'm fine with not having a family, I have a CAREER. I don't have time for dates that last longer than the time it takes to order fries, I have a CAREER. I don't like going to weddings because they interfere with my CAREER. I get upset when people don't acknowledge how awesome my CAREER is. Yes, Jen would have you believe that she is a real bigwig at the cracker factory. But when she's shown actually doing work, she's either lazy or inept.
When they've shown her in the office, she's generally doing one of the following: complaining about the people she works with, insulting the firm's clients, playing around on Tinder, or twerking. It's even worse when she has to go to court. The Madisynn episode showed us that a high school junior who took a business law class last semester has a better understanding of how contracts work than Jen does. The next episode after that, someone has to explain trademark applications to her. How did she ever pass the bar?
Jen really reminds me of Patrick Bateman in American Psycho, in the sense that the movie goes out of its way to show how he spends more time talking about how important he is and how he has no free time than time spent doing anything of actual value. The difference is, Bateman is supposed to be an ass. But the She-Hulk writers seem to genuinely think she is some kind of aspirational figure.
Jen also only had a single case while working on her new job, which is the Abom case. Everything was handheld by her associates.
@@Rijotan Plus the Wong case, where Jen revealed that she thinks you sign a cease and desist letter, that a contract without consideration on all parties is legally valid, and that forcing someone to sign a contract under the threat of physical violence won't get the contract voided and probably won't result in serious consequences.
When people have no life or personality, their career becomes their life and personality. That's why critique is an affront to the wine mom's who wrote this show: you're not attacking She-Hulk, you're attacking their way of life.

Actually it doesn't work like that with a false identity. Legally you marry the person, not the name, so even if the name was false it would still be a valid legal marriage unless the name change covered up something else that might have invalidated the marriage. The actual question would be whether or not he is legally considered as having died when he kills himself and comes back.
If he is not considered to have truly "died" then he would still be legally married to his first wife, which would render all of the following marriages null and void as you can't be married to more than one person at a time. If his "deaths" ended the marriage, then he was legally married to all of them when he was with them. But, as you pointed out, they would have gotten his finances and inheritance when he "died" in that case.
So either they already got everything, or only the first wife would be entitled to anything.
Also wouldn't Mr. Immortal be able to sue the law firm for you know not representing their client, or at the very least sue his two lawyers for acting against his interests?

I don't think we really know if he legally changed his name after each time he "died" but presumably if he has a job he'd had to have right?
It would have been interesting and made Mr. Immortal an a$$hole if while he was married he incurred enormous debts that his wife co signed for, than launder the money so he could get it after his ‘death’ leaving his wife with all the debts and nothing else.

She Hulk introduced the Intelligencia. A group that consisted of the most intelligent supervillains in the Marvel universe. With such members as Leader, MODOK, Red Ghost, Mad Thinker, and Dr. Doom. In the show they introduce them as She Hulk hating trolls . No doubt an allegory for the show’s critics. 😞

As you were explaining the fight, I thought that Titania was just going after Jen for the purpose of getting her to transform and wreck stuff to ruin her friendships. Basically reputation destruction - which is how most females bully others. But, nope. Would have explained her reason for taking on She Hulk knowing she was going to get crushed. But, nope. It’s like a grade-school written play.
Less than grade school since Jennifer should be on hook for like $50k in damages of what she carelessly wrecked the patio of the wedding hall. Plus she (again) made a stir at wedding. But the bride gets plastered so it's all okay.....

Mr. Immortal is a Z list joke character but he still deserved WAY better. He's actually pretty tragic hero in that he's immoral but all his loved ones die around him and was destined to outlive everyone. Ironically, he found about his powers after his wife ends her own life and he tries to join her but leads to a morbid montage similar to Wade over Vanessa in Deadpool 2.
In the comics Mr. Immortal is a loving and caring guy in a immortal life long relationship. They totally nerfed his character
He's also the only being to make it to the end of universe 7 apart from the Hulk possessed by the one below all if the Hulk wasn't there at that time me immortal would've become the new Galactus when universe 8 gets created

I’m calling it now, the writers are gonna set She-Hulk up with Daredevil. He’s the only male character that the writers will not be allowed to shit on (at least directly), and he’s a lawyer, just like Jen. Knowing how shallow the writers are, they’ll totally put those two together

I'm 95% confident every writing session for this show was them talking off topic for at least half if of, saying okay let's get some if this done, tossed out some joke ideas and thought it'd be hilarious to use them, and then ended with hi fives and some red wine.

