specifically Time Loves A Hero, shares more than a few similar elements, tempo is similar, groove, singing melody and the harmonies are similar, yeah you can definitely here the bros are on a Lowell trip :)))
I love how Joey knows how to play just the minimum needed for the song. With that baritone It’s just the perfect sound when he’s playing quiet and clean (3rd song). Great singing guys!
Not to be a know it all but it’s actually a standard gold top les Paul with p90s but he uses an unusually heavy set of strings tuned down to (I think ) open C
So glad I found out who Mike Carbone (spelling?) is. Nothing flash but such great feel! Out of curiosity, does Dave play in E standard? Joey usually plays in open C so I wonder if Dave is also tuned lower.
if you cant get drunk and you cant get sober...you must be me and it must be your birthday too...so get to bed cause u aint me and im just getting up ...ohhh good stuff and happy bday
Aw man...the one pedal thing didn't work here with the mix...didn't sit in well in the rythm part...could be the mastering? Still love it though, just not my taste and what i'm used to what I'm hearing from him.
Shut up Denis. It’s his sound and his music. Listen or don’t. Can’t please everyone so he plays what he likes. Did you listen to the 2nd song? Perfect tone.
87 is my all time favorite album❤❤❤
Lowell George, Little Feat, Derek Trucks, Dixie Dregs and tons of good music and musicians so well packed in your music. Awesome!
Thanks for "Clean" - Jonathan Byrds writes such good songs...I remember "Fathersday" in the moment...
Dang joeys guitar tone especially on the second song is utter fire!!!!
I absolutely love Paste Magazine!! The Brothers Landreth are awesome!
This 4th song is such a gem for sure got a LIttle Feat vibe !
Brilliant performance. The melody of the chorus to Maryanne is beautiful. I listened to the whole video three times. Very good!
Greetings from Holland. Great music!

Maybe not a “standard” Les Paul - keep Googling 😉👍
❤
Getting some Jackson Browne vibes from that slide playing.
Ha. I thought the exact same thing and then scrolled down.
So actually you’re getting David Lindley vibes then. Jackson doesn’t play slide.

Hey Joey! Did you use just one pedal for this show? What pedal? Great sound ever!
"Got to be you" ....Little Feet in a bottle....

@@pastemagazine Why you don't put them back together? ;)
On the cd the snare is way too loud 😱
I came here because of the goldtop Gibson
Cowboy chords are fine if the song is right
Denis Foley you need to chill out Den

I guess Ariel got fed up with Joey's shit.
Guitar has a blown speaker.
Look Mom! I've got a new distortion pedal!! Ain't it cool! No, it's actually not.
DRop the distortion on the Gibson ,,,,,,,
I dont see any Gibson there.
@@WilfulAlmond6 my mistake

The rest of the session sounds pretty good but I agree the distortion sounds a bit brittle....must be the recording. Joey is a tone master
