Thanks to all the UA-camrs. Don't know what I would have done without you guys!!!!!
My driving instructor barks at me . Sometimes I feel like never driving again .
sounds like my driving instructor😐
same like me😢😢
Same here I hate my driving lessons
They have to be strict and serious. you're on the road and you have to be cognizant of what you're doing. If you crash, not only you will get hurt both the instructor as well. So he's looking out for himself/herself
I understand the struggle bro your not alone lol
Very helpful thank you! My driving instructor tells me I am having trouble doing this.
La Tise Weaver same problem
Yea so did i ...i prefer the other method
same problem, have my road test tomorrow, hoping the tester doesn't freak out. i dont have a problem turning with the other method
Same here 😮
@@B2Bloodsplosion what's the other method?
Thanks a lot..
Super technique sir! Thank you
Most instructors teach never cross your hands when driving
Thats because if you get crashed and airbag activates your hands wont be in front of your head. And you dont risk hitting your head with ur hand when wearing a watch or something.
For the air bag to deploy, you need to be around 25, Hopefully you’re not turning at that speed.
I just passed my driving test two weeks ago, but I used the "feed the wheel" method and wanted to try this for a change.
Arnold Schwarzenegger narrator
Wow that's great 👍👍🙌🙌 Greetings from northeast India 🇮🇳
Thank you for this technique; l will do it 👍🏻
Thanks dear for helping
This video help me alot thank you
Thank you 🙏
is the handbrake really necessary for these situations? im going to do my driving test soon. this video is very helpful, these handbrake starts might be a little too much..
My driving instructor says using the hand over hand technique is not allowed due to the hands eventually locking together (and thus will become stuck and hard to pull out).
Your hands don't lock together if you do it right, and it allows more control when turning. The hand sliding technique is garbage.
Yes mine says u should not cross over your hands
@@JohnSmith-tz7iy *"It allows more control when turning."* An opinion for which you gave precisely zero evidence, I notice. In my entire driving career, including more than a decade as a qualified ADI, I never came across a single situation where crossing hands proved the superior technique. When you feed the wheel, both hands are always where you want them; when you cross arms, they aren't. It's as simple and as straighforward as that. And when you feed it, you can turn the wheel every bit as fast - if not faster - for that very reason. Not my opinion in isolation, but also that of seasoned experts the world over. If you don't believe me, here's Dave Storton, Chief Instructor at the San José Police Academy, demonstrating how easy and precise it is, at any speed:-
ua-cam.com/video/e5IJL6rwe_8/v-deo.html
When you cross hands you inevitably "run out of arms", and have to take one hand off the lower half of the wheel to grab it higher up; during that time, the wheel is stationary (or near to it), which could cost you your life in an emergency. It's also a direct cause of the 'jagged inputs' that proponents say this method is supposed to cure! Hand-over-hand can make it more difficult to change direction as well, because once you're committed to turning one way, the hands are in the worst possible place (the wrong side of the wheel) for steering to the other.
When you feed the steering, _both hands are always in the correct position to respond to changing needs;_ so the driver can immediately apply _any amount of lock, in either direction, whilst keeping both hands on the wheel at all times._ And, of course, both arms are well out of the way of the airbag, making it safer still. Simply put, feeding the wheel is the safest technique in every respect, no matter what uninformed piffle you may have heard - most of which is irrelevant to road driving and production vehicles anyway.
There is probably more nonsense talked about steering than any other aspect of driving. There is nothing wrong with having a preference, but it worries me when people mislead others by inventing excuses - many of which are comletely untrue - to justify it. I am not saying this just to be difficult: it is my honest opinion, based on the empirical observation of well over a million miles of driving on some of the most congested roads in Europe, and of teaching members of the public how to survive on them.
ver nice
12 o clock position got it, now it’s just to actually remember it on the day of the event I need to do it lol
Maybe it's different in different countries or something but I'm not allowed to drive this way
Imagine what would happen if you were turning across traffic and were struck by an oncoming car; the airbag would be deployed straight into your crossed arms and your forearms would hit your face at 200mph. It would be a very bad day. Use push-pull.
Just use push-pull anyway. It's a far better technique.
There is that danger, however if your an inexperienced driver that finds the push pull hard to use (particularly during lessons) then using the hand over hand method is a risky but better option untill you can get more experienced and eventually weave the hand over over method over to using the push pull method.
does Arnold schwerstenager narrate this
My evil driving instructor told me I need to work on turn the steering wheel hand over hand at with a plate whit h I’m use for practices until I get it
The safe way is 9.3
I wish i can practice this hand over hand technique....
Grab a big dinner plate
how about 9-3
never hand over hand
NEVER CROSS YOuR HANDS EVER
I just failed my road test for not doing hand over hand
WRONG WRONG WRONG The steering holding is 9 to 3. Look AT LEAST once how hold the steering the Alonso. MERCY
it can be done both ways
