Masterful. Outstanding job.
has to be using some type of magnifying instrument, I've tried free hand I just can't do, eye sight is to poor
wow
This video from 5 years ago is simply the best face painting tutorial I've came across so far. May I ask what brand of brush you were using and do you use any solvent/thinner other than just water?. thanks
Superb! Music is beautiful as well.
Well done my friend. Its really a very nice tutorial. Actually is the best and most detailed video I've ever seen for miniature face painting.
Gracias.
hello what pencils do you use size etc...thanks
Excelente video.
What a nice video it is!!
Could you teach us how to paint highlight & shadow parts of clothes of a 1/35 soldier with acrylic?
A fans in Asia
Wow, very fine work!!! how Long do you need for these face ? best regards!
Where you have written 'insist like at the temples and other places, the word is incorrect, I think intensify is what you are reaching for but to use insist, in this context, makes no sense. Great video btw. I think this model is a bit too small for me to paint as I need all my time to see the whole model, let alone the face. You did a great job and I will adapt for my 1:6 figures. Thanks
What are you using to hold the head?
Wire. 1.0mm or 1.2mm wire. Use a micro drill to do a tiny hole, and then insert the wire. You can buy the wire in the hardware store and order the micro drill on internet. They usually come in boxes with drills from 0.3-0.4 to 1.6-2.0mm. (Nielsen microbox drill set).
Now that is a master class. Not sure how much can apply to 28-32mm figures but the tip about using glazes; thank you.
Listing the paints used, and where, that’s deeply appreciated.
Well done tutorial, covers a lot of steps, would like to have seen the hands and or what the figure looks like finished. My observation of acrylic painted faces is where is the sheen of the skin ? I am sticking to my oils but will use acrylics as basecoat. Cheers
"He's an ugly guy, and we could watch him getting uglier by the minute, lol." The painter did a phantastic job! He has demonstrated the best face painting technique I've seen so far, achieving a great result without labouring himself to death. Kudos!
can i use this method for 28mm figures or do i have motif the colors at all also will it work with a white primer?
GRACIAS
Como lo hace y con imprimación negra,....
Claro lo de la explicación del ojo
un saludo
Absolutely phenomenal tutorial.
To anyone complaining about the shadows etc being 'too much'... At this scale they have to be.
Enjoyed the tutorial. Nice work.
Genial! Gracias.
would I have to modify this for a white or light gray primer and if so how ?
Muchas gracias a todos por vuestros comentarios. Thanks
Thanks a lot, such a great video tutorial :D !
very very beautiful job on the face! !!
Simply Amazing, and very helpful of course:)
Por fin un excelente tutorial!! Sumamente agradecido!!
Buen video amigo
wow, that is a nice tutorial!
Gran tutorial. Muchas gracias.
superb
NICE
mindblowing.
Bast of bast !
It makes sense when explained, bu the final effect is very unnatural. Just place it next to any photo of the real man to see how unnatural it is. Too much shadows, contrast and intensive colours. Looks like some heavy make-up, not natural male face.
Detailed video, and a good result - unfortunately, not very realistic, which I assume is always the goal: the face is painted with shadows going so far up the cheeks that it gives the impression the face is v-shaped (when it's closer to u-shaped). These shadows only occur when you have very strong light from above in an otherwise dark environment. And those shadows are black, not reddish brown...
I do understand however I'm in a minority in not liking this way of painting faces. That's life.
