It wasn't until I watched this reaction that I realized the realtor showing around Mike and his ̶s̶t̶e̶p̶d̶a̶u̶g̶h̶t̶e̶r̶ daughter-in-law is the same realtor from the Breaking Bad episode where Marie stole the spoon, but she's lost weight. Well, the actress lost weight, I guess the realtor will gain it.
Same! I had to open another tab as I was watching the reaction like, "what a minute... google search Breaking Bad realtor... I thought so....." lol.
The assistant DA that Mike and Jimmy see is also seen briefly in El Camino handling the Pinkman case.
Beat me to it! Yeah this is one of those blink-and-you'll-miss-it Easter eggs.
*daughter-in-law
Holy shit she looks completely different.
Loved this episode, the whole montage of him trying to get fired.. I've watched it an unhealthy amount of times.
The montages in Better Call Saul are pure eye candy.
I swear that Vince Gilligan has mastered the art of the montage.
Some people say Breaking Bad is better, some people say Better Call Saul is better. I think watching both makes them amazing. They really feed off each other.
If you watch BB first, it’s better. If you watch BCS first, it’s better.
That’s why I kind of consider them as one massive show
@@carsonwentz8301 I watched Breaking Bad first and I think BCS surpasses it in some aspects.
My dad never got into breaking bad so I showed him bcs and now he wants to watch breaking bad. I’m just worried that BCS will make him hate Walt more than most people bc of what happens to mike
@@ThePyroSquirrel1 Let's be honest - by the time Walt does what he does to Mike, he's a stone-cold asshole and MEANT to be hated.
They wouldn’t even be close to competing with each other. They’re each currently focusing on two completely different areas of the law.
This is Brandon we are talking about.
@@DrVVVinK right? xD same guy who thinks Jimmy can just magically hire Kim to a firm which he just got fired from
@@mapolinski I don't think they are brain farts. I think it's just Brandon. He is very childlike, but in a good way. It what makes the viewing of his so enjoyable. He is very innocence.
@@DrVVVinK what are you talking about? He was making smart analysiss while watching breaking bad
I love how BCS is not only about Saul but about an ensemble of great and well-developed characters such as Kim, Nacho and Mike. They are much more than supporting characters.
Easter egg person is late, hope they are ok.
Kim didn't want to be with the guy that ran the gas station. Just like how Jimmy's father ran one. Maybe she secretly likes guys like Jimmy instead of straight forward guys like his father.
that's a great point I hadn't thought about that. Maybe in season 6 she'll really go after 'more' like she says
@@htasul I think she will and maybe she’ll lead Jimmy down some paths that maybe he wouldn’t dare go down
Kim definitely has a thing for rebels, I've noticed that throughout the entire series every single time Jimmy and Kim have any kind of falling out they make up by doing something illegal or morally questionable.
havent seen how the series plays out, that's obviously true. her taking the top of the tequila bottle later on is the visual proof of it. she's never wanted to be "staight" she's always wanted to be slippin kimmy but was just trying to deny it because she felt guilty about it. this video does a really good in-depth analysis of her character: ua-cam.com/video/mHhGjnzAEqE/v-deo.html
@@MattMajcan agreed. she, like jimmy, tryed to do things the right way, but ultimately, decide to do things the "easy" way and the way that is reaches the quickest rewards. It wasn't until season 4 that I started to realize how similar they were. Always stunned by the great casting these series have.
I’m surprised you didn’t include the moment where Kim calls Schweikart “Howard”.
He probably didn't hear it because he was talking
@@Horstimausibaerchen Yeah, that's one of my biggest issues with Brandon (probably the only one). I love his thoughts and reactions, but sometimes he talks waaaay too much over the episode and ends up missing bits and pieces. Doesn't happen that often, but when it does I just cringe a little bit.
Ikr? I was waiting for that scene. I like his reactions (few of the reactors I've watched recognized Krazy 8) but apparently his "scene descriptions" are making him miss interesting lines. By "apparently" I mean maybe it is in the Patreon version. If not then yeah, too bad
Watched it on patreon and can confirm he talked over it sadly. Love Brandon‘s reactions but i hope he stops talking over everything as much.
@@TheGrimHHH yeah, I'd have preferred if he paused when he did that, some reactors do that and I find it much better to catch everything.
