Hello Jennifer, I have just subscribed to your channel, and I must say that living in the land locked West Midlands of the UK your video bought a breath of fresh air to a 70 year old fella who due to disability since 2011 means I have not been to the seaside now for 13 years, UA-cam has been my best friend now for a good while and mixed in with all the dross, click bait videos and fake reviews you occasionally come across a channel that is peaceful, gentle, full of vibes that tingle your senses and creates an ambience within one’s soul, things have gone on in my life recently that have saddened me, bought me close to tears from time to time. But watching your video going around Lyme Regis reminded me of my younger days in Llandudno , North Wales, your happy joyous looking face, the lovely music, what is it please ?, and for a while I forgot all my concerns, worries and finished watching with a smile on my face , an aura surrounding me that gave me a cloak of contentment, thank you so much for sharing your short journey, I will now start looking at your other videos, today you made an unhappy person a little happier, thank you so much Jennifer, Mike ❤
Dear Mike, I am sitting here with my youngest daughter in an old country home from the 17th century in France, where I have my current housesit. I just finished editing another video which is now uploading and while it does, I have been reading your comment and it brought tears to my eyes, as well. Thank you so much for your deep soultouching comment on my humble video. It means so much to me. I used to be a teacher and have always tried to emotionally move my students and to make their days a little better, even though the grading would sometimes work against those efforts. After I had to stop teaching due to several illnesses, I thought that now, it is only myself I can try to make happy. I did not expect that my videos of it would touch the souls of some of my viwers in such a profound way and it makes me so very happy, that I seem to have found a way again, to give something to people out in this beautiful though difficult world... So. Thank you, for letting me know ❤️
And for the music, I thought, I could easily look it up but I was wrong. It will take me some time for I forgot to save the source... I am still learning. I will start writing down all music in the description from now on... 😀

Hi Jenni. Still getting around to watching your older videos,.I really liked this one. Many years ago I walked over the cliffs to From Lyme Regis Seaton to. Been to Lyme many times - swimming in the sea in summer. Both beautiful seaside towns. Wow your "camper" van is certainly compact..

Jennie, thank you for bringing back memories. My brother lived on top of the cliff there and I used to love staying there. He died 3 years ago and I haven't been back. It is a place with a lot of character and plenty of opportunities to hunt fossils. I laughed to myself when I saw where you were parked, knowing that the walk back up was horrendous. If you had walked to Monmouth Beach next to the Cobb there is a small bowling green. There are steps there that lead up to the car park. It is strangely much less tiring to walk up the steps rather than negotiate a steep hill. That river falling onto the beach leads back up to Uplyme. It is a lovely walk along its banks. Thank you for sharing with us. I will share a funny story with you. The seagulls there are the Top Gun fighter pilots in the seagull world. When I was there last, a gull snatched a full dish of fish and chips from someone. It was immediately chased by a flock of gulls intent on stealing its prize. As a result, the gull dropped the meal onto the beach. Unfortunately, a young lady was sitting there reading a book and it dropped into her lap. What followed was a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's, The Birds. They descended on her on mass and she is probably still traumatised to this day. To an observer it was hilarious.
Oh 😂 I can picture the seagull Story so well for I witnessed something a little similar in Étretat, France... I captured the last part of the seagull story on camera so you can see it in my Étretat video... I am happy and sad at the same time reading your beautiful letter to me: happy that I could make you relive your memories and sad to hear about your brother ❤️ Thank you so very much for sharing with me. Love your capture of sailboats drifting on the ocean waves but I'm not a fan of getting in the water, cold or warm! LOL! I'm afraid of the huge monsters living in it! 😮🤣
Haha... yes, I agree that can be scary. There are also monsters living in German cellars, trying to grab frightened little girls feet when running back up the stairs whenever she has fetched whatever her mom told her to get in those spooky dark rooms 😀

Hi Jenny, Lyme Regis looks lovely with its brightly coloured houses. The view out to the sea looked so nice, it’s a place I’ve never been. I must admit I need to some more sightseeing in the uk, my husband as done a lot of travelling in the uk as he was in the RAF for fifteen years. He went to a lot of the airfields in the uk installing the navigation aids and radar . He did six months down the Falkland Islands, that’s was an interesting experience. Lol I must say you have taken to driving on the left side of the road so easily. I take my hat off to you as I find some of are roads are quite complicated with us been quite small. I will have 2 vanlife days in England and then go to a housesit in the normandie together with my youngest daughter. Afterwards, I will do more vanlife in France 😀

8 pound for four hours parking that is a ripp off its the same jere in southend on sea and they wonder why seafront towns struggle .a electric blanket is a life saver when it gets cold and use very little electric and will jeat the car van aswell

Es gibt Momente oder Themen, in denen /zu denen ich gerne in meiner Muttersprache sprechen möchte, ich muss mal schauen, ob ich einige Videos in 2 Sprachen mache, doch die Reisedokumentationen werden wohl auf Englisch bleiben. Ich finde es auch schön, dass jetzt erstaunlicherweise so Menschen aus ganz unterschiedlichen Ländern meinen Kanal gefunden haben und mögen, weil Englisch weltweit eher verstanden wird, als deutsch. During the pandemic my husband became ill and needed brain surgery and a long spell in hospital. It is only now that I feel able to venture out on my own and this will happen soon. (fingers crossed.) I aim to go up and down the UK researching my ancestors.

The Cobb also featured in the movie The French Lieutenant’s Woman. Meryl Streep famously walked to the end of the Cobb in a very atmospheric image.
