Hey Phly! About 3 years ago you made a video about the AMX-30B2 BRENUS and how it was one of the worst MBTs in the game. Well today the BRENUS has had quite a glow up, as it now boasts a pretty nice array of tools at the comfortable BR of 8.3, such as thermals, a laser rangefinder, IRCM, and a pretty nice lineup to back it up. So I encourage you to take a look at this underappreciated vehicle again (day 25)

Day 60, probably: Take the Scimitar, the last Supermarine, out for a spin. Quad 30mm, 24 chances to find out if British AP rockets actually do anything, bombs, missiles, dual Rolls Royce Avons for beefy transonic performance. Why not pair it with the Scimitar scout tank for... wait, that's not in the game yet.
World of Tanks does this too, in fairness.
Oh sure. Overall War Thunder is better about 'vehicle had to physically exist' to be in game but it does let some extreme oddities in. This just happens to be one of them.
Also it seems to handle like a perfectly civilised if slow tank. It... shouldn't. But terrible driving tanks aren't fun to play unless you're a 1.0 BR French masochist.
Well, they're not saying it's completely different tanks. There are many almost same tanks in most tech trees with different designations - PZ F2 and G, Panther A and G, I don't even start with Shermans and T-34s
Back to t28 and 95, it looks different, it performs different in traverse and overall mobility, that's already more differences than others I mentioned
There are premiums that are literal counterparts of tech tree examples, this is no exception

imagine if the VFW was split into 2 different vehicles, side skirts up and down
the extra tracks never came off but for transportation, so calling one a different name is incorrect, and it's in a form that I'd never be in
Technically the T28 model is a very slightly different tank. There are a few minor differences like the gun mantlete and engine deck at the rear. A few things that got changed at the various stages of design and tests/trials.
If you watch the video at x1.75, the T28 actually have a pretty decent mobility.
Doom turtle is actually just a very heavily armoured AA with a secondary 105mm gun.
Day 141: Phly, you should play the Hawk III Chinese fighter; 900lbs of bombs in a biplane at 1.0 that you can dogfight in after dropping. Totally balanced.

Lol it is balanced xD when I test flew it the landing gear took a full minute to retract. It was faster to belly land the thing rather than wait for the landing gear to come down

Remembered this time where I had a bit of a challenge to get kills at 5.3, with one of the early Panzer 3s with the mediocre 50mm. Found an M18 and thought I was gonna have a great time then one of these popped up and got in front of the M18

With the T-28 its all about rapid movements. Ducking and waving. It helps if you move you head around too as it looks like you're moving faster.
Day 1: Phly, you and your friends should do a high tier AA battery with rockets or something. The scatter tactics when enemies drop bombs are hilarious.
The funnest thing about heavy tanks is that they can survive direct hits from bombs and artillery.

Phly, if you want to be a more effective anti air in vehicles like that, use the y key options to select the machine gun. Than your main gun won't move, and it shows you the reload.
I never knew you could do that.
Don't forget to set a key to : "reset weaponry selection" or something like that, so you don't get stuck in Machine gun view :)

@@Zorro9129 Yeah, just make sure you can quickly switch back to the main gun so if an enemy appears in front you can shoot faster.

I think one of the only tanks that can pen the T28/95 without chemical rounds is the Tiger II 10.5cm with apcr within 300m

The only a way to take out a T28/T95 is with an arty. Both those tank destroyers have thicker front armor. Their rear armor is the thinnest.
I once dropped a 600 kilo bomb directly underneath the center of an IS3 and it didn't die. It was literally laying on top of it.

Idk about other bombs, if it's affecting all or just the Arado bombs, but I've too noticed an increase in very... strange bomb behaviours in the Arado. Tanks that survived direct hits, open top vehicles that are inside a 10m radius that don't get damaged at all, stuff like that. Can someone let me know if they've noticed something like that with other bombers/bombs as well?
I have on certain planes..... All ones Phly did videos on how "Great" (read Op to some players), they are. Examples I've noticed huge diff on. Most of these nerfs I've noticed since "ground breaking".
Yak-3B. The 4 bombs it gets got nerfed for SURE. I used to get about 2.7 ground target kills avg in that thing. Now I'm lucky to get 1 or 2. I've watched a bomb land within a meter of a Pz 4s tracks, and only track it and damage vision devices. Before "GB" it would have obliterated the PZ 4. Also the bomnbs CANNOT kill M6's, they used to kill them so long as within 2-3m, but now I score direct hits and only damage modules.
Pe-8 5000Kg I can't quite gauge how this should be since I unlocked it when the "earthquake glitch" happened, and I'm so used to obliterating everything in a 50m radius, even things behind hills.... It doesn't do that now, and pretty much has a 30m kill radius, anything beyond that is only getting critted, or tracked.
Ju-88. The Ju-88 had an amazzzzing payload for it's tied, and I used to get about 3-4 kills on average since it gets so many bombs.... The 4 500lb bombs are still good, and kill M6's and Churchills, but the smaller bombs can barely kill Puma's and other light armor now. You need direct hits with them and to set bomb series to 4 (which ruins the larger bombs multi-kill capability).
NC 222/223. These french bombers not only got their bombs nerfed to fk. But they also nerfed their stability, energy retention, and wing G-force resistance. The things break apart in turns very easily now, and the massive payload it has feels like the one on the Ju-88 in terms of "BOOM", yet its half as maneuverable, and is supposed to have 3x as many bombs. I've gotten direct carpets of bombs within 2-3m of a couple shermans, and T-34s, and i don't even get crits. Just track damage... It's sad.
I’m not complaining those bastards are in all my 7.7 battles.

the cupola on this thing is its biggest weakness if you cant pen it, this includes the STRV 103.
That .50 will save your butt a lot. I use it to track jerries when they think they’re going to barrel me and get around.

I think if Philly goes back and looks at the video he will see the bomb passed just over him to the right. He was firing the M2HB at it and you can see it pass over. Then he panned out and there was a large 'rock' to his right. I think the bomb hit on the other side of that rock against the rock on the far side and that protected his SP from the blast. It wasn't a direct hit. The blast did damage his barrel.

You know ive been noticeing this while playing the tiger. I had a su twin engine heavy fighter whatever the hell bomb me with that i think was 4 250s or a mix of 3 250s and a 500 or somthing. Either way both land besides me on two different runs and dont kill me. Which just left me super confused

I'd guess the Ar bomb that landed in front of you but didn't kill you was cuz of the 300mm of armor and it was just slightly far enough away to not kill the tank lol

I've also noticed that only Russian players tend to try to try to push people into enemy fire for whatever reason. It's not a recent thing, but that's what that guy was trying to do to that Tiger.

Phly just a tip, you can assign your mg so that the main cannon doesn't follow it, useful if you're holding a corner and you want to use your mounter mg to kill a plane. (The mg also gets a sight)
nah he knows it i bet, it's just that it's annoying to switch back and forth, cos maybe there's a guy in front of you and you need to reaxt
@@Davidee_631 Not really, you can just assign a key to sync back the mg with the main gun and that's it, way better than turning your turret then next thing you know there's a tank in front of you
@@112mirai i always do that, but never if i'm in open spaces, i won't go to the mg, might depend where your reset key is, cos i have the dot, so i can't go all the way to the other side of the keyboard to reset, i'd be already ded
