I like class A because the cab is part of the coach and gives you more cab space. Giving up driver and passenger doors is no big problem with me. In a class A, you are seated a little higher and is a great advantage following a line a vehicles. Gives you a advantage view ahead.
We just returned from Greensboro, North Carolina, where Alyssa, a wonderful associate of WeldTec Designs, has sent us to do the installation of: WTD - Ford E-Series Class C RV 6‘’ Suspension Lift Kit King Shocks “Off Grid”, to the most reputable shop for this kind of work "Piedmont Performance" to our 25 feet RV. We're willing to go all the way down to San Diego, from Ontario Canada, but Alyssa saved us time and money for introducing us to Morgan, the boss and chief mechanic of P.P. Thank you all: WeldTec Designs, for their superb materials (kits) Alyssa, for her patience and understanding. And last but not least Morgan, the executioner of, for me, complicated work. The trip back home, over 14 hrs, was a breeze. Worth every penny.
@@WeldtecDesigns I have been interested in the Axis for a while. Clearance is a consideration. What other class C RVs do you guys love and would recommend as opposed to this class a axis?
Just had my 1997 E150 lifted in August by WeldTec and I love it. Im going back in September for a 4.11 ring and pinion to complemenet the 35's I'm running.
@@WeldtecDesigns After the install of the 4.11 R&P, I was driving around El Cajon for the break-in. I new immediately that I had made the right choice to match the gearing to the new 33's. But the ride home sealed the deal. The restored shift points@RPM, restored gas mileage, and crisp acceleration made the project worth the investment. Thanks again.
The Class A Axis/Vegas is one of the smallest class A’s you can buy. My 2015 24.1 can slip into tiny forest service campsites, park in 2 spaces at a supermarket, and it won’t trap me in a gas station like my truck-trailer did in Santa Barbara (my wife had to stop 4 lanes of traffic for me to back out)! The down side is the noise - banging over bumps, rattles, wind noise, really poor build quality. The class C, avoids a lot of those’d issues by retaining to OE cab, dash, etc., but you have to climb up out of the cab to access the living area. On a smooth Interstate I love driving my Axis, and don’t have any issues with passing trucks. I did at the Safe-T-Plus and Timbren bump stops, which raised my front end by 1.5” and cut down on the banging over bumps, potholes, etc.
I would like to see a tour of the inside. It’s unique putting a class a body on a class c chassis. I would like the enhanced view from the large windshield, but I like the permanent cab over bunk of the class c. Good video. I would definitely contact you if I bought one of these rvs. Nice job.
We own one. There is a bunk over the cab that is a full size twin mattress size (although with a low depth mattress). It’s on an electric lift up/drop down system.
I recently saw a Thor Axis in my neck of the woods at stock ride height and it looked sketchy. Its hard to appreciate the extra clearance unless your seeing it in person with your own eyes. The WeldTec Lift kit is the only way to go!

We're glad that Alyssa was able to assist you and that you're happy with your new lift kit. Thank you!
We are so happy to hear that you love your kit and the awesome job Peidmont did on the install. Thank you.

Jeremy, I'm convinced . When I get the new Axis I will schedule the 4 inch lift. It has been shipped. Grandpa Jack.

so the height of RV would change too. Thinking about a 2" lift. Wondering about bridges!
More Chevy express stuff please I’m not old enough for one of these RVs yet
That's funny! Stay tuned as we might have some Chevy Express videos coming out soon.
