I’ve been extremely happy with my Gen1 2AT. It’s been a fantastic car, has not been pampered and takes everything in its stride. This looks a brilliant replacement.
I don't have a family but I'd actually choose this over a hatchback just because it's practical and spacious with almost the same exterior dimensions as a hatchback.
Matt. Agree! 100% improvement over previous 2 Series Active. [Which, lets be honest, not BMW's finest moment!] And yes as you say the new BMW design language to follow in 22/23 models is a positive. A small volume seeler but for a young, ''active'' family makes sense. More so than many 'lifestyle' mini [so=called] SUVs. Again brilliant spec [not sure about the interior colour over time] and exterior colour. Stay safe and thank you. A bit of normality....
It's bizarre in Belgium we have 225e xDrive Active Tourer (PHEV), 218i, 220i, 223i, 223i X drive, 218d and 223d. Strange you don't have the same range in the UK
I have the current shape 218 AT, its been a great road trip vehicle for 4. This update looks very sexy, and the fact you get the new interior and idrive, means i would take this over the X1 for sure.
Great video! Can I check what colour that was? Thinking it must be storm grey bite it looks more blue than any storm grey I’ve seen? Really looks good in that colour !
Nice car but trawling the internet…BMW nationwide appear to only have the 218 M Sport currently in stock on delivery miles (Jan 2023)….why would you spec up the smallest engined car to M-Sport? I’d be looking at the 220 petrol which is a respectable 170 hp, 0-60 in 8.1 seconds.
