Love the look of Charmouth. That 200 million year old fossil was massive! You wouldn't want that in the garden eating the flowers! Jenny is brilliant with her snippets of knowledge. I love little Poppy. She trots along in front of you so happy. She adorable ❤
Hi Both, Another fab vlog 👍 my goodness you both did some up hill Walking but Fab views from the top Myself personally I really did enjoy the history of the different Places you Visited thanks for sharing a lovely vlog a all the best enjoy the rest of your Motorhome Holiday Lin 👍❤️x
Great and entertaining vlog Bob and Jenny. Dorset is my home turf not the best place to visit on a busy day usually full of tourists. Loved the smallest roads you could have possibly taken into Lyme very entertaining. Glad your enjoying your Dorset trip.
Great effort even though it didn't go to plan, those roads looked so narrow we had a panic until we realised you were in the car 😂 looks a lovely place to visit but like you we prefer when less busy 👍😁
West Bay is not far from where your staying and is definitely worth visiting, It's absolutely stunning and is where a lot of the television series Broadchurch was filmed
Nice one Bob - shame the 'controls' on the sat-nav went bonkers. We went to Lyme Regis on the bus from Charmouth last September and I seem to remember the town centre only being a stone's throw along the main road from the point where you suddenly dived off down the narrow lanes! Yes, the Cob does take a bit of negotiating, particularly if it's windy. All in all, we thought Lyme was a lovely place, although not great for cars - we found a superb pub near the harbour which served delicious food.
ooo love Lyme Regis, there's a great fish and chip shop near the harbour/the Cobb, it's a bit artisan and really small The Fisherman's Wife I think it's called. Thanks for another great video, watched during my lunch break, always feel better afterwards and ready for the afternoon. Every time you were near the edge I had to stop myself yelling 'keep back' LOL
We love Charmouth and Lyme Regis but best out of season especially after a storm when the fossils are washed out of the cliffs. It was interesting to see some of the town that I had never seen before on the route taken by the satnav 😁
Can’t believe you got that close to that first bit of cliff , 😱 obviously not afraid of heights bob , we sat back in our chair 😂 another great vlog thanks for sharing 👍
Brilliant vlog, I definitely would have done a runner from Lyme Regis too. We drove through Abbotsbury a couple of years ago and said it was a place we'd like to visit so thanks for the head's up about the Abbey 😁
Pity the day didn't go to plan! The number of times I have been to Lyme Regis I didn't recognise any of your route! You ended up coming in the Western end! The town is where I go in and Park in the Car Park next to the Cop Shop! The town is always busy! If you get a chance go to Portland Heights on Portland! A fantastic view of Chesil Beach and the Fleet and can see Lyme Regis in the distance. Portland Dockyard was below you, There's parking up there! Don't miss Portland Bill of course!
Welcome to my part of the world, you’re only about 30 miles away. That was quite the most entertaining way into Lyme I’ve seen! I tend to avoid as you can see it’s usually jammed with Tourists and my car doesn’t fit in the parking bays. Wait until you see Weymouth if you’re going that way, that’s the only bit of sand for miles and you can’t often move anywhere down there!
Nice to see the sunshine Bob , don’t even bother about the negative wingers , if you met these people you would probably find they don’t get out much ! And even if they did I bet they are very dull people ! 😊👏🏻🇬🇧
Hi Bob & Jenny. Great vlog. We are at Highlands end in July, near Bridport. Going to do the Seaton tramway looks absolutely lovely. We promised ourselves we would never do Lyme Regis again and we haven't, horrible time driving and the amount of people. Thanks for letting us know about the Tramway. Stay safe. Pete & Su.
I twisted my ankle on The Cobb once! 😂 my ankle blew up like a balloon! Lyme will be rammed, come back after silly season, it’ll be a touch cooler but more spacial. Andy and Kim.
We are staying near Veryan , Cornwall for two weeks from Saturday in a cottage ! 🤦🏼♂️ I think it’s gonna be a bit busy ! And to cap it all some boy band called “ G7 Summit “ Are performing at St Ives ! 🤷🏼♂️ French lead singer called Emmanuel Smackron ! 😂🙋🏼♂️
This vlog made us properly belly laugh, your comments about “google find the narrowest roads” to finding the “abbey” were brilliant. Just love watching you three (Pops included in that). BUT Poppy please don’t go so close to the cliff edge, you made my toes curl!
Another great video thankyou. While you are there, West Bay is really nice to visit. It’s not far from Charmouth. I would visit in the week though and probably early because it can get quite busy. Cheers 👍
We had a seasonal pitch down there for years and love the places, beer, Bridport Seaton, loads of nice places, even nicer out of season just before Xmas, BTW, I think you need a new sat nav, really can't believe you didn't like Lyme Regis, you really didn't see it at its best, great video though. 👍
I think Henry made a good job of destroying that abbey, wonder why they left one wall?? Maybe because they knew that one day someone would make,a video tour of it🤪😎 Thanks guys
Hi Bob + Jenny+ Poppy of course, I have just subscribed to your channel have been following a little while now, like the way you give lots of info, I'm a camper myself but my partner keeps going on about getting a motorhome, it may be further down the line though, thanks for the vlogs you both do a cracking job 👊
I was almost shouting at the tv, not sure where the sat nav was sending you. Really felt sorry for you - all the narrow roads. We stop at Charmouth nearly every year, so visit Lyme Regis a lot. (We put on to reminiss! - so thank you for the video) If you could've turned left at the roundabout coming out of Charmouth, (Mightve been closed though) you just stop on that road all the way - down the hill, through the middle of the town and back up again to the farthest car park (if prefer). Just don't want anyone to be put off - it 'should' be easier. It is a bottleneck - but still my fav area! 😊
Good video but you should have gone to the Swannery which is brilliant. Loads of the history of the abbey there. When they used to farm the swans. Also hundreds of swans with babies. A sight to see.
Disappointed jenny didnt know exactly where chuck the 2nd ran away from.btw bob you would be lost without jenny.how many road signs do you miss lol.great vlog
Good on you! Keep up the good work! Offcorse Dear Henry was dipping his fingers and nose there too! Sow it is even here....but the name is Gustav Wasa! Tomorrow i must check wohom of these "gigants" was first. Have not the history in the head, only 1500 etc. And that Gustavs wifes died by natural things! Nice video! But huu! Still narrow streets/laines! But as I understand it , not mutch do at it, more then drive carefully!
Morning Bob n Jenny I have been to Lyme many times but you showed me parts that I’ve never encountered before 😀 I think you’re satnag was having a laugh! Still it made for interesting viewing. Enjoy the res of your trip 👍
Hi Bob and Jenny. Sorry to sound a bit critical but I think you need to broaden your research on some of the places you visit, an example is Abbotsbury where the main focus for the majority of visitors is the Swannery. I do realise that visiting the Swannery May not have been possible with Poppy. Sorry again if this sounds a bit negative but I assure you that I value your output and enjoy it greatly.
This video made us laugh!!! The Abbey turned out to be a wall...just one wall🤣
We couldn't believe it!
I know how you were feeling on the cob, my late husband an l ,walked along there, when we first visited
Hi Bob and jenny 👍just us 2 saying hi and thanks again 🤔 we all have them days 🤔 hope tomorrow is better for yous 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
We loved Charmouth, Lyme Regis brings back memories of driving round and round a car park for what seemed ages. 👍😀👍😀
Gosh that sea wall look precarious xx
Wouldn't want to be there in the middle of February!
Ha ha. Brilliant. The smiles at the end say it all. Great work walking the hill with pops 😊👌☕️
Love the look of Charmouth. That 200 million year old fossil was massive! You wouldn't want that in the garden eating the flowers! Jenny is brilliant with her snippets of knowledge. I love little Poppy. She trots along in front of you so happy. She adorable ❤
Hi Bob and Jenny and poppy been up that hill Bob I was knackered 😂😂
Me too!
Love every video. Thank you so much again. Keep them coming.
I love listening to Jenny’s historical commentary 😊 a head full of knowledge 🥰
Jenny is so good at reading up on local information and then passing it on to us. Thank you Jenny x
Loved that video. Just watched it while having breakfast. Starting the day with a smile.