Exactly, Jessica Jones was the perfect example of how to make an unlikable character be likable, she's hard but has her reasons to be that, she cares alot even when she pushes people away and won't stop at nothing to get justice even when she could easily just kill

You know I could understand the writers not knowing lawyer stuff because they aren’t lawyers and are too lazy to do even one second of research.
But them not knowing that people send out wedding invitations months ahead of the date tells me that none of these writers have ever gotten married or even been invited to a wedding. Which makes sense if their writing is an indication of how obnoxious they are in person.

Unfortunately, there were women on twitter who said they related to this episode because apparently last minute wedding invites or planning has happened to them when they got roped into bridesmaids. And that the crap Jen deals with as a bridesmaid is also stuff that happened to them, and therefore, the episode was cathartic and funny for them. All I HAVE learned, is that as a woman, I am glad I do not have these asshole types of bitchy female friends that apparent is demonstrated in this episode. Its ironic though, for a show about female empowerment slash feminism, they sure do show alot of shitty women, like that Bridezilla, or the other bridesmaids. Side note, as a gamer, I wanted to choke myself when they said "Mario Kart is a sport now, like on ESPN." Jesus these morons cannot even get a e sports joke right, so why would the legal laws be correct ?
Well let me explain how Disney films anything these days.
They do the same scene 5 different ways, allow improv randomly and then the editor is handed 4 hours of footage and told to make a story out of it.
I think the bride was trying to give jen a hard time in purpose but the writers never bothered to explicitly show that to us
That character was all over the place, at first she's mad that she comes as She-Hulk because she's stealing her attention. Then later that same day she fawns over She-Hulk appearing at her wedding despite Jen just got into a fight with Titania causing a scene and trashing the place.

So. The reason the girl was happy She Hulk transformed is because of a technique called scrapbooking. Midnights Edge covered this I believe but basically they have a central story line but filmed multiple different versions for multiple outcomes and basically what they are doing is picking all the "funniest" scenes and just throw it in the show. That's why alot of these new marvel shows just don't make sense or don't feel like a quality product.
If what we saw was the "funniest" version, then the stuff they left out must have been a freaking horror show.

One other thing...Nikki can't give legal advice or represent clients, and Book intentionally doing a bad job of representing her client because she doesn't like him would get her sued, suspended, and probably disbarred.
Possibly disbarred, according to Devin at legal eagle state bar's really don't like sanction attorneys, litigious bunch, unless there's ample evidence of gross incompetence. Even then they'll slaps on the wrist at most unless they continue to do it then yes disbarrment would be likely.
I predict Daredevil will appear in the last episode in the last five minutes as Matt Murdock going to Jen’s office and asking about a case and then leaving after smiling and winking at the camera.
I predict he won't even be in the show and they only put him in trailers so people will watch and expect him and when really they tricked us into watching, which wouldn't surprise me

