I may have learned it from you, but Ive listed 179 items in about 2 months and have never done a listing from scratch. Using a sell similar from a sold listing is what I try to do every time, but not always possible. Thank you so much for the lessons you teach! You're amazing and such an inspiration! 🤗😘🥰

Hi Kat, I finally listed my first items on ebay yesterday. Thank you for all of your videos with helpful tips. After listing a few items I woke up the next morning to check on my listings. I had two offers for the same item. It just didn't feel right. The offers came in within minutes of one another so I took the one that came in 2 minutes before the other. They were both going to pay the listed price. Anyway when the buyer found out their offer was accepted they wanted me to give them my phone number so they could ask some more questions about the item. I wrote back and said all information would have to go through ebay. I haven't heard back but I'm sure it was a scam situation. I listed another item and within an hour I had someone try and get me to take a check and bypass ebay. I told them to please select an ebay choice to pay as I could not process any checks. I'm learning fast. Your videos have helped prepare me for these people. Thank you!

That is definitely a scam. Those people prey on new sellers. They search out sellers with very low feedback. There's never a reason for someone to send you an offer for your listed price when all they have to do is buy it. And never fall for someone messaging you to change the ship to address of an item after they've paid for it. That is a scam, as well. Only ship to the address eBay has on file for that buyer at the time of purchase. If they need to change the address, cancel the order at the buyer's request and let them repurchase it after they change their address on eBay.
Yes I agree definitely a scam if they offer asking price or higher just decline so now wait 4 days if they don't pay cancel and re list this will happen until you get 20 feedback or so. I recommend buying cheap items to build your feedback up

We are using ai for descriptions now and smart sizer to do automatic measurements but we did fine without both lol

I have so many things I need to list and I’ve had so much anxiety over trying to figure out if I need to always put full descriptions and a lot of information and measurements and all of that, and you really clarified and made simple the listing process and it makes so much sense what you were saying, You have been so successful with your business selling and listing the way that you have, and that’s proof enough right there that what you’re saying is correct and good enough for me!,it’s helped me tremendously and giving me the encouragement that I need to get all of my items listed and up for sale without putting a tremendous amount of time into each and every item, and I know now to put enough information in to be able to sell the item and give the buyer what they need but not put too much information in that I’m wasting a lot of time and not getting a lot of listings up for sale, so thank you again so much I never miss your videos and you give so much of your time and effort to helping us all out and putting out so many tremendously helpful videos I can’t thank you enough for all that you do and I wish you the very very best In your business and much success, just so you know there’s a lot of us out there that really deeply appreciate everything that you do, Sometimes people don’t always realize the amount of time and sacrifice it takes to make all of the videos that you do and you do all of the research that you do and then put it out there for all of us to be able to watch and learn from, so again thank you so much for all of your time and effort to help us all out👍🤗p.s. Great tips. Measurements are time consuming for vintage clothes. Most of the time even when measurements are listed people want more details and measurements in fit. Retrieving clothes from inventory to take more measurements results in about one sale per 10 items pulled to cater to people just interested. When I first started selling vintage clothes I would just put vintage size no measurements and did well. Such a great point to make. I have people asking for measurements on modern size Mens t shirts. I can get soo much more listings done without taking measurements. Time for an experiment. Thank you so much for all you do.
Yeah I get asked for measurements occasionally iff the item is under $25 I normally dont respond :/

I had an unbelievable weekend I went to 4 garage sales and at 2 of them I bought the lladro elephant and baby for $25 I bought the lladro oriental lady for $1 then I went to another garage sale and bought a complete set of Shelley rosebud 1957 tea set with teapot and lunchen plates. for $10 unbelievable, She asked $5 I gave her 10 unbelievable!! And I got there at the end of the sale that's why it was so cheap cheap but I learned about these things from your videos thank you thank you

I’m so glad your little guy is feeling a little better and the fevers have stopped. Thank you I spend sooo much time trying to comp/price items that I hate it. Pricing is hard for me like I’m not trying to charge ridiculous amounts but I’m also not trying to low ball myself.

