Just a comment on Troy's videos and demos. One thing he actually shows you enough of a lesson on a demo to make a decision on purchasing. Some folks only show a minute or two. Second thing is I have several of his lap steel lessons and they are absolutely top notch. One of the best teachers on the net.
No problem. I just purchased one of the Hudsan lessons to help me make a decision on buying one of these...looks really good and a lot simpler than a ten string, so I think my decision is pretty much made.
Thanks Troy! I just finished a 6 string 2 pedal 1 knee lever Miller Custom E9 pedal steel guitar for a couple young boys I met in church. I am directing them to you for some pointers my friend!
@@michaelfenemore1168 I’m thinking he may have sold his business. Honestly I can’t remember exactly, but I’m “guessing” they were selling around $800-$1200 or so depending on what features you got
Hey Troy! I am in touch with Mr. Hudson, and I am going for an S8 E9th with 3-pedals and no levers. My goal is to still be able to get a "6" tuning (A6 or B6) as well by engaging the first two pedals...what do you think?! Thank you.

Very good lesson Troy. Easy to understand and follow.
Just bought a 6 string cougar master steel
great video
I gotta have one of these.
Very good!
This doesn’t appear to be E9 tuning. Where are the 7 and the 9 in the chord. I’m pretty new to steel. What am I misunderstanding?
Good point. I’m just thinking of it as the middle 6 strings of an E9 pedal steel
@@LessonsWithTroy Hudson doesn’t appear to have any prices on his website. Would you mind telling me the price of the model you have? Thanks.

What is the gauge of the strings?
I don't know by memory, but it's the same as the middle 6 strings of an E9 10 string pedal steel. I'd just Google that.
@@LessonsWithTroySuper good..so with a hot 011 of string I can resist a G # ... it brings the strings of the E9 pedal steel. thank you
Hey Troy, What amp are you using in these videos?
Hi Ryan, I use a Kemper Amp Profiler (Big Twin from the Amp Factory).
Give us the six notes in a six-string E9 tuning, please.

You set only reverb on amp ? I note that you have not volume pedal!
Yeah, I come from a Lap Steel world and right now the volume pedal is still really new to me. I have one though, but find I don't use it much.
I use a little delay and reverb
thanks for reply !
