As i said at the end of the video, im going back to my earlier approach to making videos for this channel. Recently ive been kind of stressing about "just getting something out" and its resulted in videos that im not exactly the proudest of, i dont dislike any of them but i want everything i post to be the best it can be and when Heavy Burns posts a video, you know its going to be a good one. We're gearing up for an epic 2021 and i cant wait to see what kind of things we can accomplish using everything ive learned over the past year! PS Memberships are now available 🤪
Just be sure not to fall into the youtubers trap the way Warowl or others did, so obsessed with creating a perfect video, that for over a month nothing is released by a full time youtuber. I prefer a good video regularly over a perfect video every 6 month any day of the week. Perfect is the enemy of the good after all.

Dude they're tiny and lifeless. There's like a combined 50 living spaces in all of skyrim. Wtf? Oblivion's cities were amazing, I started another playthrough recently with better cities mod and other mods which add npcs to wander streets and roads... absolutely amazing. Truly feels like a large, bustling city now.
I think I have immersive Citizens (or NPC) mod and whiterun is crawling with people. Along with the Immersive Dawnguard and Dawnguard sentries mods there seems to be alot of people, with alot of faction representation going on. Now I just need to get the better cities to increase size and it'll all feel perfect :)

The Empire that cleary does not care about Skyrim at all. Ulfric is not perfect but he is fighting for Skyrim. He is fighting that Skyrim people rule themselfs and worship Talos without fear of being killed. I support Ulfric because he will makie Skyrim strong again. Im not saying the thalmor are not a threat but i believe that all human kingdoms should be free and rule themself and maybe do something like a alliance where all of them have a say and not just the Cyrodiil. Alliance that if the aldmeri dominion they will unite against them. the Empire should not rule Tamriel. They are corrupt and power hungry.

Redguards without the Empire did survive and are fighting the thalmor. Ulfric is a veteran. He is a great leader and we know that after the civil war he will be preparing for war with the Thalmor. Nords are powerful race. One of the besrt warriors in Skyrim. I doubt that Skyrim will be some super weak kingdom after stormcloaks win. Im sure that Ulfric would want to be in alliance with the empire and help them fight thalmor. The empire would have no other choice but to accept. Now about Thalmor supporting the civil war. Yeah sure they want the civil war but they want Stormcloaks to win. Last thing they would want in is one angry kingdom full of warriors. Also in Skyrim it wasnt just a small army of imperials. Most fighting in the civil war was nords agaisnt nords. Also i blame the Empire for the civil war. Ulfric should be the king after his duel with high king torygg. But the Empire cant let this happen because they need a puppet that they can control. U are saying that the empire should win the civil war because of the Thalmor. but im saying that all human kingdoms united would be stronger than all kingdoms united under the empire. What we can at least agree that stormcloaks and the empire are both flawed. If just the Empire was less arrogant and treat other kingdoms equally with their wont laws and believes. Thalmor would have really a hard fight. btw. I still its wrong to support someone that lets their own people to be tortured and killed. No matter how good reason you have for that if u are letting something like that to be done to your own people you already lost.
No one is making Skyrim content like Heavy Burns. The standard of editing prowess in this video is enough to put you above all the rest. I'm prepared for you to dominate the scene and we will be with you every step of the way.
It's a very well made video, but the actual modding content is barely worth making a video on imo. These are basically the four most popular and easily implemented solitude mods atm. If I'm going to a modding overhaul video, I'm looking for mods I wouldn't think to use already or didn't know I could make compatible with each other.
While it certainly takes a lot of effort and work, i still think Brodual had the best made modding showcases, they got straight to the point and didn't use any graphics mods, they basically didn't sugarcoat their mods at all, i find some of this to be way too much for a showcase and its distracting. Not to mention the cinematics that are made to make the mods look cooler than they actually are, and of course the graphics mods which dont show you how the mod will actually look for you. I dont really fault Heavy for having such an editing style, its clearly something he has honed and wants to make full use of and thats okay, but overall i prefer a simple approach when showcasing something.
@@commando5872 you can see sewer covers in the city, along with sewer noises. It was likely cut content A lot of mods have added them in. And now even creation club has them in the saints and seducers add on

A great video and this selection of mods really does make Solitude look more like a capital city. Also, just so you know I think the LotD team is handling the patch for Enhanced Solitude now. At least it is listed on the LotD Patches page under mods that don't add displays.

You man are awsome, I've been following you since you had maybe about 500 subs, and I was shocked with the quality, effort and soul you put in your videos. Not only you make me play skyrim again and again, you bounded the very game to my hearth, I just feel like I was born in that world and it helped me overcome my problems and depression, I just love dissapearing from this reality to the world of magic and fantasy. I even got a tattoo of skyrim to remind me of all the beautiful time it gave to me. Thank you a lot for your efforts and keep doing that, you are awsome!

I was legit expecting the blue palace overhaul + dregins blue palace terrace mod. Still a nice addition to my collection! I utterly love city overhaul mods. Hope you keep doing episodes like this for other cities

There’s a patch by a separate mod author called “Enhanced JK’s Skyrim” that fixes several overlapping Solitude textures. LotD is one of the patches included in the base file
Words cannot describe how much I love this video..... The editing is so well done and the music choice, *chef's kiss* it makes it feel so epic, and whereas some modders just show a before and after comparisons, that little glitch effect shows how much the mod effects Solitude. Great job, man!

Another good one I personally use for the docks is the Great City of Solitude mod, it was made by the same dude who overhauled the various smaller towns and villages in his Great Cities series
The way you showcase mods is amazing, very cinematic and an indepth look at the mods you want to show us. It personally really helps me decide what mods I want to try :)

Been away from Skyrim for close to 5 months, I'm finally ready to try to do an actual run-through of LotD - couldn't do it before, got too burned out on testing it for months last year. I have been a fan ever since there was a possibility you suggested, of changing skyrim to something entirely else to overhauling it's basis aspects. Thank you for adding this concept of videos. Therefore, I can only request you to make a list of mods that does not add new followers, but make the existing ones extremely interesting. It's not about the face, I am content with vanilla looks, but their style of movement and combat to the many possibilities of overhaul well be a good one. Cheers and stay safe.

I installed ES and ESD with all of the compatibility patches I needed. Still I have a very strange overlapping buildings and meshes everywhere.

Another good one I personally use for the docks is the Great City of Solitude mod, it was made by the same dude who overhauled the various smaller towns and villages in his Great Cities series
I really like these mod compilations for overhauling cities. You should do an overhaul video for each city! Your modlists have helped me a lot! ❤

Thanks Burnsy for including the new Extravagant Interiors, I just had my eye on it and was wondering how nicely it played with some of the other big Solitude mods. Been away from Skyrim for close to 5 months, I'm finally ready to try to do an actual run-through of LotD - couldn't do it before, got too burned out on testing it for months last year. This was a nice timely list to give me some inspiration.

I have been a fan ever since there was a possibility you suggested, of changing skyrim to something entirely else to overhauling it's basis aspects. Thank you for adding this concept of videos. Therefore, I can only request you to make a list of mods that does not add new followers, but make the existing ones extremely interesting. It's not about the face, I am content with vanilla looks, but their style of movement and combat to the many possibilities of overhaul well be a good one. Cheers and stay safe.

If you keep this up, your channel will certainly grow. I really enjoyed this video. Personally I wont be able to mod skyrim when I purchase it for the 100th time, when I get it on the switch.
