I've spent some time to improve the shape of snow cliffs on this map as I felt there were too many of them placed in a 'straight line'. Some other misc changes were done in regards to the amount of your and enemy units and objects on the map itself.

The review of this mission on NORMAL: Wow, what a difficulty spike from the first mission. This one was a pain in the ass, even though the game told me exactly what to do. Capturing the Academy wasn't hard, however, I kept losing my spies becasue I didn't see the kenels from the start, and it kept spawning the dogs. Afterwards, I had to destroy the soviet base, which, I think, would be impossible without Tanya. Using an army of tanks, ifv's is useless. You get eradicated in seconds. Using Tanya is the way, even though she died a few times because of the dogs, before making any significant damage to the enemy base. I considered that a game over. Yes, sneaking from the back is the way to go, but you have no ideea how stressful it was to keep tanya alive. Whenever i'd see a dog, I would clcik on it so many times, ignoring everything else. All i can say is that it was a relief when the soviets sold anything and attacked my base, which I guarded using only infantry, like g.i. The reason for that was in case I would run out of money, I would still have a mobile force to attack the remaining soviets. Anyway, it's pretty simillar to the first mission, this one, but you can't take advantage of the enviroment anymore, your enemy, neither. ATTEMPTS: 6 TIME: 46 mins

Awesome mission! The nostalgia was so touching! Only issue is that Tanya is too imbalance it doesn't require much of the typical strategic effort you must placed to get that satisfying 'mission accomplished'. And is it me or the shp doesn't look like she 'runs' that smoothly. Still that's just a minor issue. Anyhow awaiting the next release of act 2! Mental Omega really shows it's beauty of the graphics, plus the solidness and fun aspect of the gameplay! Good to see a Red Alert 2 mission is revamped into a bigger and better one.
Lightning Cutter such as when a mission let's you to build a base first, but you haven't settle up the defense yet then the enemy just airdrop shit tons of tanks and soldiers and destroy your base and kill all units like it was nothing, EVEN ON EASY this shit still happens this is why I hate the most about MO's campaign levels, but the skirmish is fun to play though.
Yeah those missions are difficult. I didn't have the patience to try them without being able to save so I just didn't bother. Thankfully we can these days thanks to a recent update which motivated me to try again but even then yeah the missions can be quite difficult. I didn't really get to use Tanya for the main red base...... Damn buggers took out my airfield denying me access to building a helicopter from the warfactory so I just wound up going for a long winded ground assault which unsurprisingly resulted in heavy casualties over and over till eventually breaking through.
This mission's 1st phase isnt super awful. It'a starting up after the Chapel that is hell. I usually slam down Pillbox walls backed with deployed Guardian GI and I am able to protect the con yard. Tanya cna defend your airfield and chapel till things get better. It also helps to have 4 engineers camped at the bridge so when the huts appear, you can fix things immediately and then put GIa in the tent at the hack center and derricks
Dominik Thattendorfer No, you cannot save the game as this uses Ares DLL, which has broken the save/load systems hence why you have access to all the missions from the get go.
Wow.... and here i am playing the game for the first time in 2 years because i found out about this mod beating mission by mission on normal without too much difficulty (yes i know im not playing on hard and yes i HAVE lost a few times but only a few)
