I appreciate that you rate this device on it's merits, as a budget device, based on it's price point, not comparing it to a Pixel or Apple product. That's just unreasonable. Now, the Motorola Moto g 5g, recently came out. Other than the A15, isn't 5g, and E-sim capable, I'd like to see a comparison video. I'm in Canada. How many security patch updates are, or will be available? My guess that this phone came with, and will stay with Android 13?

Thanks for the video. Quick question. Does this company at least update their phone for at least one software update? (Meaning it will get Android 14). Or is this a disposable phone that you buy a new one every year due to the low price?
When i used the umidigi a9 pro it got a softwate update from android 9 to 10. they might release the a16 with android 14 instead of doing updates but I'm hoping they will do at least 1

Unisoc is a fairly new player in this game, is the SOC any good, for someone who doesn't play games, but watches lots of you tube, for example. How is battery drain and general overall phone function? How is the call quality, and reception?
The unisoc is very good it doesn't show lag or stutters which is great , it does well when it comes to battery 6-8 hrs SOT and the calls were clear but not very loud reception is great no issues with that. For UA-cam this device is an excellent beautiful display but not too bright outdoors
I bought the A15 back in November of 23, The charge port has quit working a month ago. You try to get product support from Amazon for the Umidigi, after 30 days it's not existent. You try to contact their website in China and you have to jump through hoops and then you still can't get through to them because the website has not been updated since 2019, another Chinese rip off. It may work well for a while, The camera only has 10x zoom by the way. Protective cases that actually fit this phone almost don't exist. In my opinion I wasted $170 on a piece of Chinese junk. This is one company I would love to see fail. No customer support no warranty no nothing. 👎👎👎
i got one a couple of weeks ago and it's definitely a lot better than i thought it would be.
HOWEVER, the low volume issue is what killed it for me. even with headphones, it's still way too low. i personally won't be using it for my daily.

I've been using WAZE, mostly Maps here and there, and every now it then it drops, but comes right back up immediately. It's been very reliable

@@CButler It had no Data icon in the settings, no way to turns mobile data on and off. Nothing could been done about it, I wasted countless hours trying to no avail.

You have to add your apn settings in manually, I have an old video on how to do it step by step
@@CButler I tried but no such option was available, somewhere online they said it's a firmware issue and what not... I gave up and returned it, refund pending.
