    That was the best explanation I've ever heard on the subject. Respect and thank you!

    Awesome! I never really knew what the Generated chanbnel did for me, nor did I know about the auto texturing. This is hugely helpful!

    Thank you very much! These image textures and coordinate-mapping thing is always was the hardest for me to understand, but its much easier now 👍

      I recorded the next part of the sardines can tutorial today that covers more texturing. I hope to have it up tomorrow.

    Another great vid. I've only recently discovered your channel & pleased I did. Your teaching style is well paced with just the right amount of information, which makes your tuts easy to follow. You've helped to up my knowledge, especially with lighting techniques and how it effects the material, which I always struggle with. Thank you. And of course I've subbed, I'd be stupid not too.

    2:08 Object properties are common across different object types, whereas the data properties are specific to the object type (mesh, in this case).
    Note that the panes in the Properties window are arranged with the most general settings at the top (e.g. render settings, world settings), and more specific ones further down. Everything below the object properties is dependent on the object type. Thus, for example, modifiers and constraints (if indeed any are allowed for this object type) only show options relevant to this object type.

    The only really sad thing about this box/triplanar mapping is that you can't rotate it making it somewhat useless. I've even asked the developers about it but for some reason it seems that they don't want to fix this :\

    • @christopher3d475
      @christopher3d475  Рік тому

      Yeah, I agree rotation would be super useful.

      Node wise its not possible to rotate it.......?

    • @christopher3d475
      @christopher3d475  Рік тому

      @@sebbosebbo9794 Not sure about nodes. I've done some digging to find a solution to rotation, but haven't found a convincing solution apart from rotating the geometry in edit mode, but that's not always ideal.

    Hello Christopher. I really love Your videos. I want to ask You, can You make a video about bottle of some liquid and condensation on it? I use droplet generator, but I have problem with lightening the secene and droplets to "pop up"(maybe my shaders sucks). I know it's hard subject and that Principled BSDF/Cycles not the best way for transparent product visualization.

      I'll look into that. I have a model that could be a good basis for that tutorial.
