Meet Jerome Foster II, a passionate climate activist and the youngest-ever White House adviser dedicated to addressing environmental justice. Through his role on the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council, Jerome Foster II works tirelessly to combat climate change and advocate for equitable solutions.
As a leading Gen Z voice, Jerome Foster II emphasizes the urgency of the climate crisis. With a ticking time bomb in the back of every Gen Z individual's mind, he highlights the need for immediate action to avert critical tipping points within the next seven years.
Jerome Foster II's journey began with a deep curiosity about astrophysics and the possibilities of the future. However, his focus shifted when he realized the pressing issues plaguing Earth and the importance of creating a sustainable world for current and future generations.
Having witnessed the power of policy firsthand, Jerome Foster II fought for progressive decarbonation legislation in Washington D.C., leading to significant sustainability advancements in the city. His commitment to youth engagement led to the founding of One Million of Us, a mobilization campaign aimed at registering and activating 1 million young voters.
As the first and only Gen Z representative on the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council, Jerome Foster II plays a pivotal role in overseeing federal agencies and programs, ensuring environmental justice concerns are prioritized. His advocacy extends to communities facing environmental injustices in Kern County, California, and 'Cancer Alley' in Louisiana.
Jerome Foster II recognizes the intersectionality of the climate crisis, affecting vulnerable communities and exacerbating social and environmental inequalities. By amplifying the voices of marginalized groups, he strives to dismantle systemic barriers and ignite meaningful change.
Motivated by the Earth uprising movement, Jerome Foster II collaborates with young people worldwide to confront the crisis head-on. Together, they leverage their collective power to transform the system and create a sustainable future.
By raising awareness and advocating for change, Jerome Foster II exemplifies the power of youth-driven activism in addressing the climate crisis and promoting environmental justice.

All activism and no organisation at the end of it. Organising protests and painting signs does not mean you can run a government. It's just anarchy. Backwards. Gen z just live on their phones anyway.

"The 2nd" screams bourgeois ? What's the story there ?

The story here is that he represents the third generation in his family who bears the name: His grandfather (Sr.), his father (Jr.) and himself. He bears the name proudly and no doubt will pass it on to his own son. Nothing bourgeois about it, just pride in his ancestry.

I’m really not trying to seem snarky here but isn’t it still fairly common to pass a name down multiple generations?? This is just how people count past Jr.