The lady that Mike's daughter in-law bought the house from is the same woman that marie stole from in Breaking Bad. I think that cameo went over alot of peoples head but cool nontheless!
This is the episode we clearly see him get into the Saul we all know and love!
I would argue that, that decision comes later, in the episode after the one titled "Lantern"
And also, I think Saul was in jimmy all along
This is the episode where heisenberg finally becomes walter junior
@@jasonvoorhees310 he was that’s why Chuck always sees him as Slipping Jimmy the proto Saul Goodman
@@jasonvoorhees310 The real Saul's were the Jimmie's we met along the way
I absolutely love the editing in the tube man montage. It is timed perfectly to the music, even the waving of the inflatables arms.
This has to be one of my favorite montages of the entire show. Everything works so well, from the suit change, the music, or Jimmy’s pursuit to be fired. Glorious.
3:37 It was stealing because it was used to purchase cigarette cartons. However not all of the missing money was from Jimmy, a lot was from handouts.
Not thinking it was necessarily Jimmy's performance during the "legal adjustment" that ticked off Mike. That question about "Did he threaten you or pay you off?" got to him. Doing jobs for fellow criminals is one thing but being called dirty was a kick in the gut. He knows they're right and it reminds him of his problems w/ his son. Jimmy going on and on about Mike rolling over and "you did the right thing" was making it worse. You could see the redness in his face and the frustration waiting for the elevator just trying to get away from Jimmy. Mike just wanted to brood in peace. Keep up the great reactions! Look forward to watching em every week.
I'm surprised you didn't react to Jimmy's final line to Cliff when he says,
"For what it's worth, I think you're a good guy."
And Cliff responds with, "For what it's worth, I think YOU"RE AN ASSH*OLE."
Like every other great line in this show, Brandon likely was talking over it.
There won't be an issue with Kim & Jimmy competing for clients, they work in different fields. Kim's focus is banking with Mesa Verde as a sole client. =) So they're good!
That’s right. Not really sure how Brandon came to that conclusion.
Lawyers don't merge to compete with each other, the exact opposite. It's somebody else to share expenses with, so you profit more from your individual cases and broaden the scope of cases you can take by each focusing on specific areas. The "and" is so Kim wouldn't be liable for any shenanagins Jimmy gets involved in potentially, which he can't possibly blame her for wanting that as part of any partnership with him.
Yes. Also they are specializing in different types of law... So they wouldn't be competing with each other. Office sharing is very common for solo practitioners.
So close to 100k subs. Will you be doing a Q&A?
the lady at 4:06 is in El Camino, when badger and skinny pete are watching the press conference on tv.
I just found out that MJ McKean - the actor that plays Chuck - was also the lead singer in Spinal Tap. Mind blown!
Also a writer, director, producer, musician (Academy Award nominee for best original song, 2004) and Lenny from Laverne and Shirley (among hundreds of cameos and character roles).
Congrats on your 300th video uploaded Brandon! Thanks for being the entertainment everyday!
The thing is Kim does NOT want to be in business with Jimmy because he's obviously not going to follow the law. So two solo practices is a way they'd be in the same place. Because if they are in the same practice Jimmy's misdeeds will taint Kim professionally as well.
How does it somehow make sense that he could give Kim his old job at Davis and Main? Last time I checked you can't just give a job to someone at a company that you don't even work at. Even while he employed there he didn't have any authority to hire a janitor, let alone another attorney into the firm. And Davis and Main would never even entertain the idea of hiring Kim EVER now, since she is the one that vouched for Jimmy and pushed for them to give him a shot. Her rep is burned with them.
Do you think you are the sherlock Holmes and the writers of this show have room temperature iq?
This intro is important because it explains that money that chuck said Jimmy took wasnt actually all from him, it was from people looking for handouts.
But it also makes sure you understand that it isn't that Jimmy is the innocent party either. He is responsible for taking money from his father, and if you only saw it from that point of view, you'd think like Chuck. It simply gave it the context that Jimmy's father was going to lose money no matter what Jimmy tried to tell him.
They don't be competitors. She doesn't do elder law. He doesn't do banks
Man brought bagpipes to an office. What a legend!
Mans going full George Costanza trying to get fired.
I've been waiting for you to get to this episode! This is my favorite from season two strictly for the "trying to get fire" montage!
Getting close to 100k subs my man. Congrats.
