Thank you Teoh, for another great podcast, I am what you would call an old woman, who has just taken up drawing and hopefully painting, and watching your podcast has certainly encouraged me to have a go, I have been watching all your back podcast and enjoying ever one, looking forward to seeing your next podcast, blessings from Scotland
Many people draw photos and they will become photos. You paint very well. Watercolor painting should have the feeling of watercolor painting. Your painting is great.
Everything was good (brilliant in fact) except finding the vanishing point - perhaps you can use a straight edge and pencil next time to show how you arrived at the vanishing point. The VP in your drawing appears to be slightly above the horizon line you marked in. Very good tutorial and I use similar measuring methods, particularly prominent verticals like a telegraph pole or tree trunk which can be used to mark off other elements along that vertical. Thanks again, Teoh.
Excellent tips for tackling a very complicated city scene. Making point-marks in specific areas for aligning some of those buildings is a brilliant idea. The final drawing came out beautifully - honestly it looks way better than the photo! Thank you Teoh!
I really love your loose style, I am never so confident in my lines when using ink!
