I saw my little sister in those little girls. I grew up very poor. I am in the USA, but as a child have been evicted from section 8 apartments where rent was only 100 dollars because my mother couldn't make bills, food and rent. I moved 13 times before high-school because of this situation. My siblings and I were in and out of foster homes because of her financial situation and also in and out of battered women shelters ( basically a homeless shelter for single moms who have been victims of abuse with nowhere to go). Many Christmases were made possible by Catholic Charities and the Salvation Army. I am extremely fortunate to have worked my way out of that situation and am able to give my children a nice stable home with food in the fridge and pantry, new clothes and anything they need. I try to fulfill their wants as best as I can without spoiling them to a point that makes them not realize that it feels good to earn things in life. With all of this said, having lived my first 18 years on this planet like many of the people you see in these videos, I can tell you that there are not many men like BI out there. I try my best to help when I can, but my goal is to get to a point where I can do what BI does and more.

For anyone wondering what the boy in the green jacket said near to the end, he said, "let's go home." It's the pure joy in his voice knowing he can sleep peacefully that makes it so meaningful. Who knows how much longer they would've been out there.
These are kids with the type of attitude, humility, and focus that will be able to properly make use of opportunity and a helping hand. They're selling their own teddy bears for the sake of making the rent! They're resourceful, savvy, and grateful. It was amazing to see their worry melt away for the time being. I was also pleased to see how the little girl immediately wanted to get BI's contact info. She KNOWS this is only temporary reprieve, welcome and generous as it may be. With the right opportunity, these kids will fair well.

Think abt it this way, if there werent any poor people why would we need to help one another. With them it gives us the oppurtunity to proove that we r all humans and shld care for each other. I come from a not so rich family myself there are 7 of us 5 kids and my parents and bcuz we r plenty it is hard to have everything we want but glory be to God my dad started his own business. It hasnt kicked off yet but it is getting better and i have faith in God that when it is our time to be delivered we will be delivered and even have enough to help others. The point of tht story is that sometimes God will put us in a bad situation to prepare our hearts to be kind enough for when we r in good situations to help others.

But Americans have so much anxiety about communism and socialism, that they don't want to see that inhumane capitalism is as bad as communism and that a good mixture a middle way is a golden way that actually works.
