You need to mix it with a mixer and dough hooks- add cooking sherry and also white pepper and a little bit of baking soda .... massage the chicken a lot. Also should marinate over night. That’s what we did at work
I just did this with the baking soda cooking sherry white pepper and the dough hook. It turned out amazing the dough hook you have to run it for a little while but it breaks the chicken down and pulls it apart so it’s easy to rip apart with your metal spatula on the grill.
Love it but they forgot the most important part that we love about Sarku Japan Teriyaki Chicken in the mall and that is the Teriyaki sauce, its not just the marinade they add the amazing Teriyaki sauce at the end on the griddle and I always had them add extra sauce on the top of mine at the end too.
Thanks guys. This was exactly what I needed. $10 for a plate of "Mall" food. I got 10lbs of dark meat for $12, 25lb bag of rice for $20, add some steamed broccoli and cabbage. Roughly $1 per meat serving. Times are tough.
My family f’n loves mall Chinese so much we just drive to the food court and get it to go!! Sarku japan is fire!!! Love the video great editing come a long way nice work.
I was absually looking for a video I saw a few years ago and I came to this one, I think in that one the chef added garlic to the recipe. This one looks amazing I´ll try it. Thank you.
Morning Scotty! I guess I kind of agree with this. Jeff is in fact our go to guy when we need tough work done. We don't tell him that though, we don't want it going to his head lol! -N
I can't bring myself to pour remaining marinade with raw chicken juice on to partially cooked chicken. Maybe save a half cup of marinade from the beginning before the raw chicken goes in, and use that to pour over it toward the end.
You guys Rock! I got out of work didn’t know what to cook. I jumped on your channel and found this recipe. it came out absolutely delicious!!!!! My family eat twice. Thanks so much. Keep up the good work. !!
Congrads on your decision! The possibilities are endless... Check out some of our early videos, we do cheese sticks and taquitos all the time! They come out awesome! Thanks for tuning in and taking the time to comment~! -n
I cannot believe that I've been watching you guys for this long and I wasn't even subscribed??!!? I am having a hard time believing that....weird...well old new subscriber here!!
Hey guys I’m going through the videos and I found this one and omg I’m making this yummy yummy 🤤 O Nate that shirt LUCKY 57 we’re you born in 1957 I was 1-10-57 what a great year lol ok love you guys Take Care..✌️☮️👍🇺🇸
That's what we kept tellin Jeff! We had the crazy hard job of supervising! He had it easy! LOL. Thanks for watching P-Finder and enjoy your weekend man! Happy Friday!!!!! -n
I haven't been to the mall in years but it use to have a Panda Express in it. I'm sure your version is better. People need a class on the difference between a good char and burnt.
Hi Luis, Thanks for watching! Any chance you have the recipe you guys use and want to post it here ? 😀 It would be interesting to compare the differences! Griddle on friend! -N
Great recipe Jeff. I love how you guys always use thighs. I'm gonna do this and maybe stir fry some veggies with it. I've been buying my garlic and ginger in these tooth paste like squeeze tubes, they are fantastic and easy. Keep up the great work 👍👍
Very much appreciated, ty. Nate has the " official " background. From catering to being part of a family restaurant , Chris I are more certified in " fun" backgrounds . I would like to think without my mumbling / repeating myself and Chris's mastery of words that we dubbed "chris'isms" the channel would not be nearly as much fun . Chris and Nate are neighbors in south east NH , I however could not afford there neighborhood so I'm a few miles away across the border in Ma😁. We are always thinking of doing an event, just never commit. That may change and we will definitely post if it does. Thanks again
My wife has challenged me! She said no way can it be as good as the Mall Chicken. The gauntlet has been thrown down, on my way to the Asian store. I'll let you know how it turns out!
Thays awesome Bootleg and ty for sharing. Best I can remember from those samples ( its been a while) , this recipe and end result is really close. Thanks again-J
here is how i do it. i go order a chicken teriyaki from sarku then I requested for triple or quadruple meat portions. Then I would split all the meat into several meal portions. I just cook the rice and steam some veggie then add a portion of chicken meat to it. This way I know I am getting the authentic taste.. Save alot of money. The amount of meat im getting would last 5 extra meals.
Sorry to hear that ken. You definitely can, it will just be a bit on the dryer side but being a bit healthier will make up for it. Good luck and let us know how it comes out
When using breast, a meat thermometer is your best friend. Keep checking it and pull it off as soon as it passes 165. Good luck and thank you for watching! -n
Unfortunately at the time when Nate bought me my griddle they did not have covers so I had to make it. If you get a chance to visit our channel I posted a short video on it. It's been a couple years now. Good news is that there are a few griddles out there now with covers included. -J
If you think that's burnt , you should check out our kielbasa video! The sugar definitely gets dark but there is a lot of flavor and texture that comes from that. Ty for the comment and definitely do not check out our grilled cheese ( those were actually burnt, not in a good way😔) - J
That is absolutely NOT chicken teriyaki from the mall , I just bought 3 orders and they fry the chicken in a way darker very thin sauce and continuous flipping and mixing so it doesn't burn to dark then they pick it up with 2 spatula's and put it on top of the rice and veggies then add extra sauce , it's not the marinating sauce , it's a in house teriyaki sauce and he would not tell me what it is , I'm pissed. Lol
You need to mix it with a mixer and dough hooks- add cooking sherry and also white pepper and a little bit of baking soda .... massage the chicken a lot. Also should marinate over night. That’s what we did at work
I will make sure Jeff sees this, A flippin dough hook? Genius! -N

