Nice job. I have a Black 2017 QX70 Limited and the only option that wasn't available any more was the 5.0 V8 because they were no longer offered after 2014. Would love to do the same with the chrome trim as I think it really brings the QX70 up to date.
I believe it’s available with the dark chrome as well if you want to retain some bling. I don’t think other things like door chrome and emblems are dark chrome so it’s a little visually inconsistent. Thanks for watching 🙏

I don’t actually notice the bad MPG with the 50. I only know it’s bad when I check the little digital gauge thing. Has better gas mileage than my NSX Type S. 😂

Hard to find a better daily that’s both cool, uniquely borderline rare, and doesn’t break the bank. It’s my workhorse when needed. Now that I’ve put the new bumper on, front aero and fogs, it’s “renewed” the love for me.

How is the situation with the Rear differential bushing tearing? Are you thinking OEM replacement or the Z1 Motorsports Urethane bushing? I can tell you on my fx35 the ride is stiffer but I personally don’t mind it
What were you looking for regarding the wing? Like the install? If so, it’s just held on with strong double sided tape. It’s been ceramic UV coated too.

I’ve been looking for a nice preowned one, though most I’m finding with low miles seem to have red flag car fax reports w accidents, and roll back mileage reports. Hope I can find one in the near future to add and not end up with a lemon. Can you advance on what to look out for in these? I know the 1st gen fx’x were beautiful though idk if they may be to old of an investment and prefer the tech upgrades.
Hi There. I'm facing as issue with the birdeye (360) camera. The sensors are working the self diagnostic shows the the connection from the control module to the cameras it's yellow. I try to check the fuses and as the screen it's green blank when I try to calibrate them. Some research shows me that maybe the problem it's the camera module and needs replace them. Any ideas about the issue?
@@HardParking Also for me. Never face any issue like that. But it's one person on UA-cam that public a video with the same issues and asking help to see to sort it out. Tomorrow I have to call a couple of engineers to see if they are repairing these kind of units otherwise I need to see from where to buy one as in UK the Infiniti close the dealerships.
I have had 2 fx 45-50s upgrade your grounds watch the connections of your TCM my 2009 kept going into limp mode I upgraded grounds and it did it a lot less . If this is not addressed this will lead to a transmission failure . One of my favorite cars had 200k on it when I got rid of it and it only need cats and oxygen sensors . It’s built like damn truck and the fastest sport SUV I HAVE DRIVEN! I want to try a pedal commander to do away with pedal lag
I’ve thought about pedal commander or sprint booster (basically same products), I have sprint booster on my NSX Type S but nothing throttle lags like these FX transmissions 😂. I’ll check into upgrading my grounds. Can you get me more information on that? Is it a DIY or is it a shop task?
@@HardParking DIY I had a G37 IPL that was done Basically up grade any ground you see esp if to a control unit Infiniti /Nissan are known for flimsy grounds . That transmission was great until about 140k when I upgraded a few grounds it rarely did it. I believe the TCM Is in a vulnerable spot . I drained and filled the trans twice no metal or debri . Now this was a 2099 so this issue may have been addressed

Hoping to get an FX50 soon as a road trip/ project car. I decided to get that instead of the Kona N. Way more car for the money.

I went with the dealer installed poly kit made for the 5.0.

Quick question i have a 09 sport I though the 09 came with 7 speed auto when i use manual mode it only shows 5 Gears not 7
Was there a question? lol Not sure why yours caps off at 5, it is a 7 speed auto.

People love the 5.0 V8’s but you’re better off with the V6’s. Some of the prices are high for what you get but overall they are great vehicles

That’s a new one for me. I would try to find a used camera module. If it were the fuse, I would think the screen would just be black and that’s it.

yeah especially the later models I had a 2009 which was loaded with tech, Front ran a lot of these other mid level SUV.
If you're not concerned about fuel economy, the FX is great buy

Always worth it depending on the price. One minor thing to note is there is no audio/music BT on the 09, just cellular.
If I just want to replace the shifter knob without the both. Can I do that?
The shape won’t allow for it. You need the boot or will have to make one.
What if you straight piped your FX?
Would just make it loud. Unless forced induction or an all-motor build, straight pipe does nothing for performance.
