These homes were ALWAYS labelled slums so that whole districts could be flattened including little family run shops.This vandalism destroyed close knit communities .Of course they got away with it

It's the amount of snobs and kids who have no respect. I still live in a council house but the once lovely area is now like Bogota. As a young lad, nobody cared if you were skint, if your garden was a bit untidy or whether you were in work or had a car etc. Now it's like our neighbours are strangers, the youngsters never play outside, the teenagers all smoke weed and the elderly are scared. The people my age seem like privileged snobs with there only source of entertainment being fake tan, teeth from Turkey and Facebook gossip.
Is there no archive footage of ships being launched in Wallsend? All you ever see is some titled posh layabout who's never done a day's work smashing a bottle against the hull.
