Gotta love "Walkin' Proud"......know all the words still!
Love this. My dad was the drummer. He sadly passed April of this year. But I still am so happy to know I can come back & listen to this without a cassette player lol
My dad was their roady, drove the bus for them!!! Arranged their dates, probably why you are on this earth!
@@afriend347 awe that is so awesome! :)
My brother passed 6/30. Not Dad, my brother.
He was Paul Bauman. Ask the surviving members about him!
I remember the Quintets drummer was Steve Loars - not you dad my bet
At least some of the members were originally from Mason City, Iowa. They were based in Ames, Iowa.
top tune and a good version, nice find!
nice find, thanks for sharing
Most popular band as evidenced by huge crowds every time they played at University of Northern Iowa in the late 60s.
Grew up with Larry "Pete" Klindt In Mason City Ia
Incidently , this is the flip to " Walking Proud " on UK Mercury.
By the way, you've got the name of the band wrong. They were the Pete Klint Quintet, not Quartet. Klint's real name is Larry Klindt.
Prefer the Small Faces version on their first album.
