Facom tools are French.....Great quality. The 117B is about $100 new in US... and yes the spanner and those pins are with it.

Oh my. Sure would've been neat to have one of the Facom spanner wrenches in the 90's +. We put spacers in 100's of hyd. cylinders and were stuck using a pipe wrench. Embarrassing to me.
Excellent sale and a fun video!
      Tools are pure drool.
Haha! I wouldve given $5 just for the band aid box from our youth! You got bunuses.

My wife and I go to garage sales nearly every weekend, as well as estate sales. I shop for tools, she shops for vintage pottery and glass. Both of us have far more of both then we ever will need, and both my garage and our house are over flowing. But, it’s the thrill of the hunt that keeps us going. We’re both in our late sixties and I want to spend the time we have left doing things we both love.

Mr Pete ; The adj. spanners I believe were made by Williams and branded Blue Point . The c412 bag was just a universal for many different tools Snap on sold . I was a Snap on dealer for almost 30 years , now retired for close to 20 yrs. Many , many thanks for the fine videos and the priceless education !!!!! Please keep them coming .

I was told once that bluepoint was snap on made outside of the US. And I was told wrong.
I was a semi truck driver for a year. Being from the south and only driven in snow and ice once, I found myself in the heart of Chicago driving a 70-foot truck alone. What an experience. Thanks, Mr Pete!

Mr. Pete, Nice haul. The $5.00 spent on the Band-aid tin of indicators was well worth the price. You can say you paid for the tin box and got the indicators for free. There are tin Band-aid boxes on eBay right now listed for between $4.00- $15.00. Living in Florida, we don't see too many garage sales like the one you attended. What generally happens is the person having the sale had moved to Florida years ago and sold everything before the move. Then if they need a tool after they arrive, they headed to Harbor Freight and picked up some piece of junk which sits in a box (after one use)getting rusty until the widow decides to have a garage sale. I've had luck at thrift stores but still you've got to wade through the Chinese stuff in order to fine something worth while. It's interesting to think of what will be on UA-cam in 60 years. "Antique Harbor Freight Hand Drill Restore" and someone will comment "I had one of those and they sure don't make them that good any more".

Good for you Mr. Pete. I actually got to go to one of those once in a lifetime estate tool sales a couple of years ago. I bought more than I should have and not nearly as much as I would liked to have. I can’t say that I need lathe mandrels from 1/4 inch to 2 inches in 1/16th increments but I have them. Along with so many other things that we rattled all the way back to the house.

nice, those Maher's operate in both directions without flipping a switch, most of the new test indicators do. Those FACOM's are top quality. I don't like their wrenches, they are boxy with square sides. But the pin spanner is a top quality item, VERY expensive. When I saw the title, I thought you were having a garage sale .. Glad you had a good haul.

Ahh, like opening King Tut's tomb, you find "things, wonderful things!" It is exciting when you see the markings like Starrett, Mitutoyo, Lufkin, Brown & Sharpe, and Moore & Wright.

That really is an incredible haul. Good find - those tools went to a good home! I wish I could attend the open day, but just started a new job so cannot get the time off - maybe next time!

Happy Father's Day! The number and quality of garage/estate sales around me have been really bad so far this year. I'm glad you're having good luck!

I assure you, that I will probably never see another great garage sale in my life. It is extremely rare.

I am looking forward to seeing the Mitutoyo Video. That looks like quite a selection of. promotional material. and tools.
I think it's a shame that they stopped selling Band-Aids in the little flip top cans or metal boxes, or whatever you choose to call them. They were just the handiest things for storing small parts.
Please keep making these videos. There are a lot of us out here that really enjoy them.

Good scores for your needs, I would have got the 1-2-3 blocks, planner gage, test and a dial indicator.... perhaps the magnetic Starrett indicator base.

It rained the night before, and the little wooden box with the blocks had water in the bottom. I can’t believe he did not have everything covered.

i’ve got a few Facom tools but mostly Snap-On. I love their hexagonal tube spanners, they look like short fat Allen keys in a dull chrome but they are tubular. just use like a socket with it’s own small handle. Really comfy to use.

Here in the UK, original French made Facom tools are quality. If you search for modern Craftsman V-series socket sets, you also get Facom socket sets in the same boxes. You also get Sidchrome sets in Australia and NZ. Looks like they come out the same factory. Modern Facom and Britool also share the same tools under the Expert range name. The parent company for modern Craftsman, Facom, Sidchrome and Britool (along with Proto and Mac) is Stanley Black and Decker so no surprise it's the same tools under different names for different markets but like everything, original Craftsman, Facom and Britool tools when they were their own masters are superior in quality but having said that, they are still decent quality tools that many tradesmen use across here. When I was an apprentice my journeyman told me to never get sentimental with tools. They are to be used and replaced when worn out. Why struggle to do a job with a worn out tool just because you' ve had it a long time? Time is money. He did also say buy cheap, buy twice.

That was good advice from the journeyman

I am from Europe and facom is well known in Europe.
It's one off the best brands and they have really nice tools but are expensive.
I worked with that facom tool for years and it's great quality 👍
    My whole toolbox was facom

I am shocked that I have never heard of that brand. We never see European tools over here except perhaps some items from Germany.

I’m going to have dreams about that universal spaner wrench. I’m going to start taking my vacations up that way just to garage sale we don’t have those types of tools here in the southwest

I am kicking myself in the high end for not buying both of them. They were both brand new.