So yes, this show is basically therapy for the writers, and this episode is the most transparent example yet. My feeling is that they've attended weddings or high school reunions (let's face it, this episode would hardly be any different) where they have 'felt' patronized for not taking a date or disapproved of for trying to drag focus.
So this show is not for men _or_ married people now. That list seems t be getting shorter.
As for Titania, yes, she's an obvious 'mean girl' insert for every popular chick who ignored the writers in high school (guy bullies need to wedgie nerds or stuff them in lockers but apparently, all mean girls need to do to bully other girls is not even know they exist) and is there solely to be humiliated on the writer's behalf. Either that or there'll be a shocking twist, Titania will be revealed as a high school wallflower out for payback and Jen will realize that 'GASP! I was actually the mean girl humiliating her all along.' As remedial a plot turn as that would be, I still don't give the writers credit for even that level of sophistication given their work so far has proven terrible to the point of juvenile.
I'm positive that Jessica Gao has been to at least a few weddings where she got absolutely sloshed, made a complete ass of herself and pissed off everyone else in attendance. This episode was her attempt at telling herself it was ok to do this because people were so impressed that a Hollywood writer graced them with her presence.
Y'know, you say the writers were the ones being bullied, but I have to wonder if they were the ones doing the bullying. I mean, look at how unlikable the ""good"" characters are. And remember how she fought to have that bathroom scene in the first episode and what she _thinks_ it represents?
@@TaoScribble I didn't really mean the writers were actually bullied, I just meant they _imagined_ they were bulled solely by dint of not being popular or y'know... likeable in any way. I think they probably rewrote their high school stories in their heads over the years into crappy teen dramas with stereotypical jock and cheerleader villains but if they actually met up with them as adults, those people would be scratching their heads like _"Did_ we go to school together?"
In the weddings I've been to, there's a very clear atmosphere (particularly if you're in the bridal party) of wanting to set up people with each other because of the mood of the whole thing. I attended one earlier this year where the bride wanted to set me up with one of the bridesmaids, who was seemingly into it -- only I found out after the fact that she had a boyfriend, but not the man she brought to the bridal reception on the following night, who was her brother. Made for an awkward situation.
Point is, there's a lot of gold you can mine from weddings story-wise. Hell, just having a wedding planner running around trying to put out the fires Jen and/or Lulu caused could be funny if done right.
And they even set up the whole "Bridezilla" angle with Lulu (why did half the event staff quit en masse? Why is she conscripting random guests to do menial tasks?), only to drop it completely and excuse the whole thing by implying she was getting drunk and was just playing with Jen. (Where was the groom in all this?)
An episode about a wedding with no groom in sight. Makes sense. Smdh.

And after all that build up, we didn't even see the wedding. If Titania really wanted to mess with Jen, during the ceremony would have been the time to do it.

@@thoriasunlimited4053 Given Titania is weak as hell in an actual fight, it'd make more sense if she just used her position as a famous influencer to attack Jenn instead by getting under her skin. Maybe post up some viral video making fun of Jenn's fashion so everyone is laughing at her which causes her go hulk out, smash up the wedding and later realize she needs to learn to control her anger better after her friends are all mad at her and the city calls her a menace. But that'd involve actual character development so I guess the writers couldn't allow that.
The best thing about Daredevil making a cameo is that he's blind. He won't have to suffer through the episode like the audience.
he has super hearing though, listening to the harpies in this show would make him pierce his ear drums with his own cane.
I knew the writers hated men, but the treatment of every women in this episode, from the bride to ex wifes, and Titania proves they hate women possibly even more.
Mr immortal is the only genuely thing that made me laugh at this show

As someone who has always loved seeing physically strong women (it's why I loved the She-hulk comics to start with) I was looking forward to actually seeing her use her hulk strength in each episode. Like pick up cars or jump the length of four city blocks. You know, hulk stuff. But since this show started I can count on my hand how many times she actually uses super strength. The first episode. maybe the one where she helps Wong fight some demons and this episode where she stomps the ground to knock Titania back a bit.... and that's it I think. What the hell show?
This show is about clothes, hair, makeup, gossip and cat fights.

Rogue is way more enjoyable as a powerful woman and even she has limits and has lost many fights. She's believable.
These actors should be for ed to watch their show on a loop for the rest of their lives.

