I'd suggest fabbing up a cover for that wideband gauge display. To me that is a super annoying gauge to have visible at nighttime due to the way it is always swinging around with every change in throttle position. Other than that, looks awesome! Get that engine all broken in and tuned!
The horns themself are often similar, what changes the tone is the bracket (and its vibration)! So if you need a different sound, just modify the bracket!
this has been an awesome series, can't wait to see it on the dyno! i do feel bad for that intercooler though it's hiding so much of itself behind that bumper. oh well, not a big deal for a DD ;D
Those horns are very sensitive to what you mount them to. You can tweak the tone by lengthening or shortening the mounting bracket. And interestingly they dont work at all if you remove that flat bracket.
I had to binge watch this...i was great. I watched the engine all the way to the end. Are you guys ever going to do a FA20 engine build? Did you guys sell this car?
You should have just left it with the low tone horn only. The lower diamond screen will match in color after some miles. The coating will get weathered and lightened in color.
"The cigarette ...... No wait, that's from the 80's!" LOL Just like hearing my dad working on his car back in the 80's.. "Where's the darn cigarette lighter fuse.." Slick install. Love the size of the gauge itself. Drop the canards. they look cheesy. Better with the ostrich fence. :P :)
What a build man, so nice. With the canards, I don't know, I don't feel it man, the fit isn't quite right there, it looks a bit off. Get the right ones or leave it as it is.
i have the same wrx, I put red vinyl over my tail lights and I think it looks a lot better, I hated the clear tail lights, only 19 dollars which is crazy considering how expensive mods are for the car
So the single avcs ej207 engine you guys built runs on the ej257 manifold minus the exhaust avcs and the 3 pin intake cam sensor adjustment ? Youve all done a great job by the way !
Can Dave pick up Pete and take him into work, and then Pete drop off Dave when he goes home? That way you can alternate using it as your daily driver? Also, I suggest you rename it the "Pig STI" with matching plates.
Great job done, but mixed feelings on details- you spent a lot of dime on engine, brakes which is perfect, but front bumper cover with terrible cheap looking mesh grille or you put extra gauge but tighten with simple bracket?? You took wheel of and there still we can see roost on the front wing. If you do then for 100%
I don't know I kinda like to monitor my A/F's on the regular but I guess if you got the granny tune in it's not something to worry about :P Glad you didn't throw it in the glovebox.
Why not just remove the stock mesh from the top of the bumper and swap it to match the bottom piece you made? Looked like you should have enough of that material, no?
Gotta say I’m not a fan of that Crawford front mount. First they didn’t supply a long enough coupler and now the cold side of the intercooler piping is centimeters from the header. Probably isn’t the best for intake air temp. Just my 2 cents
Zip ties, wow, its was all class till then, good work on the rest of the project, pretty well done, but dailying it knowing zip ties are holding my car together really spoils the experience, perfection for an STI is a right, not a choice. also don’t add the side diffusers, keep it classy, jmo. 🤙
Gets a wideband sensor and says it's unimportant to look at and less tuning..... So I guess it would be pointless to know if your car is leaning out or too rich while driving I guess
Israel Cardona it will be wired into the Cobb unit so we’ll have the display there which is why we originally thought about the glove box but I totally get it we worded it like its not that important to vitals AFR and it is at all times.
I love this build. Definitely one of my favorite Sti builds. Makes me want to get a hatch
Way to bring the STI back to life! Makes me wish I would have bought a hatch instead of a sedan.

Just swap to the 11-14 front bumper solves 2 problems at once
imo the 08-10 looks a lot better!
I vote no on the bumper canards
this has been an awesome series, can't wait to see it on the dyno! i do feel bad for that intercooler though it's hiding so much of itself behind that bumper. oh well, not a big deal for a DD ;D
The vape gun 3000! This product is included with all Sti's
on the backside of the horn is a tone tune screw so you can adjust the sound
Stop arguing, it‘s clearly my daily driver!
yea no canards gives more of a clean look and by the way this sti is perfect u guys do amazing work thank u

Poor old Peter looks so tired installing the wide-band gauge?
That new baby life.
Looking forward for the build cost video.
I'm biased, but this has been my favorite build to watch! Can't wait to see (and hear) this on the road once tuned!
I had to binge watch this...i was great. I watched the engine all the way to the end. Are you guys ever going to do a FA20 engine build? Did you guys sell this car?
What a build this has turned out to be. Love it!
Look into the SMY dual gauge cluster... Pretty common placement for gauges on the GV chassis. Looks incredibly clean and doesn't get in the way.
such an awesome build. Cant wait to see it perform on the dyno!
Those India made Hella Sharptone horns sound very BMW on my Yaris.

That made me lol a bit too. I have a late 80s car. Not a single cup holder anywhere but it has a cigarette lighter and ash tray.

Awesome work bringing it back to life.

