Yes...not 'was' as in 'isn't anymore', just that I had just finished watching it. Like with a good dessert. : ) After it's eaten you'd usually say 'that was the best' not 'that is the best'. And it would be the best again next time you have it. ; ) So then you can say 'is' while enjoying it, again! : p
