This recipe was really helpful. I added finely chopped dill leaves for more flavor. Turned out brilliantly. Your recipe is easy to cook and fuss-free. Thanks :)
This is traditionally made in Konkan area of Maharashtra as well. We make sweet and Namkin version on turmeric leaf and steam it. The sweet version is made during Gauri Ganapati festival and offer to both the dieties. In both versions are made of rice flour. Namkin version is served with pickle. Thank you
Ruchi it was great and turned out awesome as we have it at swati and gypsy corner at dadar we once again appreciate your efforts to share all this great recipe thanks and GBU.
Hi Ruchi! You're my favorite Indian cook on youtube nowadays. You look great, your presentation skill is awesome and camera quality is just excellent. I want to request a tutorial for Patudi (or khandvi) I love khandvi but I think it's very difficult to pull off. You make all the recipes easy so please make this one for me!
Thank you jalebiben :) Glad that you like our channel. We shall surely try and upload a recipe tutorial for khandvi as soon as possible. Till then, keep watching #RajshriFood and keep sharing our recipes.
thanks ruchi your recipes are great and we love it keep doing the great job. panki is great recipe and we had a must at swati by in nz we dont have banana leave so is there any other way we can prepare this thanks. cheers
Rajshri Food thanks for the reply this weekend i will try and give you the response how it works i am sure it will work and we would be able to have one more great food with you blessing thanks once again.
Try green corn shaff, that is the green part that covers the kernels on the cob. I dont know what climate zone in New Zealand you reside but there is a hardy japanes banana called basjoo that can survive in zone USDA 6. I grow some in my garden in Canada.
i am Gujarati but i have never heard of this dish. as far as i know in any dish which requires eno should be added just before ready to cook but you added it an hour before what's the reason?
Your turmeric is so pretty; it makes everything this lovely shade of yellow. Where I live (in Canada) it's difficult to find nice spices. My green cardamom is sometimes brown, black cardamom is practically nonexistent, red chili powder is REALLY CONFUSING (chili powder is a mix of a bunch of stuff that usually is not, in fact, powder made of chilies, paprika is too mild, cayenne is slightly different to red chili powder), and my turmeric turns everything this sickly neon orangey-green. Don't even get me started on Saffron; it's even worse here (in price).
+SethHyattRCM Thanks! Yes you know India is land of spices & hence we are blessed, that the spices are availabe easily here. You can try & buy ( if possible ) Indian brands which are available in Canada. If the paprika is too mild, you can try adding more quantity to make it spicy! :)
Looks soo yummy. Just like I've eaten long time ago at Swati snacks. Thanks for this recipe. Can there be any replacement for the leaf ? Donno where it would be available in Sydney, where I live. Thanks.
Hi ruchi I like your recipe.. It's a very interesting.. My question is it is directly eat with banana leaves or I have to remove banana leave just tell me.
Hey Ruchi, I love your recipes and I'm a big fan of yours :) I've a small question, what do I do if I don't have banana leaf? I live outside India . I'd be glad if you could help me. :)
I can very well understand your videos in english and a big of your channel but my mother asked me to please start the channel in hindi too for her easy understanding.
Yes , banana leaves are not essential ingredient just more traditional way in the Indian cultures to serve food ......... it's has healthy benefits if you always eaten your food off of it though
Why most of the Gujarati recipes are prepared with these eno, soda or baking powder? Please upload few recipes without these, because these are unhealthy. Thank u

As a replacement, instead of banana leaf, you can also make the panki between two greased sheets of butter paper.

Hello nice receipe only small suggestion is a consistency shud be still thinner so as to make really thin pankis.

What is the alternate of the banana leaf
Turmeric leaves
I thought panki were steamed
Can I make this without the banana leaf ??
In a place of rice flour, can we used wheat flour??
No need to add chilli?
Hi ruchi I like your recipe.. It's a very interesting.. My question is it is directly eat with banana leaves or I have to remove banana leave just tell me.
+raeisa limbachiya Thank You So Much! Its eaten after removing banana leaves :)

Hey Ruchi, I love your recipes and I'm a big fan of yours :) I've a small question, what do I do if I don't have banana leaf? I live outside India . I'd be glad if you could help me. :)
You may use butter paper or any baking paper.. however that taste of banana leaf would be missed..
@@Sudhak0103 That's a good idea :)
I can very well understand your videos in english and a big of your channel but my mother asked me to please start the channel in hindi too for her easy understanding.
nice recipe. can we replace banana leaves with something easily available in kitchen
Hey ruchi please make rasiya muthiya.....
from where i can buy banana leaf!?
How many pankis in 1 cup rice flour?
What's the procedure if I don't want to add in eno salt? Thanks
Sowmya harish you can add soda instead.. but eno is better than that.

Yes , banana leaves are not essential ingredient just more traditional way in the Indian cultures to serve food ......... it's has healthy benefits if you always eaten your food off of it though