Great and entertaining vlog Bob and Jenny. Dorset is my home turf not the best place to visit on a busy day usually full of tourists. Loved the smallest roads you could have possibly taken into Lyme very entertaining. Glad your enjoying your Dorset trip.
Great wee day out, you wouldn’t catch me walking that sea wall 😲 lol x
😆😆 that was comedy gold! Thank you. We had a similar experience last week with the sat nav in Brixham, thank heavens we were in our Up! As well 🤦🏻♂️
Great effort even though it didn't go to plan, those roads looked so narrow we had a panic until we realised you were in the car 😂 looks a lovely place to visit but like you we prefer when less busy 👍😁
Love it, laughed along for the whole vid. Well done you 3, great entertainment as always😄😄😄
West Bay is not far from where your staying and is definitely worth visiting, It's absolutely stunning and is where a lot of the television series Broadchurch was filmed
Good vlog, very funny .. I would not of walked on the sea wall, I was getting vertigo just watching it. Good video keep up the good work.
glad to see its not only me that has one of those days.
Nice one Bob keep em coming
Welcome to the narrow lanes of Devon and Dorset! X Good job you have the car! X
Nice one Bob - shame the 'controls' on the sat-nav went bonkers. Another relaxing, enjoyable video to watch looking forward to your next one
Oh bless you!! At least you were still smiling at the end 🙂 thanks for sharing x
This vlog made us chuckle as it’s so like our usual days out! Nothing goes smoothly 😂
You have to laugh though don’t you.
I could never have walked along that harbour walk, without any barriers!
Fabulous vlog though. Love watching your vlogs 💕
Loved this

