I realised if you are planning to use Catalyst Browse, make sure your shutter speed is above 1/200 or else seems to have alot of artifacts in the stabilized video. I tried 1/200 and still looks weird but 1/320 seems to be better. Btw, nice video Koji. 😊
hi Jason, thanks. Good Info ! You are right. I tried at 1/50, motion artifacts looks horrible. So now I was using only 1/125+. Will try out 1/200 & 1/320 !
@@mac24x7 yes shutter speed above 1/125, it is fine for catalyst browse. For ZV-E10, you have to turn off standard steady shot to use it, bcs when u shot with oss, it doesn’t record gyro data for zve10
Hello koji! Thanks fot the video! If I shoot a video vertically and then use catalyst browse, does the cropping that is done to the video affect the quality of a video that needs to be shared on social networks like Instagram (9:16)? What if I record horizontally for UA-cam? Thank you!
Would an oss lens be worth getting for this camera? I'm thinking of ghetting the 35mm 1.8 oss lens from sony if the oss makes a big improvement when paired with this camera. If not, I would rather get the 20mm 2.8 for its compact size and wider FOV.
For catalyst browse, need to bump shutter speed a litlle bit higher. On my personal experience, 1/250 is minimum to get a better result. Its Not working great if you working indoor that too much light flickering (even set to PAL in Malaysia). So far, gimball work best and for handheld, static shot/small panning is okay
The gimbal stabilization is better than the two in my opinion. The Catalyst Browse is fine too but requires a lot of time post processing. I see some professionals using gimbals on their Sony A7iv even though it has IBIS.
I too liked the gimbal more. Handheld with catalyst browse is challenging to stabilsie for roll axis. My friend own the A7iv, he always kept it on gimbal. When he doesn't have the gimbal, he only shoot static shot like panning around.
*I don't mind Active Stab as I have long Arms an the Kit lens is fine but I also have an 11mm Sony f1.8 Ultra Wide lens so that should work fine on this*
I think I'm just gonna go with a gimbal. For a camera that is marketed as a vlogging camera, I was pretty upset to see what my vlogging footage looked like. Catalyst browse is amazing, buy only being able to stabilize one video at a time takes forever :(
Hello, we don’t need to enable electronic stabilization to use gimble. It is still smooth, we can enable e-stabilization too on gimble if wanted. I am using crane m3 gimble
@@gardasudarmanto i feel you. I just purchased a sony a7 IV and it was the full frame i could afford haha. In the end, cant go wrong with any sony cameras. They are great, just gota find the best one that suits your needs and budget for sure. Always look for deals too, defiently dont pay full price. I paid 2100 for my a7 IV. It goes for 2700
I like the fact that you show solution to the problem the camera has. ❤
Thanks for the video, very well made. I like your editing style!
The comparison I need, very useful video. Thank you! Please create more amazing video
Thanks! Will do ! 😁😁😁

would you record with standard steadshot or without? 1/200-400 should fine right?

Thx, have tried it with my a6700 and it recorded gyro data with off/standard and active. Could be different to your camera@@kojivisuals
@@mac24x7 no problem, thanks for sharing this info 👍 For the A7C too, it record gyro data with standard steady shot on/off.

Have you tried gimbal + catalyst combo? or just use warp stab + gimbal for better workflow?

Vlogging with active stab is real a challenge for me, short hand, I needed a extendable small tripod. While, the 11mm is really a fun lens on ZV-E10.

Great informations
When you used catalyst browse is the stabilization on camera on standard or off?
Hi, I turn off the camera stab when I use catalyst browse
@@kojivisuals Gimme another gimbal that works with ZVE10 and has best 4.7., 4.8 ratings
wasn't it just 4k 30 fps and 1080 120 fps?? and not to mention 1 more weakness, the touch screen only for focus, not to use setting etc:))
yeap u are right 📸 it is not a perfect camera
Its a vlogging camera not intended for super high quality footage or advanced shooting.
But it's perfect camera for my budget, i've been thingking about buying this or a second-hand a6400 with some portrait lens:))

Nice video
Thanks !
I rather use gimbal, editing already time consuming... 😅
Absolutely, given the chance gimbal is always a good friend
i find that active stab. along with gimbal
Yes sir. It works really well
Gimble is destroying the Catalyst Browse Or Active Mode, in terms of picture quality
