New intro is the ticket, Hank & Gina. The video is top-notch. You and Brandell work super well together and I hope you make more videos together. Full-watch. Have a fine Friday and weekend. 👍
I quess we're both rookies. I just did the exact same thing on my 4540. Dropped the guard to do some cleaning, started raining and went inside and forgot it. Moved tractor andd caught it with bucket. Mine looks like a pretzel with a broke weld. I feel your pain. Love your channel and am actually not to far from ya'll ( Jackson county)
Love you sence of humor and truth about politician !!! LOL Pipe wrench as always it's place in any tools boxe !!! Great tractor grill guard !!! Keep up the good works !!! Cheers !!!
I added expanded metal to the guard on my Zetor 3320. It has pipe at the bottom and top of the guard that I wrapped the metal around. I welded it on the outside of the guard, so sticks and branches would not get trapped inside the guard against the expanded metal.
Yeah, having a big vise has been one of the best things I've done. I highly recommend finding an older, American-made 5" or larger vise for any farm shop. It makes things much easier.
Great job on the repair/fabrication! I think the original guard was fairly useless in terms of protecting the tractor from much. But what you guys built looks much better and will function much better!
Hank I had the same problem with the brush guard what I did to fix it was to take the radiator cap off and drive a new tractor under it with a good brush guard
I like it, i need to do the 2 added supports and expanded metal. I will also do the lower section, dang branches like to poke at stuff. They took a small piece of the bottom grill last time i was moving trees around.
I like the new intro. It may be the kioti staring in the other videos. 😂jk. You guys(Brandell) did a great job with that. Love the videos and learning with you. Keep it up. 👏
Stuff happens right? If you’re not occasionally breaking something, you’re not working hard enough. Your buddy does good work, nice repair job. Intro looks nice.
I must confess. I did the same blame thing. I checked the oil while putting fuel in the tank at a service station with the Tractor on the trailer. Closed the hood and forgot to put the brush guard back and bent it with the loader.🤯
Nice job guys. I didn't bend my brush guard yet but I do like the expanded metal idea I may do that on mine.anyway I commented awhile back on the straight edge you put on your bucket I bent my bucket too.I went to the dealer where I got my tractor and they had a used bucket off a track skid steer for 850 bucks I bought it put it on my tractor.there ain't no bending this bucket.I pushed a tree over with it.picked up the front of my truck with it . and yeah I did some regular stuff with it. Still straight. Problem solved
"I got a good size vice..." Holy $H!T thats huge LOL now thats a vice! I like the intro! I think quick little intros like that are the best! Is that vice available on amazon prime shipping? LOL Great video as always! You and Brandell are making great videos!
@@brandellfleming3225 Hey Brandell! I dont need a vice that large... well I DO but in reality I dont LOL but if I did I would use the link! Nice work there!
@homestead Jay what do you mean? Everyone needs a big vise! In all seriousness, though, that's one of my favorite tools. I don't use it often, but it's great to have when you really need it.
Yes we do when Gina is out with them. We have a big chicken hawk problem,so we have an area that has netting over it, it they go in the yard if Gina "supervises" them👍
I have a Lincoln 175 amp mig welder, and I run it on a 30-amp, 220volt circuit. It's a basic one from Lowe's, around 15 years old. It has served me well so far, but if I need to replace I think I am leaning toward the Vulcan omni-pro 220 from harbor freight. It does mig and stick out of the box, and can do tig and aluminum spool mig, also.
When you are looking at mig welders, a big differentiating factor is your voltage selector switch/knob. Mine has 5 distinct voltage selections: A-B-C-D-E. The better ones have a continuously variable voltage selector. So whatever you do pay attention to those features.
New intro was nice. The reason videos with Brandell are a hit is his tractor is orange, lol. Brandell welds like I do... just one glove on the steady hand lol. Good video and nice job on the repair.
after 2 times repairing my grill on my 1194 Case tractor it was time to put a full brush guard down to the front axles. Brandel that was a nice job that you did for Hank that a boy. Is it possible to not open the brush guard so far so it will not hit the hood going up or the FEL coming down ?
Thanks man. The brush guard will get it hit by the FEL it's in the down position. However this one ended up being about 6-8 inches shorter, so maybe not now. Bit I don't want to chance it😁
Get away from that wimpy flat bar it bends easily. I used 2" 1/4 wall square tubing, then use HEAVY not light duty expanded metal, the stuff you used is very light duty and brush will poke right threw it. Mine will stop the tractor mahindra 4510 and has not bent. Square frame, cover with expanded metal, make connection tabs with 3/8 flat steel bolt to tractor. I did use bed liner to coat mine. holds up better than pain. It is not necessary, but you can cut out for headlights and use pipe to reinforce the holes.
I think the expanded metal you used might fail. If it does upgrade to grating rated expanded metal, not cheap but much cheaper than headlight or a new radiator. This is similar to what I used. www.mcnichols.com/expanded-metal/grating/carbon-steel-cs-76000065?rbl=1642667476

It's great to have that kind of neighbor and to also be that kind of neighbor. That's what makes a great neighborhood! I'm truly blessed in mine.
Brandell is a class act. I'm proud he is my buddy.
I had to watch that again. Good stuff.
Thanks buddy
what a nice lunch table you got for your tractor!
Love it Hank, run with it!!!🍒🍒🍒👍

Thanks Dean. I appreciate you 👍
Ouch. Nice job yes expand metal helps a lot great video . Great neighbor too lol
Thanks! Really enjoyed your Kubota video👍
Short and sweet intro. No, HRC is a lot more crooked. Now that's a vice! Very nice finished guard!
Hahaha😂😂😂
That is a good intro

Nice job y'all did! Looks real good! Have a good week!
Thank you John. I appreciate it
Great video buddy well done 👍👍👍
Thank you John. Good luck with your new baits👍
Nice repair, no substitute for a shop full of equipment. Need to find a nice big vise like that, but on the plus side, I do have a press.
Yeah, he's got all kinds of cool stuff :)

Hank, you are a lucky man to have a talented neighbor like Brandell. A very interesting and informative video which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Thanks Terry. I appreciate that. I think highly of Brandell and glad I haven't run him off yet. 😁
Very nice job on the repair. I added additional protection to my grill to prevent sticks from coming through and getting the radiator.
Cool👍 it was a fun project. I feel it's a necessary addition for most tractor owners👍

Yes I did😂

It's called porta power. It works really good.

It's a Wilton 800S vise, if you want to look it up. I'm sure Hank would appreciate you ordering it through his affiliate link, for sure.

Really nice. One thing I do Loki’s about Mahindra, is the strong grill guard of a rectangular shape. What size expanded metal did you use? Thanks.
I think it was 10 gauge. Maybe 1/8" thick...cant remember the specifics
Hey guys! Nice barn with the chickens and rabbits! Do you ever let the chicken free range?

Hey guys 💖 Love the intro 💖 Nice job on fixing the grill guard!
Thank you Ms. Sabrina 😊
Ya know Hank, if that grille guard was ORANGE, it wouldn’t have bent! 🤪🤪🤪😂
Oh lord, here comes the Kubota jokes 😂😂
What size and brand mig welder are you using on your repairs.? Would you buy the same size again if not what would you suggest.
I'll tell Brandell to stop by and answer👍

Maybe if you didn’t have such a powerful monster of a tractor as the 4540 these things wouldn’t happen.