@@ThatGuy-jj3kz Albert Wesker from resident evil on Netflix is an example of a character doing great acting with a bad script. This is just a mess all around. The delivery is half the losing battle with them. Unless the director is the one making them act as if this show is for dumb kids.
At least Lupita had the backbone to NOPE right out of Woman King after she did her research. I guess the actors are getting paid too much money to walk away from She-Hulk. They probably don't care anything at all about the actual character's lore. they probably read the script and thought, I could do this in my sleep and get paid millions - lets go!
The only funny thing that made me smile once was when she is interviewed in the news and the anchor says: "when we come back She hulk will tell us about her diet and exercise" then you hear her say:"wait what?". That is the kind of humor they should have aimed at.
Ah for the days when Titania was She-Hulk's Main rival and was a serious threat, almost killing her in Secret Wars.
Lawyers, by default, are obligated to act in best interests of their client, within the law. Regardless of their own preferences. Any lawyer that does anything differently will most likely not just be disbarred, but can be sued.
But we have already established how She-Hulk clearly knowns nothing about law, so spitting on other parts of jurisprudence is par for the course.
My wife and I had a ring bear (yes, references) that was a custom teddy bear, dressed like the tenth doctor with the rings attached to its arm and a family members toddler walked up to us carrying, to present the rings.
Most people attending wouldn't have even understood the references, but everybody thought it was cute, none the less.

I wouldn't be shocked if they have Daredevil appear in the final scene of the last episode. I said when the trailer dropped they'll save Daredevil for the last episode. But it just occurred to me they're so petty and trash at their jobs. They would totally do that. Just to say 🖕🖕 to fans.

My theory is that in the last episode, Daredevil will show up to drop to his knees and beg Jen to join the Avengers because she's just so awesome. But at the same time, Jen will have been offered a partner position at her firm because she's just so awesome. No points for guessing which offer she accepts.
I just saw a bunch of clips from the old animated Hulk/She-Hulk animated series and I really can't believe how drastically they changed such a likeable, sassy, awesome WOMAN into such a whiny, pathetic, angry twat.
I don't think the writers understand how their main characters come across. When she comes to the wedding as she-hulk and her friend asks her not to take attention from her wedding day I think the writers want us to....feel bad for Jen ? but Jen just comes off as selfish and narcissistic. When Titania told her that not everything is about her.....I agreed! . Again the writers want us to feel bad for Jen because Titania is apparently stalking her , but again....all I see is Jen making everything all about her. When the writers reveal Jen was right and Titania was in fact targeting her again it doesn't make Jen likeable because she was right, it takes me out of the story because the villain's ''plan'' makes no sense. Who goes to a friend's wedding to.....bully their arch ennemy who also happens to be the brides maid?? Why the wedding ? and more importantly why as a viewer should I care about this?. The plot is so forced and non credible it take me out of the story and makes me annoyed at the writers. Then finally the nail in the coffin the bride comes in after the fight , sees that Jen broke her promise and made it all about her AGAiN and.......is glad?? You covered so much more in your review Thorias but my point is that I wonder if the writers just don't care about the quality of the show, or if they are genuinely unaware that the characters they prop up end up looking really....REALLY bad. It's uncanny and it's been happenning since episode 1 lol : Everytime....every-time they try to prop up Jen or another main character it backfires and makes them look awful instead. Are they doing this on purpose ?

What I understand least about this show is why every character seems to be behave as if they're in middle school. If you had made a bingo card for this series, you'd have gotten a bingo every week.

I don't think Titania's actress cares how badly they depict her character. The one interview I've seen of her was about how she enthusiastically wanted to have Titania get "c*** punched" during her first fight.

You can tell Jessica Gao had input on this episode. From going to a wedding of someone she probably didn't like but had nothing to do that day, to showing up and wanting to be sexy and the center of attention, to being basically a grunt doing stuff for an unappreciative bride, and lastly, the fight between She-Hulk and Titania, being a fantasy for what she wanted to do to the bride afterwards.

I suspect the reason Titania is being denigrated this way is that she is a stand in for popular girls the writers hated for getting the attention they felt they deserved too, but never got and now their self-insert Jen gets to beat up the stand in for the girls they hated.
Wandavision made me lose brain cells at the end.
Falcon and Winter Soldier made my hatred for politics increase even further.
Loki made me lose all respect for a once awesome character.
Hawkeye made me realize that some characters should stay untouched if their story arc is complete.
Moon Knight made me realize that Disney can't even get Marvel characters they haven't touched yet right.
Ms. Marvel made my brain cells explode even more than Wandavision's ending.
She Hulk made me want to commit the big die with a spoon.
At this point, I am done with the MCU and their shows.

