In addition to that he’s seen wielding all kinds of non-finesse weapons like spears, longswords, dual clubs...etc. he’d have to be a monk to be able to wield those weapons using Dex and not strength. A Monk’s evasion ability would also fit with all the dodging he does
PLEASE make a video for dmc 5 Nero, I would love to see it done. I have some of my own ideas for it but I need a professional opinion on how to make it all work
Very nice! I used this as a guideline for building a Belmont. One change I made is going Battle Master instead of Monster Hunter (because I can't find that anywhere on D&D Beyond), grabbing Brace and Quick Toss. Brace lets you make some good use of the reach of a whip, spending a Superiority Die to attack an enemy that moves within your reach. Quick Toss lets you throw a Thrown Weapon as a bonus action. Since the Belmonts ranged attacks in the games seem limited to thrown weapons (daggers and axes, notably), using those for ranged damage feels right to me. And with Kensei, they can be magical (I had the idea of using Warlock and Pact of the Blade to conjure infinite magical throwing weapons, but that takes an action, darnit).
@@Michelleobrama Life domain is a subclass of Cleric. Zoidberg is technically a doctor. Triton is an aquatic race, and although they normally look semi human and Zoidberg clearly looks more crustacean-y, Zoidberg has show has got all sorts of weird aquatic features, such a squirting ink and going through a budding phase in his early childhood.
My first thought when I saw this thumbnail was... Monk Kensei 3 / Rogue Assassin (or Swashbuckler if dumping INT or STR instead of CHA) 3 / Fighter Brute (or Battlemaster or Champion) 3 / Revised Ranger Monster Slayer X (11 if max to 20th level)
As of Tasha's cauldron of everything you no longer need kensei to make the whipe a monk weapon. An optional monk feat now lets you turn any weapon you are proficient with into a monk weapon.
I really liked the build! Boy I was not expecting Trevor with monk levels, my request would be a build that is the Hunter Gunlance, from Monster Hunter ! Thanks for the video!
I kept ignoring it, but this is like the 6th video of yours where you describe action surge as "...letting you take a second action once per long rest" (2:28) and it's just... a LOT better than that. Action surge refreshes on short rests, just like Second Wind.
Honestly the "normal human in a world of gods trying their best" trope needs more love. The most famous one I think is Rock Lee from Naruto and he was the catalyst for one of the best fights in all of anime, so we know it works. I don't know why writers want to choose the Hercules or the Narutos over your Rock Lees or Trevor Belmonts- it gets boring, when Ichigo from Bleach pulled out his second power-up from his ass, everyone just looked misty-eyed and bored, but when Might Guy chose to kill himself just for a chance to keep fighting and protect his friends, I felt that. We're humans, and we like underdogs. Not Naruto who is an underdog but was actually Ninja Jesus the whole time, but real underdogs that fight even if it kills them.
Don't know if this would be enough for a whole Homebrew, but a class that allows you to make a Belmont would be cool. And you could make options to spec your Belmont based on your preferred Casltevania experience. Such as making a character that solely focuses on Whips and Throwing weapons like a majority of Classicvania Belmonts, or a character who has a wide array of magic attacks, Item Crashes and agility options from the Metroidvania games. Or a Belmont that has some of both like in Rondo of Blood, Adventure 1&2, or Bloodlines.

I have some of my own ideas for it but I need a professional opinion on how to make it all work
I'll look into it, people liked Dante
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 thank you so much, I do think there is enough difference between him and Dante that it would be interesting to see a video on
We have two out of the three vampire hunters.
All that's needed now is Sypha Belnades
Definitely required.
Could you do the Four Cardinal Heros? Especially the Shield Hero?
Is that from Shield Hero?
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 correct!
Since its monster hunters will we be getting Blade or Goblin Slayer???
Not this time. Those are on the list, but we have a topical video next week, and some other requested characters after that.
Edward Elric! Can't freaking wait!
Also love your channel, I'm surprised I just discovered it
Give me a badass Frollo from Hunchback of Notre dame order domain cleric pleaaaaaase (or any class, dazzle me as always)
Frollo is weirdly highly requested... I'll have a different disney villain next week though
Of course you drop this the week after we wrapped up curse of strahd
Hmm, what about a build for Anderson Cooper?
You're relentless and I love it
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 I learned it from watching hours upon hours of Anderson Cooper reporting the news
One of my all time favorite videos of yours. Love the animated series and the character. Riddick should be done on your channel.
Can you make Dr. zoidberg from futurama next please. I'm clueless as to how to do it. Thanks
Life domain triton?
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 I don't know what that means. Sorry
@@josephperez2004 ah right thanks. Still kinda want to see him in a video though
This is what I’ve been waiting for
and I was thinking Ranger with eather Monster Slayer or Hunter archetype.
You'll get one for Halloween!
I love this build and am so excited we got this a day early 😁
FINALLY! A BELMONT! I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO!!
Ooh great video of my favorite Belmont. I'd love to see your take on Scott Sterling as a DnD character
This is the one I've been waiting for.
You have to respect a guy who walks into a fight with a Vampire and holds his own.
Of note, Defensive Duelist does not require a free hand, so you COULD keep a dagger in that hand to toss at distant baddies.
Finally. I'll make this for Baulder's gate desent into Avertis
I kept ignoring it, but this is like the 6th video of yours where you describe action surge as "...letting you take a second action once per long rest" (2:28) and it's just... a LOT better than that. Action surge refreshes on short rests, just like Second Wind.
Ive been looking to make a monster hunter like this, having the belmont build could be a hell of a lotta fun!
I really like this build.
Same. I like the "normal person trying hard" builds.
Tulok the Barbrarian they’re refreshing, a nice change of pace. Given all the super-powered otherworldly creatures around. Looking at you Alucard...