You should also repaint the mesh on the top
I hope you guys make 600 ponies!! I think the opening in the bumper looks good! No mesh!
So the single avcs ej207 engine you guys built runs on the ej257 manifold minus the exhaust avcs and the 3 pin intake cam sensor adjustment
? Youve all done a great job by the way !
ARM WRESTLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!!!! AAAAARRRRGGGGGGG!!!💪💥💪💥💪💥💪

Am I the only one who would like to actually SEE this car on the track???
I vote you don't put those canards on. They look silly on anything that isn't a drift or time attack car.
Noooo put wide band off the fuel pump relay for longevity and use sensor ground for the ecu so you don’t have voltage offset problem
I think the subtle/stock look is better without the canards.
Paint looks great for what the car has been through!
Gents, car looks great, im loving that front lip, where did you get it???
You guys should bring it to the Subaru Hypermeet!
I'm all for verus parts!
damn you guys make me want an STI hatch so damn bad, but is it really complete? a racer is never complete!
Dre's Racing Channel My wife had a red 08 sti. But we never modded it. Ran out of steam on the higher rpm range.
p3 from subispeed has that gauge on airvents but its a bit pricey.
Great job done, but mixed feelings on details- you spent a lot of dime on engine, brakes which is perfect, but front bumper cover with terrible cheap looking mesh grille
or you put extra gauge but tighten with simple bracket?? You took wheel of and there still we can see roost on the front wing. If you do then for 100%
Here is a twist, it will come down to Ken and Moose battling it out for daily driving rights
Fan of your camo cap!
Gotta see a sound board and make a "la cucharacha" horn button
Can't wait 'til you guys to rip it at TMP!
Millennials: you mean the vape charger right bro?
Love you Pete but I hope Dave wins the battle for the daily
God I cannot wait to see this on the Dyno!
Best lap time gets to daily it. Best out of 3 laps.
Nice awesome job guys.
I don't know I kinda like to monitor my A/F's on the regular but I guess if you got the granny tune in it's not something to worry about :P Glad you didn't throw it in the glovebox.
When are you putting up a poll to figure out when Dave is getting the car as a daily?
Why not just remove the stock mesh from the top of the bumper and swap it to match the bottom piece you made? Looked like you should have enough of that material, no?
So whoever clocks the fastest lap gets to daily it?
Gotta say I’m not a fan of that Crawford front mount. First they didn’t supply a long enough coupler and now the cold side of the intercooler piping is centimeters from the header. Probably isn’t the best for intake air temp. Just my 2 cents
It's a cosworth kit, and it was never designed around the tomei header setup which takes much more room than the standard manifolds.
Zip ties, wow, its was all class till then, good work on the rest of the project, pretty well done, but dailying it knowing zip ties are holding my car together really spoils the experience, perfection for an STI is a right, not a choice. also don’t add the side diffusers, keep it classy, jmo. 🤙
I still call those cigarette lighters lol
Nice!!
god damn what a beauty
Looks great
Buy an 11 STI to mount the Canards to. The only option.
Yeah, baaaaby it sounds like them 4x12 Marshall stacks.🤣🤣
Realistically this is more of a Dave kind of daily ;)
"That stereophonic experience" LOLOLOL
Can we just all agree on the Cosworth intercooler kit just being absolutely garbage? Nothing but problems!
5:54 LETS GO BLUES?
Twin yellow Turbskis. Lol
most interesting parts in this project is the HORN
Seriously would love to own this. Would it be for sale possibly?
never settle for good enough
What colour is this? It’s like a mix of dgm and plasma blue?
When is the celica getting painted!
Why run the wideband on the midpipe?? That has to be installed on the downpipe
Connie, Connie, CONNIE, can you hear me. Where are you!!!!!!
you guys need to go on track and let the fastest driver use the car as a daily driver
Tape em on, blow some smoke at it. Have fun and make an experiment. I don't know lol.
Mask and paint the top mesh to match. No canards.
Put a separate relay on that horn
Is this car for sale on Titanium?
I’m so confused about why the afr is being put in the secondary o2 instead of the primary O2. Can anyone provide more information?
Must've messed with the attachment bar...if you tighten or loosen it adjusts the sound. Bwahahahaha
All it needs a sticker “Built Not Bought”
i know um not alone.........i dont even have a car but still watch subaru videos lol
Does the bumper re-bar bolt to the intercooler?
I need this build :"(
Hell no
power probe is the original and a lot better IMO
Not enough Brappppp! Actualy, no Brapppp at all....
Bumper canards are for hot bois! You're better than that, you're hot men, not hot bois.
Hey guys can I ask why you wired the o2 sensor so far down the exhaust ??
Bigmat Tolly you dont want it too close to the turbo and thats where Full Race puts the bung 🙂
NO!
Next video. Why we sold the sti...
Light bar (curved) in that bumper slot for spirited nite time driving.
Use glue or 110 Adhesive to hold on the mash on the bumper
"Mash".... LuLz Yeah, do what this genius says, and just epoxy the shit out of everything.
Cool build but I bet you could’ve bought a new sti for what you spent on it...
Love these guys, the non gay kind.
😂
Not behd!
Come work on mine lol ITS a smokin
Fascia not bumper