Left alone the way you discuss about Jimmy's and Kim's relationship at the end before the episode conclusion has even started shows what great of a Spin-Off "Better Call Saul" is...
The inflatable is so iconic/totemic. It's mesmerizing and entertaining...but empty. The faster Jimmy/Saul moves, the less he feels.
Small BB Easter egg: the real estate agent in that scene with Mike and Stacy is the same real estate agent that was present during those open houses Marie visited in BB. You know, when Marie was busted during her state of kleptomania.
Oohh we loved this episode! The montage was awesome!
3:18 The moment Jimmy became Slippin' Jimmy
The song that plays behind the trying to get fired is Vitamin C by Can. Their album Ege Bamyası is really worth checking out.
If you didn't know the professional "uniform" for lawyers (and financial types) is dark suit (navy, dark charcoal or black). With rare exceptions it's what lawyers wear to be taken seriously. (Note: some regions you can get away with more business casual looks when you don't have to meet clients) So the bright suits were a clear attempt to not fit in.
dude, i don't understand how you don't understand that jimmy and kim have been a thing from way before this show...
6:59 did you see Dee Reynolds dancing in this scene?
dumb bird
It's the wolf and the sheep analogy. He chooses not to be a sheep by taking the money
Jimmy decides he'd rather the money go to himself than be given away to absolute strangers trying to steal from his father. From a certain take, I can totally understand that reasoning. He does try to convince his father, but I suppose it's an epiphany to him that he cannot and that some people will always be sheep.
He did steal from his dad because he gave the guy cigarettes and his dad never got the money for it
It’s funny how people think of Mike as a good guy when he’s actually a hit man.
People think jesse is a good man when he actually cooks and sells drugs, they think jimmy is a good man when he is a scammer and a corrupt lawyer , hell some people think nacho is a good guy ,
That what happened when you put simple minded in front of TV they believe what the director wants them to believe
I am super exited to get into Brandon getting into Better Call Saul
Love your better call Saul reactions!
The moment when Jimmy decided to be a wolf instead of a sheep
Thats the same house from breaking bad and also that lady the broker was in breaking bad
Omar (Khayyam)'s moving finger writes.... Kim has been promoted from the stairwell to the bathroom. Jimmy goes over the Cliff.
the guys quote of we are wolves or sheep is reminiscent of Napoleons "In this life we are kings or pawns"
Also , the old joke," are you down syndrome or ch!nese?"
I'm excited to see your reaction of the intro of episode 8 :D
one of my favorite tv series montages :D
Gotta give credit to the music supervisors. Dennis Coffey’s ‘Scorpio’ in that sequence where Jimmy does all those shenanigans to get fired. Pure fire!
Hmmmmm... Jimmy isn't giving Kim his spot at Davis and Main. Kim is being recruited by Schweikart & Cokely, totally different firm. He just wants to leave because he doesn't like it there, he doesn't fit in.
The woman outside who was selling/showing the house is the same woman who busted Marie stealing spoons and lying, in Breaking Bad. Just a very different haircut.
What ever happened to Marie and her kleptomania in BB? Why did the creators just seem to have dropped/ignored her neurosis with no conclusion or consequences?
The prequel series is set 6 years before the original series Breaking Bad. the
Better Call Saul's timeline is May 2002 to so far April 2004 I think. Right now your in season 2 which is set in 2002. Breaking bad is set September 2008 to September 2010.
If y'all haven't already, do you have any suggestions for Brandon to help celebrate his upcoming, inevitable 100K subscriber milestone?
Maybe a livestream. Or let him pick one of his favorite movies of all time for a reaction. Or just a movie he’s wanted to see but hasn’t seen before.
Cant wait till you hit season 3
Can’t wait to watch this!❤️
I know it's not the same actor but it seems that Jimmy is the son of Night Owl from Watchmen jajaja
i just realized it is the same real estate lady from breaking bad. the one that busted Mary for stealing
Oh my god it’s Sweet Dee🤯
Why would he think Kim would get that job? She has an offer at a completely different firm
7:14 joker lol
Yo Brandon when can we get a head reveal
I love the college students in the episodes that they are in
Nearly 100k ma dudes
omar is such a bro. bromar
Remember where ''jimmy '' ends up......#BB
14:29 She should have said car wash.
my god... how does Brandon think jobs work. someone quitting a job doesn't mean someone else is going to automatically get it. lmao Kim going to Davis & Main was the funniest random conclusion I have ever seen someone make in this episode.
