  • RAINBOW performing "Burn" live at Sweden Rock Festival, June 8th 2019. Been a fan of Ritchie since I heard "Made in Japan" for the first time. Seen Rainbow, Deep Purple and Blackmore's Night many times! Haven't seen RB in a while ... nevertheless the latest Rainbow lineup did a great job at Sweden Rock! They rocked. Thank You!

To those people that don't like Ritchie and Rainbow anymore! Why do you even care to look and make a bad comment! Ritchie would never play a song like it is on record! He's searching for new ways all the time! The band sounds different, but that's the way they want it ... take it or leave it! Great musicians and Ronnie is amazing! I like the fact that Ritchie is changing all the time ... he's a legend and he deserves more respect instead of all the haters complaining all the time. He did more for rock music than 99% out there.

This actually the speed that is on the original recording. Just wish he did the exact solo. That's the thing with live Ritchie... You never know what you gonna get. However, they sound great.. glad Ritchie is still playing.

If Ritchie is enjoying playing hard rock again at this age, then God bless him. For those who don't approve, don't pay to see them, don't bother watching on UA-cam.

Odd seeing all the haters here, what exactly is it you're expecting, first off the individual band members are highly talented musicians who are playing very well. Ritchie is 74, it's not 1974 anymore, its not the same. Enjoy it or ignore it!

Mick Box of Uriah Heep is about the same age, and he still plays like he used to back in the 70ies. But the difference between Uriah Heep and this incarnation of Rainbow is experience.
Uriah Heep is a heavy touring band and even in his mid 70ies, Mick Box is doing a maximum of five shows a week when he's touring with Uriah Heep.
Since Blackmore revived his Rainbow project, he only does rehearsals with the band 3 weeks a year.
And he only does 4 or 5 shows a year at best.
The band doesn't even get the chance to warm up to its full potential.
It's easy playing the age card, but i'll bet that the band really can get better, if only Ritchie would spend more time getting them ready.

Probably the best performance of this band so far. The problem is, they still have a long way to go, probably to jump out of their trousers, in order to fill the shoes of any classic Rainbow line-up. Especially Ritchie. The good news for him and his: many a fans just don't care and are ready to pay for this.

to all sad people - go to a psychologist maybe he will help you. remember that the god of the guitar and 100 percent of you will never play 1 solo like him in your life, and once you live to this age (if you live) you will never play like him now so you have nothing to be sad about you sad people . Blackmore got bored with the triviality of electrics and went into more demanding acoustics and for years at blackmore nights he did amazing guitar thanks to these climates incredible Renaissance music and that he returned to rock in old years is not a reason for sadness sad people 😂

I have always loved Ritchie Blackmore. And i do realise that he doesn't have the same flexibility in his fingers at his age. My complains is that Ritchie seems to not take it serious, he forgot parts, he play wrong tones and all together like he hasn't rehearsed the songs properly. For me, that is disrespectful to the audience. And there have been older musician playing perfect at higher age than Ritchie in for example classic music. So no, i don't buy the age thing. You have to compensate age with more practise to keep the skill.
So even if I adore Ritchie for what he have done in his career, this is not serious.
He do better with the acoustic nowadays.

It's a good version. Not the best certainly, but good. Blackmore needs to recover his full power and speed, seems obvious that time passed on him, even with all his magic... Being that said, the band sounds very good, I loved the keyboards and the lead singer is getting better and better.

I really wish Ritchie wouldn't over improvise his licks and riffs to the extend making himself sound very cluttered or not being fluid. However it seems that his age is indeed catching up, even the riff of this song is rather slower than the official album version. Its really HARD to take in that we are slowly but surely losing our Guitar Hero as ageing is inevitable. May God Bless your weary soul Ritchie and many thanks for inspiring me to pick up the guitar. Please take care of yourself and be gentle on yourself.

Ritchie is old & slow now... but our expectations are for youthful passion in his playing. So, some of us feel a little disappointed. The man in black is better suited to the electric folk stylings of Blackmore's Night now, rather than heavy rock. Sad reality. We wear out. We die.

@@luispanero203 I have seen Blackmore in DP and Rainbow both with Dio and Bonnett and I can confirm he should retire or learn how to play his songs again! What is important is NOT who wrote and play them but THE MUSIC itself!!! Major respect for Blackmore but I prefer BY FAR a tribute band that play music like it is in the records than this shit! Blackmore is ridiculizing himself and his masterpieces with these embarassing performances, people who just wanna see the legend and don't care about the music are poor IDIOTS since he should be the first to have RESPECT both for his music and also for the people who attend his concerts!