Kat I loved this video. I do most of the things you mentioned. I don't however pay for services like worthpoint etc. I do all my listings and photos with my phone!

I sell a lot of clothes.
I sit on some things to long because of the research. I can't find it etc.
I only list from my phone ,once again I thought I was cutting corners and others were sitting at there computer getting it done.
I work full time and always keep photos in my phone.I list every day at lunch time.

I sell clothes and shoes occasionally, but prefer to sell vintage clothes so the sizes are sometimes different from now so in that case I will still measure. I was surprised you only get a couple returns because of not measuring. I might just try that with newer style clothing. Also descriptions and research take me along time so will work on that too. I am slow and need to speed up. Great content!!
If it's hundred dollar plus stuff I think is ok but if it's lower dollar just not worth the time
So glad to hear that you don’t add descriptions. I was worried that was hindering my sales. Also, I have kids in sports and I keep photos on my phone so I can list during half time, in between games, waiting for carpool kids to load into my car, and just about any other free minute I can get during those long boring practices. I use all the “down time” to my advantage.

Starting is the hardest part
I watched your video this morning and loved it. I thought I’d try taking photos 10 items today and then edit them and list them while watching TV, but I had to keep getting up to weigh every item. I didn’t take photos of like items, maybe that was the difference. You must just weigh one item and then if the rest are similar, they would have the same weight. I think that’s where I went wrong because it still took me a long time and I only got 3 items listed before I started falling asleep.
Sorry I didn't mention this because I typically don't weigh as I can guesstimate pretty good after years of practice. Take a photo of the item on the scale witha box on top as your last photo so you have it to reference

Oh no. Make sure u don't wait 2 go 2 hospital please. They can give u antiviral meds and a couple breathing treatments and send u home. U will recover much quicker that way. Trust me!

Ask your doctor to order the Monoclonal Antibody Infusion. My doctor ordered it for me and it helps tremendously. They came to my house. Prayers you get well soon.
I do my listing on my desktop, then go to my cellphone to take the pictures and it quickly uploads to my already made listing. Also I look at three items that have already sold, then choose the one that has the most categories already listed. When I sell similar I pay attention to which sold for the most and the used category but I use a category most sales have had. It's easy to make the change once I decide on the best.

I definitely work on similar items together like jewelry, books, glass, etc. Wow on the description or lack of suggestion. It’s so freeing. When I first started eBay descriptions were very important, but nowadays so many things you would write in the description are in the item specifics or photos already. I have shortened to bullet points but would love to be brave enough to do away with completely. 😊

I’ve been selling for about 7 months now. eBay mainly. I got started using my cell phone to list. I always thought I would switch over to my lap top but I cannot get use to it and it takes me 3x as long! I thought I was strange! LOL

I agree I use my title as my description, but I do add a line “ see photos for measurements & condition detail” and measurements in the last couple of pictures. I also like to use templates for all my like items

Wow! Thank you! No more descriptions for me (with a few exceptions). And I’m cutting back on the number of photos. I just started last September, and back then heard over and over take lots of pictures. This will certainly help in a more efficient use of time.

Currently I am using a laundry basket system. I have things I need to photograph in one basket, things I need to list in another, and things I have listed and need to put away in bins after listing in another. My items move through the baskets as they go through the process. I doubt it is the most efficient method, but I often have to start and stop what I am doing since I am also a busy wife and mother, so for me it is helpful to know just by what basket something is in, what needs to happen next with that item. : )
That's kind of how I do it after I photograph they go into a cart to be put away and once they're all listed I put them away
Great advice. I seem to spend too long with shipping...weight and box size. So glad sweet Dalton is getting better.
As long as the box is under 12x12x12 dimensions don't matter
@@TheNurseFlipper so do you sell with calculated shipping or flat rate? I use calculated for all and it seems I have to put the box size & weight in there or the shipping cost to buyer isn’t right.

Such a helpful video. I agree with listing on my phone is faster. I do get hung up often. I can’t always decide if something is vintage even if others have it listed that way. I wish there was a date requirement. Lol. Right now I was looking for one of your title tip videos. I have to many words for the title and can’t decide what to cut out.
