@@Bangaliyana2024 they are scripted bro... Becuz before coming to the main audition round which we watch on our TV there are many rounds or atleast a round to test whether the participants are capable for stage or not so they either select the best ones or the worst ones for entertainment.

Nothing about these "reality" shows are real. Everything is decided by the Creative teams. Who gets to audition in front of the cameras, who gets selected, who goes further in the competition, & even the winner is selected by them. It's all the creative fuckers pulling the strings.

I also think the same as you , it's like they are trolling them because sometimes their vocals are so good unknowingly and recent years specially when these judges are present Indian Idols feel like scripted and so dramatic . This year is good because all the good judges and serious competition. ❤❤ And another thing is many auditions boys or girls have pure raw vocals and self made without any guidance of course because of money issues.
No, it's not Philippines only things of larynx swich 😅(May be you react them first) there are some professional singers who do this occasionally like Sairam Iyer, Kishore Kumar, Milan Singh etc. Specially please do react Sairam Lyer incredible singer with both voices .❤❤
One good thing about Indian Idol is that the show does not push any particular person to win the show. Infact no matter who wins it feels like it was unexpected.

I beg to differ. This is a Contest for singers and not an interview for music school where potential singers could be trained.. The Tv show really don't have time for teaching and training those who may have talent while there may be many good singers waiting in the wings. These singers are not really trained but given tips to improve their singing.
Yes, you are right guys in India it's absolutely that initially who gets most hyped will stay in the show longer, you can see last three years winners of Indian idol.😢 Sad that many more talented people are eliminated earlier.

Oh absolutely, all the duet performers actually were hitting the right notes for the most of their performances, just that they don’t necessarily need to sing in this voice to actually qualify unless it is scripted(most likely), plus I don’t see the funny side of it, just the show producers trying to deliberately make it seem funny.

The 'audition' that you see on the TV are purely designed for TRPs and viewership. The contestants that are actually legit and would go on in the actual show after the auditions who already sing well are preselected way before this round by professional vocalist trainers over smaller niche rounds around the country months before hand and go through many rounds before this televised round. Then this publicly televised round is opened to the public where the preselected candidates are also mixed in. This gives an organic mix or seriousness and comedic relief during the show - afterall, at this stage of the show entertainment is important, and if all contestants perform well and seriously or rigourously, viewership is turned off. Some who might be surprisingly good singers from the random public may be picked too but this happens rarely. Most of the times the preselected ones because they are filtered end up making it through. This also leads to many serious contestants who appear in these rounds in various different shows after being eliminated midway - like if someone who sings well made it to Top 15 in Indian Idol but got eliminated may be preselected for Saregama or the Voice, etc.
