You should check out the new capri xl 3/8. It's like 20" long, and it's 90 tooth. I like the new 120xp ratchets. I havent had any issues. They actually just came out with a 18" long fixed head version too.

The generation one icon ratchets had a significant issue with jamming gears. The Gen 2 solve that issue and are pretty nice. Ratchets and third generation have a little bit more back drag than the second generation

Hey man, I have the set of 4, 120xp. Although I really like them, I was seriously considering the new version for the smaller head and thicker shaft. Thanks for the heads up on the new ones. Have you ever tried the 84T? They have them on Prime day sale, set of 11 for 350 CAD. I have a few Koken, definitely my favorite for head size and backdrag. Reasonably priced and worth trying if you haven't!
Btw...Capri makes a long 90t (CP90S38L)like that gearwrench. Something to check out if you break that one👍

I love the 84t! Have a flex head 1/4. And a 15" non flex 1/2. They feel the same as the 90t very little difference

Man, Thats good to know! I have till midnight to pull the trigger on that set! That's $32 each and there's four 1/2 drives alone, one is a 24" locking flex head. That thing alone is over $150 CAD. Gearwrench isn't as cheap up here! I really like the shallow head, but I have no way to put hands on them to see how smooth they are, and I trust you've used enough to know the difference, so thanks!... I've got the old logo 120xp and I hate the new Logo as well! lol

Right on man, you'll be happy with the 84t. I always get to them instead of the 90t because there cheaper and literally the same feeling, smooth as silk. I have the stubby 84 tooth 3/8 and use it daily at work love it. Let me know if you pulled the trigger!

Pulled it! I'm stoked to have that many options for ratchets! Also snagged a GW 84pc torx/Allen set cuz I'm too cheap for the Blue Point lol and 2 sets of the GW 39pc impacts, shallow and deep in both metric and SAE up to 30mm & 1 1/2". 78 sockets w/couple rare skips. Toss up between those and Sunex, but I like the bigger etching and the the chamfered inserts on the drive side, which I prefer. Always wondered why a lot of the higher end sockets don't chamfer? Saved over $425 CAD on Prime Day between those four sets! Not sure how it all turned out, GW, I buy plenty of other brands, but it seemed like the move.
Thanks for the nudge on those 84t's man!

I've had good luck with Apex Tool ratchets. They are reasonably priced and hold up to everyday use. Gearwrench ratchets are a 1/4 of the price of Matco. I was just never impressed with Matco's line of ratchets.

I am looking for the Craftsman flex 1/2 ratchet them are selling for 300 on eBay and going to get higher are they any ratchets that u recommend that are going up in value to resale are they any snap on that sell for more than original price they usually sell for half the original price