I'm sure you guys do it very different at work. Care to make a video?
Do you mind sending me the recipe and instructions
You worked at sarku japan?!?!?!?! Send me the ingredients PLEASE

Hey thanks for the recipe!!I was searching from a long time.
The New England accent is real! Look delicious!
I love the mall chicken. This recipe will help out a whole lot. Thanks for sharing it with us Blackstone grilles.
Thanks Eric! Keep cooking bud! -n
Eric Seagroves that’s why I’m here lol
Boujiee Kaylonnii hope to see you around. 👍
My family f’n loves mall Chinese so much we just drive to the food court and get it to go!! Sarku japan is fire!!! Love the video great editing come a long way nice work.
Chinese...Japanese...whatever.
first sign of pandemic was mall closed due to HUNGRY ZOMBIES for chinese food XDD!!!
How are you going to call it Chinese when Japan is literally in the name of the restaurant?
“Mall Chinese”
Cooking this tonight on the barbecue flat grill! Thanks for sharing! We are adding the shredded veggies to it!
I was absually looking for a video I saw a few years ago and I came to this one, I think in that one the chef added garlic to the recipe. This one looks amazing I´ll try it. Thank you.
Ty Koky. I love this recipe. Hopefully you will as well. Let us know. Thanks again-J

It is going on a 300+ degree piece of steel. Anything with campylobacter bacteria would be dead in less than 2 minutes or so.
Clearly you don’t know about how cooking temps work
@@courtneypalmer9299 clearly you don't know how to type a logical sentence

I just got a Blackstone combo and I’ve made 4 different dishes on it, thanks for your tips and the comedy!
Awesome choice. We would love to hear how you like it. Ty for watching and commenting.

Oh and bye the way it looks delicious. I’ll definitely be giving it a try!
Gonna have to try this thanks! There's one in Monroeville Mall in Pittsburgh, PA and it's the best ever. I want to go back just to try it.
I'm going to try and duplicate this recipe today. Wish me luck. I dont have a griddle so I'll have to use my extra large cast iron skillet.
How did it go?
when y'all don't post for a few days or so.. i gotta go back and watch some old videos!! looked delish!
Don't go to far back and always remember, we are NOT professionals. 😁
I need to try! This looks amazing ❤️
You should Janilyn! Very tasty and so easy! Thanks for watching and commenting!- C
They never hand out free chicken samples in the malls up here in Vancouver/Victoria. We're missing out lol

Thanks so much Kerry! Our sub count matters alot to the YT algorithm so yes! Thank you for subscribing!! 😀 Happy New Year!! -N
Where's the peas & carrots, broccoli and cabbage? Queens Center mall makes it that.
Watching this while eating some.
Looked good guys. Malls are a little short here in Idaho, so I'm not going to get any free samples. I'll have to try it...
SARKU, thanks for sharing Griddle Guys!
Cheers Rahul. 🍻
Look how quick and easy the mall chicken and rice turned out. Got them 2 slackers on video lol.
Definitely ‘mall chicken’... dope

Love this recipe!!! I add some grilled pineapple. Stuff is like crack
Can I have 2 plate with extra sauce please..;)
Good recipe guys . Thank you

Good deal. 👍. I noticed with the pastes, they seem to be milder. Usually I have to double the amounts. It's just so convincing
Come to Iowa City, see a Hawkeye Football game, drive a few minutes to Coralville Mall and get yourself some Sarku Chicken.
Sounds like a great time!
Go HAWKS!

