IF youre looking for a truck and dont plan to tune or do anything with and have great reliability and dont mind the sluggishness, the 7.3 psd is a great pick. Keep in mind any diesel is going to be expensive to maintain if you rag on it/beat on it. I had a 6.0 and the previous owner had a hot tune, with no studs, and he towed heavy with it consistantly and just overall treated it like shit, therefore when we bought it, we found it was blown up and had to send it to a shop and get the headgaskets replaced, studs, dummyplugs, standpipes, a new EGR, etc for around $11,000. 6.0's are also amazing trucks if you know forsure the previous owner(s) took care of it. Also keep in mind tuning your truck will make it fun as hell but if its not taken care of propely it will forsure cost you some money. 6.0 if you have the budget and the time to deal with the headaches, 7.3 if you dont mind it being slow, but it will be damn well one of the most reliable trucks you can get your hands on. Lb7's and the 5.9's are also great picks but can be more expensive trucks to find in good condition.
