Well played lebrun brothers. You gave a tough time to the World # 1 & 2 combo.
and lets not forget FZD und WCQ have the big advantage of beeing right+left handed double which the french bros have not ;-)
@@Blackain66 but they had siblings advantage instead ;)
Amazing performance. The brothers hung in there very well. Thrilled to see what's coming from them in the future ...
Good match, it took the brothers a couple of games to adjust and almost won. Congrats to Fan and Chuquin on the great tactical play!
Gotta love the Lebrun brothers.
Such a great combination of energy, talent and balls!
They gave 2 very best in the world a run foe their money.
Looking forward to seeing more from these 2.
What a match!
Ótimo jogo! Parabéns aos irmãos Lebrun, a dupla Chinesa é fantástica!
Wonderful game from the Lebrun brothers, tremendous growth and improvement. If they continue at this rate, they would be an unstoppable force in the doubles event.
This match deserves to be the Final... After Lebrun Brothers 16 and 19 years old, the future is for them...
super match des Lebrun family.Vous pouvez y arriver Alexis a déjà battu FZD
Wang Chuqin opened God mode on 2-2 and 7-6. Brilliant in every way. Cngrts Lebruns. I supperted you and you were so close to win but your opponents are wr 1 and 2 also they have left hand combo.
Wang chuqin almost single handedly won this match, fan zendong made too many unforced errors leading to the lebruns come back, then as you said, wang had to go into god mode to recover the match
Wang Chuqin hide his serve in the last set, not fair
@@anuragsaha145 yea sure fan made too many mistakes I thing Wang was at some point asking himself what's wrong with fan today😂😂😂
Very good games, all played at a very high level.
Wang Chuquin Is the real boss! The brothers are compelety fearless!
Lebrun brothers really did a good job to one right, one left handed world 1-2 combos
A finals worthy match
They almost did it in spite of their double right hand handicap!
Wow... they almost had it. The nerves must have been insane to be up on the best 2 in the world in game 5. Just crazy.
True. With French players, it always "almost" ...., but ...
Great camera angle
first view
this has got to be one of the best doubles matches against china
whoa
You are great W.Chugin 🏓🏓
Geez those boys are hella exciting to watch.
You are great Fanzhendong 🏓🏓
wow, the speed!!! i suppose with the lebrun's, the chinese players could really open up! it was impressive! very impressive. PENHOLD IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!!!!
6:29 watch on 0.25 speed, FZD choed after Alexis hit the ball. End of hindrance discussion.
Is that a problem??
@@rodrigoangelo488 yeah it costs a point
@@rodrigoangelo488 Lebrun brothers complained about it rigorously during the match.
@@unpingouinsurlabanquise4574 I see. I didn't know it was a rule
@@wayne0316 rightfully so
That sloppy play almost made them loose the match.
I really like the Lebrun's spirit. They keep fighting to the end.
7:56 How do I have to See this gesture? Congratulatuing for a good serve or maybe complaining that he didnt see contact point bc it was hidden?
The Lebruns are a coming..............We may have just witnessed the finals.
Funny that the Lebrun- Brothers are possibly the highest level european players in terms of pure offense! Their barage of topspins from both corners fh and bh is impressive! Yet, they cant flick and did never attack a half long push in 5 sets. This amazes me truly!
What does the rule say ( if there is one ) ? Are you allowed to "chole"/speak before a point is finished ? It happened during the 2nd point of the fifth set .. FZD did it
That mistake from the referee is unacceptable... its obvious you lost the point if you yell during the point before it end i hope there will be a claim, what if the rules does not apply for everyone? Imagine Harimoto yelling non stop until he wins?
Fzd thought he hit a good shot which is away from the reach of Alexis and he won thought he won the point. He just didn't know that Alexis was able to touch the ball so towards the end of the cho, you can hear him soften up a bit because it would be awkward if he won the he didn't win the point but choed. There is definitely no such rule that says you cannot cho before the point won. Plus, it wasn't even and intentionally cho. Felix is just trying to find any sorts of excuses to get a point if not they will be 0-2 down in the fifth. I am glad that FZD not only didn't get affected by this and choed EVEN louder after. Bravo!
@@starking1187 Mate of course there is a rule that says you cannot cho or make noise in general before the end of the point!
@@starking1187 There is a rule about that you can´t shout during ralleys. If you comments about thing like this, plz make sure you right.
@@starking1187 there is obviously such a rule, maybe it was a long shot from Felix to claim it tho but chill dude they are 19 and 16yo, up against world number 1 and 2 righty/lefty aka the best possible pair at the moment, in a nail biting match, of course you gotta loose some temper , especially when the wang chuqin did hide one of his shovel serves at 9/7 in the fifth , that’s what Alexis is complaining about there and clapping towards wang chuqin « great sportsmanship man ». China will do everything to remain dominant including cheating but no one cares because they’re the best right ? 😂
I would want to see a match between Wang chuqin and the Lebrun
What a match😬😬
First of all I would like to point out that what I am about to say does not change the undeniable talent of the two Chinese players, however, on the last set, we can clearly see two or three unacceptable things (as a referee even at a lower level, on the first serve it's a warning and on the second, I ask to serve again) We can see that the ball is hidden by Chuqin's chest around 8 minutes, Fan speaks during a decisive point and distracts Alexis.
The result of the match may have been the same, but frankly it's sad to see such a wobbly aberration at this level of the competition and a questionable fairplay on the part of the Chinese.
