CombatStryker before you join, talk to 2 special people; a family member and a combat veteran about joining. Combat Stryker, war is not a video game. People get hurt/wounded and young people/Marines die. Keep all that in mind. Make sure you can run at least 2-3 miles, do 35-45 belly crunches and do 10-12 pull ups. In a month or 2 of boot camp you will be able to do more. Semper Fi from an old Marine Sgt.
Good parenting advice.....apart from the screaming and shouting and 5am wake up calls, rifle drills and combat training. Not great for a 2 year old. But starting with a good foundation of what’s right and wrong and how to be a good person and continuing that, then as the Ssgt said you’ll see a big pay off at the end.
Jason Herrera I had Him as a drill instructor from January to April this year. He will most likely still be a Charlie company Drill Instructor but you may not get his platoon.
Darrell Malone are you going to MCRDPI ? South Carolina in July is no joke, that heat will kick your ass. Plus, now with the whole “sexual assault” so called problem, you get these kids straight out of HS in July, first thing they’re told is you can’t talk this way or offend women or whatever, and instead of becoming Marines they have to look over their shoulder.
Because they're constantly yelling and some of them even have permanent vocal cord damage, my CDI had bad damage. The "frog voice" is a way they talk to make it not hurt as bad, trust me it works
We need you all now more than ever!! Love and prayers and THANK YOU to each :-)
I'm gonna join Corp when I get older
Same
I was talking to a recruiter who visted my school.
My Dad won't let me talk to the recruiter.
Even though my Dad's the one who almost joined the Marine Corp.

At 00:34 his belt loop is under his belt on his right rear hit.
tatudmarine that's how the SDI wears the black belt, or when you wear a sword belt with your chucks you only loop every other belt loop
Then why are the two next to it looped?
tatudmarine he must have messed up, they're not all supposed to be looped
My brother inspired me to join the USMC when im older, hoorah and semper fi

Oh corporal abuse, that helps...keep the Corps hard core...
I bet this guy can’t read out loud
I leave next month in July. Joining both my friends in boot camp already.
Darrell Malone bro it’s gonna suck in the summer
Mick Funny it’s gonna suck anyways right? And why do you say that?

Mick Funny no. I’m going to MCRD SD. No females whatsoever. If I’m not mistaken it’s very cool weather wise there?
Darrell Malone you are correct, nofemale recruits at MCRDSD.
Why do drill instructors always have such a raspy voice
Lone wolf Studios I’m assuming it’s mostly because their job literally requires them to yell at new recruits 24/7. But that’s only my guess
Too much ice cream in the chowhall
Yelling every day will do that...
Lone wolf Studios bob ross was a drill instructor