This stuff is really amazing for bulking up and gaining muscle id order 32 grams of straight chicken
It's also full of sugar lol
Sarku Japan is one of the name, one of the best.
Good stuff. Ty Preston
@@TheGriddleGuys Np, after learning the recipe, I haven't been 2 Sarku since.
My wife has challenged me! She said no way can it be as good as the Mall Chicken. The gauntlet has been thrown down, on my way to the Asian store. I'll let you know how it turns out!
IF she doesn't like it,,,, just blame Jeff! That is what Chris and I do :D -N
Well, she loved it! Thanks for all the content. You guys are a blast to watch!
Looks good
South portland maibe we have a sarku
Appreciate the hard work Jeff! Haha!
This couldnt be any further away from Sarku's recipe.
Can I get a free sample guys??
Epic Skillet... share a link for that
It's a Blackstone griddle
Sarku Japan was the shit I used to beg my grandma to take me to the mall just to eat their teriyaki chickens samples
Thays awesome Bootleg and ty for sharing. Best I can remember from those samples ( its been a while) , this recipe and end result is really close. Thanks again-J
Holy crap they’re red

With vegetables and triple sauce please.
We second that recommendation! Stir fried veggies are the bomb! Thanks for watching Pschroeter! -N
I can't find the recipe 🤷♂️
Is it 3 1/2 tbsp of soy sauce, im not sure since it isn't given a measurement but let me know if you can thank you
Sorry about that but yes, 3 1/2 tbsp and of soy then 1 1/2tsp dark soy. Ty
Can I do the same thing if I don't have a griddle? Just electric stove and a non stick frying pan?
I'm sure that will work just fine. Advantage of the griddle is it keeps most of the mess outside. Good luck and let us know how it came out.
Mall chicken
Cheers-J 🍻
Is it really Sahku or are these guys just from Boston?
Sarku
Looks delicious! I'm swearing off of making fun of Jeff in the comments as long as there's no Land Rover hat.
Lol, literally .. Ty , and for the record, making fun is all we try and do. Good times , good laughs and good food. Thanks again-Jeff
Recent widower, not handy in kitchen. Can i substitute chicken breasts instead of thighs?
Sorry to hear that ken. You definitely can, it will just be a bit on the dryer side but being a bit healthier will make up for it. Good luck and let us know how it comes out

Sakura Japan
Should It be the exact brand of the ingredients you have there?
Best thing about the way we cook, anything goes 😁. Definitely not a problem to mix it up a bit
@@TheGriddleGuys I made it yesterday 🙌🏽 you sir got the best recipe 😋
Does anybody know a coupon I can use that's still valid?

It says 3 and a half of soy sauce . Tap or tbsp ?
3 1/2 Tablespoons. Good catch Mr Saldivar. I know there is a decent amount of ingredients on this one but it really does come out good. Ty-J
What does 3 1/2 soy sauce mean? Cups tbsp? What?
Sorry about that, 3 1/2 tablespoons. You can adjust to taste but that's a good start.
Your griddle is looking rough brotha
New Griddle since this video. Cheers! - C
Did you clean the chicken?
I typically rinse in cold water Pat dry with paper towels then trim out the vein in the center of the backside. You don't have to but I just prefer.
I see a titos bottle ya fackin drunkers
what's mirin
Can you marinate over night?
I would think yes, but just like if you did a straight up teriyaki it starts to get pretty strong.
Mall chicken 🐔 🤣🤣🤣🤣
it's not sah-kee, it's sah-keh
Nice and burnt

Burnt
I doubt Sarku have soy sauce in their marinate..their chicken look fresh and no color.
It has low sodium soy sauce.
We are sorry David but thank you for commenting tho. Always appreciated. Cheers-J
Never reuse marinade!! 🤢🤢
Agreed Jacob. Nate gave me a ton of s@#$ for that too. In my defense tho, it was still delicious 😁
Not even close
Sorry Mc S. Ty for watching tho
Over cooker bos kuhhh
Doesn't look anything like the chicken at Sarku.
