Its 100% S teir and the best spec for light lmao. Most annoying spec in the game if anything and second place is the goo gun and the people who are cracked CCing you from across the map as they close the distance to smack you with the sledge lmao.
Bro you come up against anyone in the top 200 and dash isn’t it. Cloak is good because it makes you hard/impossible to see, you can get in and out of positions, you can set up a gateway play, you can sneak and stun, you can do so many things with it. The only way to go invis with dash is to take invis bomb and the other gadgets are too good to replace with invis bomb. Cloak is the way forward for effective team play as a light. Dash is good for solo WT and whatever, but coming up against good teams with dash, you’ll get cooked too quick.
That bit about the guardian turret got me thinking, what if we get it some mild recon capabilities by highlighting damaged enemies for a short while, like the other scan gadgets yk. To compensate it would FOR SHURE need a slight damadge or health nerf though, depending on where it will sit in the meta. Either way could be cool to see turret being more usefull in comp. (edit) Actually, by doing this you make the turret way more of a team supportive gadget, even when casual and beginner players use it. So embark, HIT ME UP WE NEED THIS

Charge and slam gotta be at least in A it's literally insta 130 damage button and more if you hit more and slam. It can really change the outcome of a fight 💪 but really good list 👍
Maybe in lower ranks, but in higher ranks most people know to stay clear and how to avoid it. High ranks usually use it as a movement tool more than anything.
Charge definitely deserves a higher spot. It may be quite braindead but there is so much use for it. It can win you fights that are unwinnable sometimes. Stalls cashouts so well also.
You missed the point of the video. This isn't a list for what's good/great in 1v1 situations. Cause yeah, in a 1v1, it's often times a A+ tier just cause it can cancel out so much progress the enemy may have to put out. But in terms of where it stands in team comp offerings and game changing ability, it's non existent compared to the other things.
Surprised to see grapple so low. I feel like the positioning and macro movement options of it really lend itself to a much more map-mobile and versaitle light team mate. When considering how much more important it is for lights to have good positioning when compared to other classes, it seems weird that a specialization dedicated to positioning would be so low.
Yeah the grapple is an excellent tool to bug out of a fight. It also lets you very quickly reach enemies who take a high ground and keep them from sniping your teammates

mesh having no cooldown again with sa12 is one of the most fun things ever, but the tiny delay after dropping shield stopping you from shooting, its only there for like 0.2 seconds, and i don't know why bc its really clunky, they already disincentivized dropping it with the -200 health penalty so there's no reason to have it
Turret isnt good, but I still use it.I stopped being a healbitch in s2 and for demat, I dont have the eye for the best uses in some situations. So I stick with turret, either it does something or not. Its not in my hand after I place it.
Thats why its the worst specialization for ranked. There are situations where you get absolutely 0 use from it. Demat/Heals tho, always get some sort of use for each engagement
takes way too long for goo players to do that and equip time usually is enough to get some shots in on the goo players even when they do see you demat the wall, best thing for them to do is just shoot back
Personally, dash is only a good special if you have a fast killing weapon such as the double barrel or the throwing knives, in ranked and high elo, the cloak wins by a mile just because you can back in and out of fights with your team and reposition.

If you're doing a Gadget tier list afterwards, I'd be incredibly interested in your rating on Defib in particular. This season it went from the must-run utility, to feeling so bad I swapped it out for Goo nades.
Its still good, just move the body somewhere before rezzing. Its good for stopping the medium spam making it feel like you're fighting 3 teams when its MMM lol. Coming from a medium main too.

I had the opposite experience, I tried running different util over the defib but still found myself in situations where the enemies had it and we didn"t and it just let their life/fight economy sustain better. I think players are so used to having a "get out of jail free card" that they'll over-aggress a skirmish and then die, and then the skirmish just turns into a bloodbath. I will say I primarily solo queue so obviously that really impacts how the defib is utilized. The couple times i've played w/ friends it felt nice to not HAVE to take the defib and instead run something like a glitch trap or just double damage util.

Downsides is that you don't get to setup & no chill, upsides is that there is more action per minute of game played. I think it's OK, it's not that bad, usually if you win fight the best (at least in World Tour), is to kill two people then 1 guy moves with the box, while other 2 disengages generally to buy as much time.
I have a question about gameplay. When is it beneficial to deposit the cash out and then have your whole team move away from it in order to deny/deposit the second cash out. I just started playing the game again and the whole depositing meta and strategies is confusing
Isn't the dash the best for lights in terms of combat stats, if you have good aim should you not be able to start shooting, and when they fire back you dash and realign your aim to dodge damage? Of course the enemy can still track you after you dash but you know when and where you're dashing in advance so you should always be able to realign your aim before they do. Though it is def more kill-centric and less team synergy.
When you cloak, the more you move, the more noise the cloak makes (that disoriented wobble sound). Also when you are cloaked, you also emit a hazy outline around your character. The faster you move, the more the outline shows. So when you are completely still, the outline and noise is still there, but it is very hard to see and hear unless you are actively searching for it!

Skilled players will easily kill you mid grapple and once an enemy teach gets inside of a building its almost useless I love the gadget, I thinks its extremely fun to play, it needs an extra dimension to it. Personally, I would love to see a change where it doesnt automatically "detach". This would increase the skill curve and make some cool situations such as spinning around like a top, "sticking" to a wall of ceiling like spider man etc
I hope they add a new specialist for the light class. I feel like the light class doesn’t do enough for the team, like give them the ability to spawn a fake clone or something that’s a 50hp clone that’s see through kinda. It’ll be a cool concept
I think medium really needs another specialisation. Dematerialiser is super fun but the other two are just kinda boring. Medium also doesnt really have any weapon that pairs well with their specialisation except for demat and literally every weapon and gadget. Maybe a health buff armour thing that slows you down? I have no idea what it should look like sadly, and im sure the devs are also having a hard time coming up with one that's fun

Demat doesnt feel extremely skill based tbh, maybe for super cheeky niche stuff? But realistically its about as simple push button go place ypu initially couldnt with nearly 0 counterplay. Still shocked its as strong as it is, near silent gadget in the middle of fight capable of getting some insane angle or ambush up to 3 times that cannot be glitched out. Insane
I’d say niche specialization. It’s good if you know how to maximize on it. If you suck at it, you’re just going to dash yourself off the map or, right into the enemy
Evasive dash definitely needs some sort of buff to make its skill ceiling higher. Right now it’s a compensation tool for bad movement and bad positioning. It needs to be more than that. A possible solution would be to have more charges but less travel distance to create a micro movement tool. That can’t fix your bad movement/ positioning but can boost your survivability and your positioning skills
idk if this is supposed to be a joke, but if it's not, let me tell you why it's bad. Having a spec that literally makes the game less fun and skill expressive for everyone is, well, not a good thing. You could make the CD 2 minutes. That means every 2 minutes, you win every fight. Then it just becomes a balancing nightmare between how many shields and aimbot specs you need to win any fight. As I said before, not a good thing. If you can somehow think of a non-problematic way to implement this, I'm all ears!
Your logic for how to combat turret is crazy flawed….. everyone doesnt carry turrets counter and people who use current either uses it for cover or like an alarm system….

But I think it wouldn't be cool to show that it was like that so he separated them.

Cloaking lets you reposition and always shoot people first from off angles. Obviously if you get super close to the enemy then you are in a bad spot but you just run away at that point or use a safety gateway to quickly reposition

I think goo gun should be higher based on its potential. It can counter the demat by blocking areas that are denatured

If this game was TDM centric, it'd be the best. But it's about what's best for your team and objectives. Cloak tops all
