Did 235 Km/h in my M47 E91, it took some time but it built the speed and was feeling really stable at that speed (Tires Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 6 all around, Y 300 Km/h speed indicator). My car has no swirl-flaps from factory, the intake manifold is built like that from the getgo, maybe because it's a really late non-facelift model, september 2007, given the faclift happened from january 2008. Strong engine when mentained properly, oil changes below 10.000km or one year and only use quality oil, never "BMW original" /Castrol. Preventive maintenance >>>> service maintenance. No modifications, EGR active, DPF active, absolutely clean exhaust(it is literally white :)) )
Hi, mine is a e90 163cv m47. How many kms do you have? What oil do you use? 0w30? I use total 0w30 and I have a consumption of 1L every 3000kms. The car has 170.000km and stock turbo (never changed) and I have to decide to sell it or maintain it properly and use it for years.
@@matto5240 Hi! 1L at every 3000 km... It is a bit much. If the mileage of your car is real and it eats that much oil, something is definitely wrong. I have used only Ravenol VMP USVO 5W30 since I bought it 3 years ago. The car hasn't lost almost any oil between my 4 oil changes and the engine is as healthy as ever. Mine has 255000 km and I have driven 40-45000 km out of them. I recommend checking what is wrong with yours and repairing it, it is very very reliable if it is maintained correctly. If the damage is massive and it isn't worth investing, selling might be the right option. I will for sure never sell mine, it has treated me really well and when something goes wrong I will repair it. I repeat, at yours' mileage, the engine shouldn't eat ANY oil.
@@matto5240 there can be many causes for the issue, some minor issues or some big issues. The turbo could be the reason, but to know for sure you have to get it checked by someone with better expertise. If the turbo has gone bad, replacing it or restoring it might save you a lot of money in buying another car and would get you a great ride. I am really pleased with mine, as I told you. Wouldn't trade it for anything, if I will get some other cars, I would still keep this beauty beside them. Conclusion: get it checked, and if it has turbo problems, get them solved. My turbo is also stock and original, but nothing is wrong with it.
@@stefanudrea44 I hope it's the turbo and not the engine. It Is a Msport, quite happy about the comfort on the highway and the engine Is always powerful
Hello, sorry to bother you with some questions: Do you recommend buying this car? Do I have to deal with a lot of chronic breakdowns? And this is stupid because I’m just looking into BMWs. Usually 6-gear cars have a pin to pull when you want to put it into reverse gear in order to avoid complications between R and 1. How does it work in a BMW? (New driver here :))
I have this car can say i dosent break down (depending on the motor) the r gear is on the side of first have to really push it. U wont put r instead of 1 unless u really try to. Hope this helps

This much more fun than driving high-power supercars.
Less than 15l/100km at +200km/h... Impressive!
Did 232km/h a month ago with my 320d M47TU2D20 163hp, could still push for a little more but there was traffic ahead.
Stock dpf/egr or stage1 ?

j'ai déjà pris cette vitesse avec un 308sw hdi 150 mais dans un descente et j'étais pas a fond 😂
Great achievement, considering that most of them bearly produces 150 hp 320 Nm on a dyno.

@@stefanudrea44 The turbo has never been changed. It can be the cause of oil consumption? Yes, real mileage. The car Is is mint apart from this issue.