Bob and Jenny, in between Charmouth and Abbotsbury you missed West Bay which is one of the nicest places around that area.
Yes there is so much to see and only so much time to film (and edit). 🙂
I liked charnmouth, but I couldn't walk on that 2alk at Lyme regis, but still a lovely day out with beautiful scenery xx
Another great video 👍
Love the pink floyd reference 😎 enjoyed this vlog a lot, that seawall looked terrifying 🥴
Great...🙂👍
Hi Bob & Jenny.
Great vlog.
We are at Highlands end in July, near Bridport.
Going to do the Seaton tramway looks absolutely lovely.

Well, I went from “Ooooh, those roads are narrow!” to “Blimey, it’s busy there!” to laughing my socks off at the Abbey remains! 😂 Loved it! 👍😁😁💕
Another good trip out 🐕👍
Don't worry Bob - enjoyment , jeopardy and comedy aplenty.
Success is buried in the garden of failure - we've been digging for years.
Great saying!
I twisted my ankle on The Cobb once! 😂 my ankle blew up like a balloon! Lyme will be rammed, come back after silly season, it’ll be a touch cooler but more spacial. Andy and Kim.

Glad you are both still laughing. Dorset is beautiful though.
Another great video thankyou. While you are there, West Bay is really nice to visit. It’s not far from Charmouth. I would visit in the week though and probably early because it can get quite busy. Cheers 👍
Loved the latest video, very funny 😆 things don’t always go to plan do they.

We would like to come back when it's a bit quieter.
All the best plans in the world sometimes go astray. That was one of those days. Goodness knows how busy it is in high season
Just think of the exercise you guys had 😂😂😂
I think Henry made a good job of destroying that abbey, wonder why they left one wall??
Maybe because they knew that one day someone would make,a video tour of it🤪😎
Thanks guys
Lol 👍👍😊
Are you going to do a trip around Devon soon
Not this year, a lot of Devon and Cornwall we haven't seen yet!
Thank you very much, glad you find it useful.
Dogs are allowed on east beach and west beach but not the central (sandy) section.
I had a bit of a thing for Meryl Streep in her Lyme Cobb outfit back in the day.😉(Don't tell my wife, though!🤣)
A bit of a Cob for Meryl eh?
You could say that…….🤣
Yep , enjoyed this, I saw a wall last week too
I was almost shouting at the tv, not sure where the sat nav was sending you. Really felt sorry for you - all the narrow roads. We stop at Charmouth nearly every year, so visit Lyme Regis a lot. (We put on to reminiss! - so thank you for the video)

No use shouting at the TV, this was two years ago. 😀 Can't even remember what happened. I'll have to watch the video now!
@BobEarnshawMoHo no it's no use shouting at the tv in any situation lol! Those roads were awful - don't let it put you off going back
Good video but you should have gone to the Swannery which is brilliant. Loads of the history of the abbey there. When they used to farm the swans. Also hundreds of swans with babies. A sight to see.
No dogs allowed. 😔
@@BobEarnshawMoHo you could have gone to the subtropical gardens with Poppy. Has a view point over Chesil beach.
@@leebrewtea9339 the gardens r beautiful we used to take our dog. Worth going again and they have a lovely cafe
Free Parking to make up for the bad day? That was busy at that second place you went to.
And dont forget to Hit the Notification Bell..Bob your Slipping 🤭
Disappointed jenny didnt know exactly where chuck the 2nd ran away from.btw bob you would be lost without jenny.how many road signs do you miss lol.great vlog
Love Lyme Regis, don’t think you did it justice I’m afraid.
No, a little too busy for us that day, I'm afraid.
Hi Guys where do you vet your History facts from on the areas you visit ? Stay safe.
They're normally English Heritage or Wikipedia.
😊👍
Couldn't have been easy for King Charles, no dogs on the beach, how did he get his Spaniels out LOL
😁😁😁
I enjoyed it but did you???
Oh yes, a great day out, just not as we imagined.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo I guess with most people stopping at home it is going to be extra busy in coastal resorts.

Morning Bob n Jenny I have been to Lyme many times but you showed me parts that I’ve never encountered before 😀 I think you’re satnag was having a laugh! Still it made for interesting viewing. Enjoy the res of your trip 👍
Think it was on shortest possible route.
Hi Bob and Jenny. I do realise that visiting the Swannery May not have been possible with Poppy. Sorry again if this sounds a bit negative but I assure you that I value your output and enjoy it greatly.
We couldn't have gone to the Swannery anyway as dogs are not allowed. Abbotsbury was a last minute impulse thing. Not like us to be impulsive!
It’s not called a “breathtaking view” for nuffin 😂
