@@tajmula671Chet’s excellent, and has superstar potential, but his peak is a 2nd or 3rd option on a championship winning team, Paolo had a historic rookie year, he can run a team’s entire offense as a rookie, and can be the best player on a championship winning team. I’d say Paolo definitely still wins rookie of the year, made a mid Magic squad into a great team, while Chet slots into an already good team and made them great.
the way this guy breaks the game down is insane, it's so easy to follow. when I first started watching you I was very new to basketball and the videos made sense to a beginner like me. Keep up the good work bro❤️
chet and wemby are becoming the new 2-way superstar and will probably be the template build for the upcoming NBA generation because of the versatility that they had with being tall
Been saying that. Even the wemby glazers don’t understand we were 10th seed last year without Chet. Adding him boost the team as a whole and we could’ve even made playoffs last season. Meanwhile spurs record with wemby was the same as last season 😂 casual
@@KiarRushingdude is really in here bringing up Wemby for no reason. Get his meat out of your mouth. It’s not an insult to say he had a better season, stop crying. OKC fans talk a lot for a franchise that’s never won. Stay humble
Chet vs Wemby will be the modern day Bill Russell vs Wilt Chamberlain and I'm here for it. I hope they all stay healthy in their careers and give us an amazing rivalry.
I like Chet and I like Wembanyama, but when they play each other the games are pretty awful. 3 of the worst NBA games I have seen in my life... I will just watch the two individually without trying to force some rivalry. One guy was working within the system of a team fighting for the #1 seed while the other was doing literally everything for his team on defense while playing for nothing. Both did impressive things, but the things they did were so far off it is silly to compare them.
One thing I love about the playoffs is that stars who were overshadowed by their counterparts in the regular season get their shine. Case in point, Chet Holmgren. Dude has been in Wemby's shadow for quite a while now through no fault of his own. We all knew he was getting ROTY even before this season started. They all hyped him up too much to not give him the award. But now, with no regular season awards on the line and the Spurs out of the playoffs, Chet is getting the acknowledgement he rightfully deserves. The dude is as talented as any other rookie. DPOY caliber right from the get go, an excellent shooter and playmaker for his position, more fluid than most other bigs, and smarter than most other rookies, just like his French counterpart.
He does have as much crazy natural tools as Wemby. And Wemby’s defensive IQ and timing is also crazy for a rookie. Stop comparing the two and enjoy greatness.
@@palooski227You have to stop comparing because Wemby made it clear it’s no comparison. But initially it was yt ppl doing comparison. Glad to see you and them waving the yt flag
2 years ago people was hatin on him thinking he was gonna be cocky and arrogant now they love him becuz he’s actually good and the most important part of OKC
Chet is actually much better offensively than you are saying imo. I know you have to hedge stuff but if OKC gets another big this summer (Claxton) he's going to have to work a lot less on that end and really be able to get loose offensively.
Very well may end up as the Drexler to Wemby's MJ; a 5x+ All-NBA player who gets somewhat forgotten because he played the same position, and in a similar style as one of the GOATs. That is unless OKC wins a few chips while he's there, that tends to help.
If you really watch Chet and wemby play you’ll see that they block have the same play style, can shoot 3s, anchor the defense, blocking shots, etc. no need to debate on who’s better and just watch their game
I wonder how much he will fill out as he gets a few years older. I don't expect a Steven Adams -> Aquaman transformation, but another 30 - 40 lbs make him an absolute monster as long as his game didn't change.
That’s unrealistic. Chet’s skill doesn’t rely on his size. He can pack on 10-15lbs and that should be enough. He’s not muscling his way down low. It’s all IQ and footwork with good touch around the rim. You don’t ever try to change your players archetype when they are already Elite, you build on those strengths.
@@808bboarder Hawaii body boarder? My main point was that Chet is still young and every guy still grows until they're 23-24, some until 25 even. Adams completely changed his first 3 - 4 years in the league. If Holmgren can put on some weight and it doesn't affect his game, that will be awesome.
He won't get bigger, but he'll get stronger. He already has by playing every regular season game. We'll see how his game progresses. Rebounding is something he needs to with on. But he only needs to improve by 2-3 D rebounds a game. They'll have to spread those rebounds to other guys too. Might be better for the transition game anyways.
The Chet Holmgren / Josh Giddey rebound game is certainly not great at the moment. But as two guys that are 21 years old, there is no reason to believe they won't make huge improvements just given time and coaching.
Boricua Hispanic India n black iam.. chet is a great player n shai Jalen n chet is the trio of okc.. back up dort arron joe n other players. Okc n Dallas will be again in the playoffs. I genuinely believe Chet should be roty. Wemby's numbers are impressive but ultimately meaningless. Chet also has impressive numbers but it's what's beyond those numbers what makes his case. The impact he has had on OKC is undeniable and to me OKC's rise from play-in to 1-seed was the biggest story in the NBA this year. And the single biggest change in Oklahoma was Chet.

Such a perfect fit