Not to mention the fact that the live transmission was cut in the middle of my country by the WTT and coincidentally I'm French, but hey, I think it's a coincidence. :)
Honestly, this happens very often esp. in doubles. Do you remember Xu Xin serving in critical situations? He always hid the tossed ball with his head and shoulder. But it's Xuperman? What umpire would dare penalizing it eps. in the final game. So did Ma Long. But he is the GOAT.
Still complaining like Trump??????
@@thabom9791 Entry-level table tennis referee, that's all.
The Lebrun guy plays well
@07:55 was A. Lebrun complaining or did he acknowledge the quality of the serve by chuqin?
Se estaba quejando porque escondió el servicio
It rather looks like he complained about hiding the ball by WCQ. And to be honest, that was really the case.
he complained because FZD was shouted and the point wasn't finished
The ball toss was not vertical
A. Lebrun and WCQ serves are very similar
I can not count how many points went in vain due to FZD faults. The match could have been over at game 3.
We really like the competition getting more serious. But we can't find the any reasons for the complaints about over celebration nor illegal services.
Which round is this? Certainly not ms r64.
Who is E.Lebrun?
Its F.Lebrun right?
Lebrun brothers.... the future.
The second last serve, Alexis gave a thumb to Wang's serve. Was that supposed to be sarcastic? Some ppl think Wang's hook serve is illegal
A bit hidden

Fan y wang juegan a otro nivel
They can. Alexis won against FZD a month ago
Damnnn...they could be the runner-up...it is the luck of the draw.
6:28 FZD who scream before the point is over. The referee has to replay the point at least.....
7:55 What happened ?
The ball should be tossed vertically up . WCQ tossed it sideways plus hidden service
point was finished... they just saw the curve of the ball going into the net...
6:29 Play it at 0.25 speed, FZD choed after Alexis hit the ball. You don’t have to wait for the ball to hit the ground or into the net to be able to tell the point is over. However the case, FZD did not interfere Alexis hitting.
Lebrun Brothers are very good players... but luck too... edges and nets
So much fair play from the two chinese players
Not really in 2 last sets
Really? Always slow the pace between points, hidden serves, scream during point...

How much backhand power do you want?
Chinese national team: how about pairing up Wang Chuqin and Fan Zhendong?
strong performance from the Lebrun brothers..its not really interesting to put the 2 best players of te world together..
It shows how much the Chinese want to win this one and how much of an upset this could have been.
6:14 watch in 0.25 inhuman reaction and anticipation
👍👍
Glad to see brothers lost, they are so anoying.
Why ? Chinese playing is annoying too. Great rallies in this match.
fzd didnt play well, so many unforced errors... wang carried this game hard
Always liked the game of the Lebrun bros, but they should totally learn some manner just like truls Moregard.
This is a gentleman’s competition.
I just don't see anyone beating Fan/Wang!
If you see the long rallies, lebrun brothers were better.
Nice servs, nice referes just ashamed
The brothers have bad sportmanship. Using dirty tactics and complaining without reasons just to intimidate their competitors.
Now The West will worship Lebrun brothers 😂
Shakehand and penhold can never play tog...
6:29 what did the french kid babbling about? It's clearly they lost that point...
If you just watch this clip you miss alot. For ex when the Lebrun brothers once again rushing their opponent with their serves.
Rushing? They took the same time as always, FZD and WCQ started taking more time than usual (and more time than is allowed - the server dictates the pace of serving).
@@AusbilderMike "the server dictates the pace of serving)." If so why does the umpire rasie her hand?
@@CMCMTTTV it doesn't matter since they can raise their hand honestly.
@@Spacevet The question is where can one find that rule lol
@@Spacevet Because if that's the case you can always instead run to the table after the point is finished and just serve without caring about the player on the other side
Goodbye Lebrun brothers! You really should learn how to behave yourselves before learning to play table tennis😂
Jealousy...
@@arnaudnono3383 we have so many world champions here in China, who's jealous?
@@Homme10-g8p I know that but saying "before learning to play table tennis" is so disrespectful for this young french player and his work. Not a very fair play and honest comment.
06:28 not sure what Felix complains about at the end of the point
FZD shouted while the point was still ongoing.
Pretty amazing the umpire didn't call that a foul, as it was blatant.
@@ZeAldhyrSame happened at the Dima vs stoyanov Match.
Fzd too many errors
Cheater China Wang Chuqin's serves false at the end
Nothing wrong with the serve, you are biased.
Ah again, blaming serves when you are about to lose. Truls moregard did it. Now Alexis. Not surprised though. Both Moregard and Alexis are great friends and probably learned from each other.
@@sojarvoglarcrt4602 Nah, the arbiter was in tough spot because un the fifth it's harder to implement those rule, especially at the end but WCQ clearly contact the ball behind his head. I mean fair-play or not it's normal to play by the limit or even cross them. I mean I don't think the Lebrun were particulary fair-play either or anything, but let's not be naïve
Make sure you are more professional and in a better viewing position to judge the serve than the referee, before you make such a comment.
@@starking1187 About to lose? What the heck are u talking about? WCQ and XX tend to hide the toss in critical situations. But no umpire would penalize it in the final game. So they always go away with that.
China, like majority of Asians play fair only when winning ,When things getting complicated differend mode kicks in .Who watch the sport for a long time will know what I am talking about .Shame on you fzd for not admitting your faulty behavior on 1:0 in the fifth.Respect is build for years and can be destroyed in 1 second .That was the time when one should raise the hand and say sorry, but not you Fzd .I hope public will not forget about that and give you nice worm welcome on every event you play .
the first statement is just purely racist.
