this is a really good, helpful video. thank you! a little tip: use the metric units as well as the american units so that viewers can understand your video without having a calculator with them.

David - excellent review, thank you! I would love the timer feature on this cordless model. Does the battery last through three cleanings? It seemed like you were saying that you could set it to clean again after 48 hours and then again 48 hours later. I've had all of the cleaners over the years including a Dolphin. My favorite is the Robo Kleen though because of the filter bag which gets everything including algae and it's super light weight 12 pounds. I wish they would come out with a battery version - maybe you could do it! Thanks for a great review.

Hi Diane! I've always loved Maytronics and their first ever cordless cleaner is pretty good, although not perfect. The liberty does come with the ultra-fine filters so it will also capture that algae like debris like the Kleen did. As for the timer, I should clarify. It's a PRESET timer that you unfortunately CANNOT change. It turns on every 48 hours from the point you first activate Eco mode. FIRST run is when you activate it, then 48 hours later the SECOND run turns on, and finally another 48 hours after that the last THIRD run goes. So in reality it's more like running 3 times total over the course of 5 days. Although not a full week, still the only cleaner I know of that has a timer function and can be left in the pool. As for run time, while in ECO mode it's been spot on 30 minutes each time. Remember, this is a really great MAINTENANCE cleaner for swim season. It works really well during normal swim season weather. I love it. But once swim season ends, you most definitely need to close off your pool if you do that or, use a different type of cleaner to adjust seasons. Hope that helps!

Great video. Thank you. My pool is 36' - I know it's rated for 33', is the extra 3' going to be a deal killer?

You won't notice a difference really in the 3 feet. Remember though, this is more of a convenience cleaner for during swim season. It works REALLY well for me during summer time and I love it! If you do get the occasional storm or unexpected weather though during swim season I'd recommend fully charging it and using it on a full cycle. Then once most of the debris is clean you can switch it to the ECO timer mode, after charging it again of course. Hope that helps!

Will this unit go over pool drains? I have an Aiper Seagull Pro and it gets stuck on the drains every time.

The Liberty does get caught up in the main drain but eventually it'll back itself out of it and move along the pool. I heard about the Seagull Pro's main drain issue and some people actually have been able to make it work better by basically attaching rubber bands to the wheels to raise the height of the wheels up slightly. This makes the cleaner taller and makes it easier to go over the drains. Maybe you can try that first? Seems like it would work.

So for the eco mode will the charge last for one week 3 cleaning cycles? If the pool is 30’.

Doesn't last quite a week. More so 5 days.
Day 1: turn on, first run
      Day 2: off
Day 3: turns on, second run
      Day 4: off
Day 5: turns on, last run
      Day 6: off
      Day 7: off
      Hope that makes sense

What is the capacity of the filter basket?

My pool is caged not super dirty or leaves my main issue is algae on waterline. Would this one work or only the premier. I was trying to avoid the cord

For a dirty waterline the Liberty 300 wouldn't be enough to actively scrub it unfortunately. I think algae on the waterline would need an aggressive active scrubber.
The Premier would be the better choice but if you're trying to avoid the cord and focusing primarily on the waterline I would take a look at the Seauto Seal and Shark models. Those two models have some of the most aggressive waterline cleaning I've ever seen.
Out of those two, the Shark actually reaches the waterline, scrubs it, and then moves along the waterline for more coverage. Definitely take a look at that one

@@imdefinitelydavid thank you for the reply so to get up passed my tile to the travertine tip of the ground I would need the premier?

    • @imdefinitelydavid
      @imdefinitelydavid  6 місяців тому +1

The travertine tip is the very top and sits over the tile I assume? Like the ledge that hangs over. If so, yes the Premier would go all the up above the water until it hits that tip

@@imdefinitelydavid yep exactly! Thank you so much. That was the answer, I was needing to figure out if it would go all the way to that point. The premier it is lol. Thanks a lot. You have been super helpful. I appreciate your time!!
