- This video was initially suppose to be a Salmon video, however that didn't work out. Instead, Gage and I decided to pull an audible and try a type of fishing I had never done before, deep sea jigging! Hope you guys enjoy the video, and stay tuned for more!

Rod: Anything 6-7' heavy
Reel: Avet (Gotta have a big spool)
Line: 65lb braid
Lure: 4 oz diamond jig tipped with squid
(Anything big enough to hold 300 yards of line and pick up 4-5 oz weights will work)

You guys are really good fisherman, those rock cod are so nice , what a beautiful delicious catch , sometimes rock fishing is better than salmon, halibut and ling cod are nice too, so did you go outside the bay into the ocean? Do you ever fish around bird rock , it's right around the other side of Tomales head there near to he mouth of the bay

Do you go north or south on the coast line when launching from Lawson? And how far ?
Would love to go fishing there one day.