Obviously they have their own backstories and we have the shapeshifter Elf from Asgard but now all of these people are popping out of nowhere. A brief “Ever since Hulk brought back people that disappeared some people have gained super abilities” would make some sense.

They thought they could just have the bride come in drunk and not hold Jenn responsible, since she never gets held responsible for anything. I'm pretty sure that's the only reason they call the show a comedy, so they can always use that excuse when things suddenly do a 180 and there's no good explanation.
So I realize that the writers saying that they didn't know how to make a compelling court show was really them saying "We know literally nothing about law and we aren't going to bother doing the slightest bit of research".
Makes you wonder why they were hired to do the show then, or at least not replaced, or had consultants. My opinion this show, from the very diverse lot of people critiquing the show based on writing and not ideology, it seems to me that Disney is attempting to make sure the She-Hulk never hits the theatres as part of any team.

Titania is basically a super powered version of Paris Hilton/Kardashian-Jenner clan and she is just as annoying as both. Plus it is very obvious that the showrunner(Jessica Gao) and her whole writing team(which are all females just remind people) have a serious ax to grind and all of them have a severe case of misandry. Also it is very simple and that is Jessica Gao got hired because she is a zealot activist who checks off all the boxes on the woke chart in Disney.
The writers, ironically, don't understand women. But the people who treat women like shit are usually women, so the disrespect tracks.
The immortal guys's case actually doesn't many any sense, because if he was declared dead(somehow), then his spouse would get all of his stuff, rather than the half or whatever in a divorce settlement. Also the spouses had no lawyer.
The punch for Titania leading to no injury is extremely annoying. They had one job, give her a black eye or something, or have her instinctively switch to she hulk with like a bloody nose or something. SOMETHING. But Jen's human skin is apparently MADE OF STEEL.

I believe that the writers think it is funny that Titania keeps losing to She-Hulk, and also since Titania is "more" attractive than She-Hulk but keeps losing to her makes it a win for her and a confidence booster shoot to the ego.
Imagine going from Orphan black, playing multiple character at the same time, all of them having depth even the villains, all of them being fun to watch and each of them could have spin off, to playing bootleg she Hulk, who is annoying and Boring.

something I noticed this episode is something that looks like a plot happening in the background. the wrecked crew trying to get at Jen's blood, than that date who asks about how indestructible her skin is. than that guy talks to Booke. and in this episode, Booke tells Nikki not to tell Jen. so, as Booke in the comics represents the villains, could she be helping the bad guys? or am I thinking of an actual good story for this show?
It could be an origin story for her and how she came to defend villains by being jealous of Jen and her diversity hiring. I think that's also why she's around Nikki to get info from her on Jen and her whereabouts.
Why is Titania not in prison for the stuff in episode 1? Why is Titania so strong? Why does She-Hulks Dress not rip is it spandex? Why is Jen going to a wedding and is never happy for anyone there does she hate everyone at the wedding?

I see a lot of attempts at irony in this show. Thorias points out how nothing happens until the last part of the episode. A meaningless episode and then, "LOOK OVER HERE!" ... The End.... And getting punched but looking OK, then slipping and breaking a tooth. Or "Don't be here as She-Hulk!" I mean, "Best day ever!" ALL of this sounds like the writers are going for ironic humor..... But that would be giving them too much credit.

This is what happens when comic book adaptations are written by people who have never read a comic book, and want to express their unreasonable societal grievances through a fictional character. I'm not even mad anymore. I've just accepted that this is how female-centric storylines will be written for the foreseeable future.

Imagine the person hiring writers for a new show and coming across a resume that includes "Writer for She-Hulk". That would be like putting "Bank Robber" on your resume to be a bank teller.
