Hey, it's Robert Wilson, Pensacola's #1 Real Estate agent, and in this video, I'm diving deep into my personal experience moving here six years ago. Discover the three key aspects that immediately caught my attention about moving to Pensacola and living in this amazing city.
🏘️ Moving to Pensacola Florida: Eclectic Zoning Explained: When I first made the move, one of the top things that struck me about Pensacola was its unique and eclectic zoning. Join me as I share my journey exploring the city, where commercial and residential spaces blend seamlessly. Unlike the more spread-out areas I grew up in, Pensacola's neighborhoods often feature a mix of both, making it a distinctive experience for anyone moving to Pensacola.
🏠 Living in Pensacola Florida: No Distinct Upper Class Side of Town: Pensacola breaks the mold when it comes to traditional city layouts. Join me on a virtual tour as we discuss how there isn't a distinct upper-class side of town. From my initial observations six years ago to recent changes, Pensacola's blue-collar and middle-class vibe permeates various areas, challenging the typical city structure. Discover the evolving landscape if you're considering living in Pensacola.
🌴 Moving to Pensacola Florida: Embracing the Laid-Back Lifestyle: Another standout aspect of living in Pensacola is the laid-back and casual lifestyle. Even after six years, it's something that continues to impress me. Join me as we explore the relaxed atmosphere-from trips to the gas station to casual outings. Is it the "salt life" vibe or something else that makes Pensacola unique? Find out as I delve into the city's charm, perfect for those considering moving to Pensacola.

I lived in Houston about 40 years ago. Talk about a lack of zoning!

Welcome to living in a city. Various land uses next to or close to each other are the norm in urban settings.

Your perceptions are interesting to me who is closer to 70 than 60. I’m not saying that you have nothing to offer someone my age, I am always interested in the viewpoints of someone who is younger than me who I consider to be very intelligent. Thanks for your videos.

I'm not a native Florida man either. My mom moved me, my older brother, and younger sister down here in 2010.

Glad I’m not the only one who noticed those things lol! I started spearfishing down there a few years and I keep thinking that maybe I just haven’t seen the “nice” side of Pensacola.
Love the area but it does have a “dumpy” feel. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

I grew up in Pensacola, whole family lives there still, but I moved away simply because the biggest con imo is the lack of opportunity. It’s hard to start from the bottom there. Where I live now is so much easier to get entry level jobs that pay pretty well. Pensacola seems to be stuck in 2004 but the prices are very 2024. Im definitely going to move back because there are so many pros to the city but it’s so much easier when you already have a career with some experience, the emergence of navy federal has helped the city a lot in that respect but if you move there with the intention of getting some retail job and working up from there then good luck lol idk how you survive on your own that way.
