Adam, I totally disagree with you on the ending of Kill Bill Vol.2. The ending of her crying in the bathroom is not because of she’s got nothing left it’s that she is happy that her daughter is alive and she made it out alive with her and has a second chance to live happy. Also what I love about their confrontation it’s more like marriage counseling, working out their relationship and unloading their emotional baggage which made it feel more mature despite it being two super assassins.
27:28 I actually like the ending of World War Z, the slow crawl though the lab was suspenseful and a nice change of pace. Apparently it was originally going to be another battle scene, but the director felt that would be too exhausting, so they mixed it up. I think the ending was a smart decision and takes the movie up a notch, it would have just been a generic action movie otherwise.

Hancock had such great potential and was great for a bit. I think they could remake it and just retell the beginning, and then continue with Will's character being this reluctant hero getting into fun situations, and then by the end he saves the world and realizes that he needs to be nicer or something. You could literally have the most generic plot ever but the concept alone can carry it (and hell, maybe even introduce another superhero who's a better person, and they can team up and learn from each other). Instead they went the opposite route. Maybe the writers just got writer's block and couldn't think of more situations to put him in, so they basically just pulled out the plot from a completely different movie and stuck it on this one.
I think this is amongst the first times that you did something on the channel with your wife. That rocks and you have great chemistry. I always got the impression she was sort to camera shy (I am that way). You all seem to get along well, and maybe involve her more if she wants to throw in a new dynamic every once and again. Just a suggestion sir. Like you said awhile ago, someone who is with you for the ups and downs of life is as good as it gets for sure.

Your memory of the ending of The three billboards movie is a little off. Mildred and Dixon realize their suspect’s DNA doesn’t match her daughter’s killer. However, Dixon overheard the man talking and knows he committed rape at some point. Dixon and Mildred decide to go on a road trip to find and kill this man and then the movie ends. I really liked this movie basically b/c it was so different than anything I had seen in a while. Also, the acting was outstanding. I know Sam Rockwell won an Oscar for this movie but still I don’t think he gets mentioned enough as a fantastic actor. Loved him in The Way Way Back and several others. One more thing, I really enjoyed Lyndsi joining the live stream! I think it’s great that she hasn’t seen a majority of these movies and definitely misremembers what she has seen. It’s fun watching you get frustrated b/c she’s clearly isn’t listening to you explain the ending to I am Legend and definitely forgot the premise to Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. Also, The Prisoners conversation was hilarious 😂
Just rewatched War of the Worlds for the first time since the theater. Yes I’ll acknowledge that there are some good action scenes. However, I just can’t get past the POS son or the cringy Tim Robbins scene. Oh yeah and the ending sucks

To me, a bad ending sometimes can be an undeserved ending too. Last night I rewatched Collateral, a movie I really like until the last 30 minutes or so. Max (Jamie Foxx) did not deserve to beat Vincent (Tom Cruise) in that movie. Not only does he kill this trained killer who has been flawless the whole movie, he does it with his eyes closed standing directly in front of him. So stupid.
Nailed it. It would have been better for Vincent to shoot Max, and maybe show some slight remorse, if only because Vincent knew about Max’s future plans, regardless if Max was ever going to realize them.

It's 2/3rds really solid. Kinda like Minority Report for me. The good outweighs the bad but they both have disappointing final acts.
In Titanic, Bill Paxton is the guy in our current day with current Rose, so that's why you might not remember him in the movie. He doesn't do much.