You should react to sherlock ! With benedict Cumberbatch and Martin freeman is amazing serie ! I love your reactions 😁😆
Please don't ever stop making predictions.
He never hits 😂
@@LanceJ. Because he keeps talking over the show and missing half of it lol
*waiting for Always Sunny references*
Don't think I've seen anyone else think Jimmy was trying to get fired so Kimmy can take that position.
Jimmy's dad deserved to be taken advantage of because he betrayed the USS Voyager. 😁
THANK YOU! All I could think of is "Why do I know that guy?"
Please react to Succession next ! You’ll love it
Wow man you REALLY want Jimmy to be a better person than he is. constantly putting better intentions in him than he has. Jimmy, is way more selfish and self serving than anything. even when he is doing "the right thing" it is usually about how he feels or to "fix" a situation that he broke.
When will season 3 episode 1 come out on patreon?
Saturday
@@romeolivingston84 thanks!
Thus shows the real truth on what really happened to their fathers store. Jimmy tried to warn their father, but he wouldn’t listen. Their father couldn’t accept that people took advantage of his kind nature. Jimmy only took a few bucks here and there, and their father gave their money away to charities and scam artists.
Jimmy learned a hard lesson, that you are either the sheep or the wolf. Jimmy chose to be a Wolf, to hunt other wolves. Notice in season 1 episode 10, Jimmy only scammed people who are just like the guy who scammed their father, or guys who are just looking to get rich quick. It was never anything as bad as Chuck would say like “check your wallets” or “my brother, whatever can be said about him.” Chuck was in college around the time Jimmy was in the store, and only assumed Jimmy was the sole reason their fathers business failed.
“No one cried harder than Jimmy.” Jimmy felt guilt for their fathers death, even though it was a small amount of money, he still felt that he was punished for what he had done. Unfortunately Jimmy crying made Chuck spite him even more, and wants to punish him for the rest of his life, just for existing.
Day 9 of recommending Brandon to watch Bojack Horseman
Anyone else like Walter?
By the way, trivia: the realtor who sells Stacey the new house is also the one who hosts the open house in Breaking Bad 403, in which Marie steals a spoon.

The way I understood Lil Jimmy taking the money is if he hadn't then the takings for the day would have been over and his dad would maybe have realised something was amiss. As it is his dad could continue to think he'd done a good thing and never known any different.
(PS Stealing is wrong lol)
This makes no sense.
Jimmy didn't skim the money from his dad like Chuck claims, his dad gave it away to all the grifters.
no he definitely stole some, i mean he literally took the money the grifter spent on cigarettes for himself. So he had a part, not the full 14k though
It looks like both were true. Jimmy tried warning his dad, then ended up going "well, if he's getting ripped off anyway, I may as well take some of it."
It was both. It's implied Jimmy stole a lot of it, especially after his 'wolves and sheep' conversation with that grifter.
Wrong. Jimmy literally decides to be the Wolf not the sheep like his father and they show him steal money from his dad. Jimmy is 100% shown to be a thief. We don't know how much, but we know somehow they are short $14,000.
It's also not a crime to give way your money. It is a crime to steal money from the register. You can't exculpate Jimmy. There's only one person committing a crime in this scenario out of Jimmy, The father, and Chuck. And, again, they literally show Jimmy stealing.
@@derred723 They show Jimmy coming to the realization that his dad is a sucker who will never learn. Jimmy could've taken more money, but what he took was $4 that his dad had just given the man, who still netted six dollars (plus two cartons of smokes) when he'd only asked for five). He tells his dad that everyone knows he's the easiest mark in town. Chuck said they were short $14K. Did you see his dad account for the missing $10? If he did that three times per day every day, what would happen?
Yes, Jimmy is a crook, but we never saw him take from Chuck, just the opposite, and there's no reason to think he'd steal from his father, whom he idolized. That $4 he pocketed was money his dad had already given away.
Kim is hot
🕳🇺🇸💕💙
To everyone that is thinking about supporting on patreon, I recommended it if you have a copy of the show and a little more time, definitely worth it.
I just support on patreon and don’t use the full length reactions
Isn't it like 10€ to see the full length ones? That's just as much as Netflix for uncut videos of one youtuber watching a show. Not worth it at all.
