Bought all of their LPs. Sum 41 is fucking rock! All of their albums are awesome and they are so good live, their music fits me the most and I really love Deryck's style! :)

However, if you listen to Sum 41's records, at least in my opinion, the bass is their to lift up the guitars, and surely, if you were a sound engineer, you'd try and make the live sound come as close to the record as possible, no? :)
i think that for songs like the hell song or still waiting the bass is essential because are songs influenced by hard rock and metal (dont judge me too quickly, here is higher than what i mean)
I actually LOVE the way they tuned their guitars for such a gritty sound during 2011 Screaming Bloody Murder era. These times look hard-core rock but also really bad for Deryck due to his personal problems that almost killed him. Glad hes well now - what a goddamn badass Deryck Whibley is!
They have literally done a performance of a sped up version of how you remind me by nickelback... I guess Chad Kroger didn’t appreciate them being more punk than him, and he subsequently stole Derrick’s wife later on!
