Re-beginner here...in my 40s had an rc racer when I was a pre-teen. Just bought a BlackZon Slayer monster truck 4wd. So far it’s a lot of fun, I am guessing it goes 30mph out of the box.
I had a great rc car year! Five vehicles my pockets hurt, but my mentality using rc car as a hobby, has helped me mentally. And I’ve learned lots on them, and have become a huge fan of yours. So with that been said. Smoke weed every day.

few mistakes on this video: Losi sells LMT as 1/8 but if you take measurements from a real grave digger, it's actually a 1/10 with 1/8 electronics. 2) Baja rey is a trophy/baja truck, not a short circuit truck, as it has a rear solid axle instead of independent axles.
The Udr is the best short course truck and the e revo 2.0 the best basher out of the Box in my opinion but still great video👍 The big rock is one of my favorites great value
Thabks dude the udr was included in my 2020 video, when it comes to bashing, I think the Mojave is slightly stronger but the udr definitely offers better looks and realism 😀

Appreciate it dude! If I can recommend one thing, that would be the rest bearing, it will break pretty quick (some do, some dont) so maybe look at buying the RPM rear hub carrier which will upgrade the hub and give you a much larger bearing, I have it and it's never broken

After spending $1000K US including tax, you have to make upgrades right away? Plus the plastic shock caps break as well. I like all brands, but for that type of money you should not need to upgrade anything out of the box. Just does not seem right.
@@RA-bw2wp Upgrades are completely arbitrary. I know plenty of ppl have been running out the box for 2 years or more. Things are gonna break on any vehicle (RC or not) but repairs are easy and relatively inexpensive..
Can not wait for next summer. I have been out of the hobby for more than 5-years - hard to get batteries in my location, however, I have found two companies that will ship here!!! I plan to order some batteries and a few new RC cars. I want a 1/10 touring car, Losi LMT, Arrma Infraction, and Losi Baja Rey 2.0, in addition to a few others. I plan to buy used first and then whatever can not be found will be bought new. I may go ahead and get one battery and a new/used car in the coming weeks.
Definitely agree with you on the Xmaxx I have one and its epic its fast its big and its totally bonkers but yes it's an amazing bit of kit I just whant two more of this list and there the big rock and the lmt definitely 🤘🤘🤘
I'm not sure why they would say not to get a traxxas xmaxx but the next best I think would be either a kraton exb or a maxx, a maxx would be slightly cheaper 😁

Thanks dude 😀 The xmaxx doesn't break easy, it's one of the most durable rc cars. As for an intermediate rc car, I would suggest a kraton 4s, typhon 3s, maxx, rustler 4x4 vxl or something like that
I would go with an Arrma Big Rock or a Granite 3S for more of a stunt truck. Great value, fast, tough, and cheap parts. Big Rock is the best overall basher out there. You can buy a Big Rock, a Granite, and a Typhon for the price of an XMaxx.

I like it how he said the big rock is extremely durable and yes it is but my buddy was thrashing it so hard he broke 3 drive shafts and 2 spur gears in 2 days but then again there was a lot of bashing

Hey mate. In my opinion, if you are new to the hobby, go battery! They are much less maintenance and no tuning or breaking in required, just charge plug and play! Also, electric is generally faster but of course, you don't get the nitro sound haha. Both are great, I'm more of an electric fan myself.
I really like zeee power lipo batteries, they're responsibly cheap and great quality, as for a charger, some thing like a single or dual flysky, that's what I'm currently using 😀

Awesome video! The part about the big rock info is off some.Its comparable to a Typhon with a truck body not a Granite. Thats the old model which they havent made in a year.Its been replaced by the v3.

Hey dude, I'm glad you got some value from the video 😀 A good quality beginner rc car would be the typhon mega brushed, it's awd, comes with a battery and charger, it's a great price, it's fast but you can turn the speed down on the remote until he gets more confident to go faster. If you want cheaper I'd like at maybe a 2wd traxxas slash brushed. If you want to go all out, then get a maxx so he can be like you (kids like that) get the same colours etc.. but its quiet fast! I hope that has helped, if I can help further, let me know 😀
i just thought of something crazy...... what if someone took a drone cam and placed it on a rc car and then strap the phone with the app that the cam works with to the steering wheel.... 0.o that sounds cool

Traxxas basher truck are great design but I find them breaks easy compare to Armma

Why put the kraton instead of outcast. The chassis is less of an issue on the shorter chassis
